Hey, welcome into It's Okay, the podcast. Happy Easter Sunday. I hope you guys are doing amazing on this amazing, amazing, awesome holy day. God is so amazing. He shows up in all of our lives, whether we want him to or not. We are going to have our judgment day, whether we want to or not, whether you believe in him or not. But that is not my case to bring with you today. I thought it would be fitting, right? I've mentioned in, I'm not sure on the podcast or in social media posts how I would like to have episodes dedicated to a Bible study, a reading of the Bible, stories in the Bible, different things like that. Why not do it on this amazing Easter Sunday? I think it's I think it's fitting. I think it's absolutely fitting. And of course, the celebration of Easter Sunday, um, Good Friday, and everything like that has to do with the the crucifixion of Christ and then his resurrection on Sunday. Now I also saw something that's like Easter Monday. Um, I am a new uh studier of Christ, I should say. Um, I would like to think that I am a Christian. I would more so say that I'm an evangelical Christian, um, but I have so much work to do in the Lord, in his word, and in the Bible. So I finally have a Bible, the King James Version. I do like the King James Version, the NIV version I think is just as great, but I think that from my studies, I found that the King James Version was the next translation from the Hebrew, so it was Hebrew first, then it was translated into English, the King James Version first, and then the other versions came after that. And I for some reason am just I'm such a stickler, I'm such a stickler. If I could learn to um know Hebrew, I would read the Hebrew Bible instead, but I studying and trying to learn Hebrew, girl, and then like I'm trying to learn Spanish, girl. So to think I'm gonna learn Hebrew, let's not get into all that. But for me, the King James Version is just fine. I finally got a King James Version Bible from my little sister. Thank you so much. I have been just using the Bible app, which absolutely nothing wrong with the Bible app. I actually love to use both of them now, the Bible app, so it can read to me and I can read along with my physical book. But having a physical book is just amazing to me. So I am absolutely loving it and love studying it. So I think we for this small brief introduction into the It's Okay comma, the podcast, Bible studies. Why not start with the gospel according to Matthew, one of Jesus' disciples, right? So on this Easter Sunday, this is kind of what is something that we are discussing, what we are talking about, you know, whenever you go to church on Easter Sunday, like this is predominantly the stories that they're going to speak about. This is why we are celebrating on this holy day. It is the crucifixion and then the resurrection of Christ. So I thought we would kind of go back, right, to the gospel according to Matthew, and let's kind of start in Matthew one, right? So you have the birth of Christ. Now, we and me for sure, like when you're younger and you're learning about God and all of this stuff, it's just such a foreign concept to you, and like as you get older, it like becomes so out of your realm, right? You're like doing everything other than God. That is not the case for some people. Some people are, you know, um underneath the guise of God for their entire lives and they continue to do such. I wish that was the case for me, but it wasn't, and that is okay. You can always find your way to Christ no matter what age, no matter what you're going through. That is definitely um God's message for sure. But I am, you know, you listen to the beginning of Christ's life, Jesus' life, and you're like, oh, the Virgin Mary, she just randomly like had a baby, like that's such a lie. And it's like, but did you read or did someone actually tell you the full context, the full story? Because I too was just like, oh, you just hear like, oh, she just got pregnant, like, oh, like I don't know, you don't just hear the entire story behind it. So, like, why not like go back a little bit, right? So, according to Matthew and according to all of his other disciples, you know, Jesus was born from Mary, right? Mary was sought out, or Mary was living life in, I think they were in, I don't know if they were in Israel, Babylon, or if they were in Jerusalem. I think they were in Jerusalem. Question mark. Um, we're doing a brief um interpretation. I am not um a theologian, I am not a like hard-hitting, like, I know everything about the Bible, I know everything about the story. I do have it open. I kind of skimmed through a little bit of Matthew, and even if you do like a Bible in a year challenge, like you have to be a lifelong studier of the Bible. So, yes, Mary is in that part of the area, Middle East. They're in the Middle East. We know they're in the Middle East for sure. They're in the Middle East, that's where they are. Um, so she is there, right? And God above impregnates her, gives her the Holy Spirit in her womb. In her womb. I just think that that's it's like it's so amazing. Now Mary is to be married to Joseph, and she's pregnant, and Joseph is like, uh, I don't even, I don't even know. And so Matthew describes