Kundalini Meditation - Day 29 of 49
Day 29 of a 49 features a Kundalini Meditation. This 49 Day Meditation Series is based on the Art of Conscious Evolution Chakra deck by Kate Lemay. Today's theme is Kundalini in the Root, First Chakra or Muladhara. Kate's 49 paintings each honor a different chakra, 7 each for the 7 main energy centers. We will be moving from root to crown, and back down again, alternating for 7 weeks. I hope you enjoy the journey and are inspired by the paintings, themes and whimsy of the incredible artist, Kate Lemay.

Welcome to your day 29 meditation. Today's theme is Kundalini. I'll be reading the description of Kate Lemay's painting and chakra card, Kundalini.
Coiled at the base of the spine, Kundalini energy is primal, cosmic energy, also called Prana or Shakti. Become aware of this powerful energy within you. The mantra for this painting in card is I feel the energy.
Find a place where your spine can be long. If you can, close your eyes.
Bring your awareness to the base of your spine. The root chakra, the color is red, and if you want, you can allow the breath to travel up and down the spine. So as you inhale, drawing your awareness from the base of the spine all along the spine, up to the crown of the head and just above it. And then as you exhale, allow the breath to settle and bring your awareness back down the spine, back to its base. Giving the breath a little job to do, like traveling up and down your spine can allow it to create more of a rhythm.
Allow your body and your breath to settle.
Kundalini resides at the base of our spine. It is our prana, our life force energy, ready to be awakened.
If you're looking to maximize your potential, know that it already exists. Your life force, your essence, your energy is a superpower, an endless well.
Allow yourself to breathe into its power, into its light, into its resource.
As you meditate on Kundalini. You can whisper quietly, inwardly to yourself. The mantra. I feel the energy. And when you hear the sound of the singing bowl, you will know your meditation is complete.
Bring your awareness back to your body, back to the present moment. If you can, draw your hands to your heart center, palms together.
Namaste.
