Day 37 of a 49 features an Inky Skies Meditation. This 49 Day Meditation Series is based on the Art of Conscious Evolution Chakra deck by Kate Lemay. Today's theme is Inky Skies in the Third Eye, Sixth Chakra or Ajna. Kate's 49 paintings each honor a different chakra, 7 each for the 7 main energy centers. We will be moving from root to crown, and back down again, alternating for 7 weeks. I hope you enjoy the journey and are inspired by the paintings, themes and whimsy of the incredible artist, Kate Lemay.

Welcome to your Day 37 Meditation. Today's theme is Inky Skies. I'll be reading the description of Kate Lemay's painting and chakra card, Inky Skies.

Have you ever looked up at a vast starry sky at night? The feeling of endless space and the fact that you are standing on a huge rotating rock in a living body with this life, in this space and time, it's enough to bring you to tears in moments of needed perspective.

Go outside on a dark starry night and look up. Lucky, miraculous, you enjoy the journey. The mantra for this painting in card is I recognize the magnitude.

Find a position where you can maintain a long spine. Close your eyes if you can allow yourself to arrive to this moment. Maybe notice the breath moving in and out.

If you like, you could bring your awareness to your third eye center of the eyebrows. The color is indigo.

In the third eye, we call on our intuition. Our insight, our inner vision.

And if you'd like, you could imagine that you are outside at night gazing up at a starry sky.

One beautiful thing about the imagination is when you're imagining staring at a starry sky, anything is possible. It can be any phase of the moon. There can be shooting stars. Maybe you see auroras.

But it just allow yourself to be in the vastness of it all.

As you meditate on Inky Skies, you can whisper quietly, inwardly to yourself. The mantra, I recognize the magnitude, and when you hear the sound of the singing bowl, you will know your meditation is complete.

(PAUSE TO REFLECT)

Begin to bring your awareness back to your body, back to this moment.

If you can, draw your hands, palms together at your heart center. Namaste.