then Joseph, her husband, being a just man and not willing to make her a public example, was minded to put her away privily. But while he thought of these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, Joseph was the son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary, thy wife. So don't fear to take Mary as your wife. For that which is conceived in her is the Holy Ghost. So God appears before Joseph and lets Joseph know, like, look, what's inside of your soon-to-be wife? Mary is the Holy Ghost, is my only begotten son. You need to marry her. Forget what everybody else is saying, pretty much. And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Jesus, for he shall save his people from their sins. So already God is knowing that the world, the people, this world, they're sinners. We're going to sin. We need a savior, because if not, he's gonna end us all. And we need Jesus. That is what I gather from this text, right? Then Joseph, being raised from sleep, did as the angel of the Lord had bidded him and took unto him his wife. So he took heed of the angel coming to him and saying, Like, look, you need to marry her wife, and he did. Now, Jesus was born in Bethlehem, right? But fled because Harod, the king, wanted him dead. Because the wise men, you hear about the wise men, the wise men wanted to worship him and called him Jesus, the king of Jews. So when the king heard about this, he's like, Why is the wise men wanting to seek out this this this son, this Jesus, calling him the son of Jews? No, he must die. And so they fled Bethlehem, and Harod came anyway and killed all children that were two years old or younger. When I heard that, I said, Oh my god, he is serious about this. He does not want to um have you know another prophet or anything like that. Now, this when Jesus fled, when Jesus and actually Jesus, Mary, and Joseph fled, they went to Egypt, and you know, the king killed all of the children, two years um are younger, and you know, they go throughout life. The king obviously is old, and those who were seeking Jesus, including the king, you know, they eventually died, and so Jesus was able to return with um with um Joseph and Mary, so they went back to Bethlehem, and this is where Jesus is being all that he can be. Jesus, he is teaching us all of these amazing lessons, he is walking on water, he is telling us to love the enemy. In Matthew 5:38, he says, Ye have heard that it hath been said, an eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth. But I say unto you that ye resist not evil, but whose ever shall smite thee, and thy right cheek turn to him the other also. I said, Oh my god, God is saying, Turn the cheek, do not be um smiteful to your enemies. This is hard to do, we know, but these are just all of these amazing lessons that God gave to the people of Bethlehem, Jerusalem, Israel, all of the things. Um, also, you have Matthew 6 5, the Lord's Prayer. And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, they have their reward. But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thy hast shut thy door, pray to thy father, which is in secret, and thy father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly. But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions of the heathen do, for they think they for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking, but not ye therefore like unto them, for your father knoweth what things ye have need of, but ye ask him. After this manner, therefore pray ye, our Father, which art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done in earth, and it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil, for thine in the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen. Woo! It just gives me chills every time. And so I actually have read this passage quite a bit, not even just the Lord's Prayer, Thy kingdom come, thy be done in earth and in heaven. But like whenever he says quite literally, and this is something that I have to catch myself doing because when you're praying, you know, you don't want to continuously pray in repetition, just saying the same thing every day, like, oh, thank you, God, for getting me home, thank you, God, for getting me to and from safely, and um, I pray for my family, like da-da-da-da-da. You say the same thing over and over and over again. And he's quite literally telling us in Matthew 6 6, but thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thy hast shut thy door, pray to thy father within secret, and thy father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly. Matthew 6 7. But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions as the heathen do. So pretty much he's saying, like, people who aren't necessarily um actually trying to follow on the path of Christ, they're just going through the motions. This is something that they do, and that we should not do it. An amazing lesson, an amazing lesson, and lessons on riches and worries, and even on fasting, and you know, making judgments and um different prayers and different things like that. Like it's just it's it's really, it's really amazing. Also, um, before his um uh great lessons, you know, um, he was baptized, so John actually baptizes. This is something