Snowman Meditation - Day 35 of 49
Day 35 of a 49 features a Snowman Meditation. This 49 Day Meditation Series is based on the Art of Conscious Evolution Chakra deck by Kate Lemay. Today's theme is Snowman in the Crown, Seventh Chakra or Sahasrara. Kate's 49 paintings each honor a different chakra, 7 each for the 7 main energy centers. We will be moving from root to crown, and back down again, alternating for 7 weeks. I hope you enjoy the journey and are inspired by the paintings, themes and whimsy of the incredible artist, Kate Lemay.

Welcome to your Day 35 Meditation. Today's theme is Snowman. I'll be reading the description of Kate Lemay's painting and chakra card, Snowman.
Imagine searching for a particular person in the busy streets of New York City. Now imagine searching for that same person standing alone in an open snow covered field.
Meditation changes the scene so you can see clearly what you seek.
The mantra for this painting and card is meditate.
Find a place where you can maintain a nice long spine. If you can, close your eyes.
Allow yourself to arrive to this moment. One way to come in to the present moment is through the portal of the breath. Notice the breath moving in and out.
If you'd like, you can bring your awareness to the crown of the head and feel a gentle lifting and lengthening through the crown. Maybe you sit up a little bit taller. The color associated with the crown is violet or white light.
This is where we connect to the divine, where we receive inspiration, where we are open to possibilities.
It is also sometimes where we can connect in meditation. This painting honors meditation.
And one thing you can do in meditation is allow scenes to appear before you. If you want to play with visualization, you can build a snowman in your mind. So maybe you allow a snowy scene to appear before you and you begin to build.
There are no rules, so a snowman could appear out of magic. You could do the work to slowly build your snowman. You don't have to do it alone. You can have a snowman building team. Maybe you wanna build a snow sorcerer, a snow goddess. And you could spend your entire meditation building your snowman, or you can complete your work and sit back and admire it.
Maybe you just notice the resistance rise up, not wanting to build a snowman, and you just sit with that resistance. Get curious.
As you meditate on snowman, you can whisper quietly, inwardly to yourself, the mantra, meditate. And when you hear the sound of the singing bowl, you will know your meditation is complete.
(PAUSE TO REFLECT)
Bring your awareness back to your body. Draw your hands to your heart center.
Honor your snowman and all the ways that you show up for yourself. Namaste.
