Season 2 Episode 53

Send us a text

Day 44 of a 49 features a Body Meditation. This 49 Day Meditation Series is based on the Art of Conscious Evolution Chakra deck by Kate Lemay. Today's theme is Body in the Sacral, Second Chakra or Svadhisthana. Kate's 49 paintings each honor a different chakra, 7 each for the 7 main energy centers. We will be moving from root to crown, and back down again, alternating for 7 weeks. I hope you enjoy the journey and are inspired by the paintings, themes and whimsy of the incredible artist, Kate Lemay.

Welcome to your Day 44 Meditation. Today's theme is Body. I'll be reading the description of Kate Lemay's painting and chakra card, Body. So many times we spend our lives in our heads, letting this small amount of space in our bodies dictate how we move in this world. Our bodies wholly amplify our ability to experience the world around us.

Your mind wants to protect you. Your body is the guide to dreams, to what you're capable of doing. When you're contemplating your dreams, take action. Feel. Be in your body and enjoy your body. Treat it well, as it is the mechanism for feeling. The mantra for this painting and card is I feel.

Find a place where you can maintain a nice, long spine. If you can, close your eyes.

Tune into the breath, notice how it's moving and feeling in the body today. Sometimes just by becoming aware of it, it begins to slow down a little bit.

If you want, you can breathe into the sacral area just below the belly button, the color is orange, the seat of our emotions, the center for feeling.

Breathe into your body for a moment.

Breathe into the idea that this vessel, this body, chose you in this lifetime.

It is constantly giving you clues, signals, information.

What an honor and a privilege it is to be in your body, to feel, to experience, and to let it guide you.

As you meditate on body, you can whisper quietly, inwardly, to yourself the mantra, I feel.

And when you hear the sound of the singing bowl, you will know your meditation is complete.

(PAUSE TO REFLECT)

Bring your awareness back to your body. Draw your hands to your heart center if you can. If even just for a moment, allow yourself to be in your body today. Let it lead the way. Namaste.
