Cultivating Wellness in a Sick Society- From Self-Care to Soul-Alignment
Welcome to Season 7! This season is dedicated to exploring how we can cultivate true wellness in a sick society during profoundly chaotic times—not just for ourselves, but in service to something greater.
Inspired by the powerful quote by Krishnamurti: "It is no measure of health to be well-adjusted to a profoundly sick society," we're diving into the deep work of healing—not just as self-care, but as a path to purpose, dharma, and collective transformation.
In this episode, hosts Adina Arden-Cooper and Joshua Zamrin set the tone for this season’s journey by exploring key themes such as the limitations of modern wellness culture, the shift from ego-centric healing to soul-aligned living, and the powerful role of embodiment in navigating today’s world.
They begin by acknowledging how modern wellness culture often remains trapped in an egocentric paradigm—focused on individual optimization, personal health hacks, and self-improvement. While these practices can be valuable, they are extremely limited and at least, in part, a by product of our Western consumerist culture. The bigger question to be asking is:
What happens when we expand our sense of wellness beyond the small self?
Through soulful dialogue, personal reflection, and embodied wisdom, Joshua and Adina explore how true well-being is not just about feeling good in isolation but aligning with a deeper calling, a purpose that connects us to the whole.
Together, Adina and Joshua discuss:
✅ The shift from self-focused healing to soul-aligned living
✅ Why true wellness requires us to remember our interconnection with nature, spirit, and each other
✅ How our individual soul purpose and dharma naturally emerge when we do the hard work of true Self-exploration instead of surface-level wellness hacks
✅ The mythopoetic and ancestral perspectives on healing—not as a personal journey, but a sacred responsibility
✅ How nervous system regulation, embodiment, and ritual can help us navigate a world that feels chaotic and out of balance
Join us as we begin this exploration of what it means to thrive—not just in body, but in soul, in relationship, and in service to the greater whole.
Joshua Zamrin is a nomadic soul guide, somatic life coach, and sacred purpose mentor, deeply immersed in the realms of embodiment, shamanic wisdom, and mythopoetic exploration. With a background in nervous system regulation, mindfulness, and compassionate communication, he weaves together ancient and modern practices to help others reconnect with their deepest truth. His work is rooted in rites of passage, initiation, and the sacred journey of becoming, drawing inspiration from indigenous traditions, soul-centered psychology, and the raw wisdom of nature.