that I am newly learning. I actually didn't know until I decided to do this Bible study. I'm like, oh wow, John the Baptist, because you hear the name John the Baptist, right? Well, John the Baptist is the one who baptizes people and he baptized Jesus. Um, and in Matthew 4, 13, we're gonna backtrack a little bit, and Matthew 4, 13, then cometh Jesus from Galilee to Jordan unto John, to be baptized of him. But John forbade him, saying, I have need to be baptized of thee, and comest thou to me? And Jesus answering said unto him, Suffer it to be so now, for thus it becometh us to fulfill all righteousness. Then he suffered him. And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water, and lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and lightning upon him, and alo, a voice from heaven saying, This is my beloved son, in whom I am well pleased, so beautiful, so incredibly beautiful. And when you hear stories like this, okay, we are looking and reading these things through our 2026 year eyes, right? We couldn't even imagine or fathom like God descending to us or walking to us or anything like that, right? You have some people who claim that that has occurred to them, they hear a voice, they hear Jesus, Jesus sent them a dream or different things like that. Who am I to say that those people are wrong? I I don't know. I don't know. I have crazy dreams all the time. And I remember them briefly for like 30 minutes when I first wake up, and someone actually gave me a really good note. They were like, you should like write down what your dream was, or you should like um do a voice note of what your dream was so that you can actually remember it. Because sometimes when I wake up, I just know that I had a crazy dream, but I don't remember what it was. And then sometimes I wake up and I remember that I had a crazy dream and I remember it for like 30 minutes, and I'm like trying to reaccount like everything that happened. I'm like, oh my gosh, I can't believe I had this crazy dream. And then like I forget and like I don't remember. There's only a couple of crazy dreams that I've ever had that I will remember for the rest of my life. Um, go back and listen to the Halloween special if you want to hear one of those crazy dreams. That dream, yeah, that dream was scary, crazy. But to think that like Jesus was baptized and like he arose out of the water like in this magical way. Like, I believe it to be true. I believe it to be true, and it's just it's amazing. So he's just got all of these amazing stories, the Lord's Prayer and things like that on all the things that we should be doing, and it's also very crazy to think that like God, He I mean, He is all-knowing, right? He knows all. He knows all. And for him to know, right, that like his disciples, so he appointed disciples. Um it first started with when um Jesus sends out the 12. Not the 12, but when did he appoint his disciples? What chapter was that? Prayer of good actions, Jesus warns some cities, Jesus, the greatest in the kingdom. I know he deployed where did he deploy these disciples? The meaning of tares, the death of John the Baptist. Girl, when did John die? I am confused. I don't think it's that confusing, it's just confusing in the way, like you really have to sit down and like read the entire chapter. Like just read it. Because at first he just had okay, yes. In Matthew 4, 18, Jesus calls the first disciples, and Jesus walking by the Sea of Galilee, saw two brethren, Simon called Peter and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea, for they were fishers. And he said unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men. And they straightway left their nets and followed him. Now, see, this is the crazy thing. We have phones, we have infrastructure, we have all of these things, right? To imagine like a barren land, and you're just out fishing, and a man comes up to you and he says, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men. This was in this was A D, like this was after Christ. Like this is this isn't even this is way way before our time, right? To imagine this, like that's kind of it makes sense, right? Like you're just on a rock. And someone passes you. You haven't seen people like that. You like, I'm going with this man because I ain't got nothing better to do. It ain't like I got an iPhone to play on. So they're like, I'm going. So, I mean, these were his, you know, he calls upon his first disciples. Simon called Peter. So he was originally Simon. Now he's called Peter. And Andrew, his brother. So it was Peter and Andrew, you know, his first disciples. And they went spreading the good news in Galilee. It's amazing. It's amazing the story. So let's kind of get to Jesus going through doing all of these amazing things, right? He is healing bleeding women. He's healing the blind. He's doing all of these great accounts that his disciples are seeing so that they can pass on these amazing words. Now, Peter declares his faith in 1513. When Jesus came into the coats, I can't even pronounce that. Now, see, that's another thing that catches us up when it comes to Christ and reading the Bible and trying to understand his words. It's like all of these crazy places and things like that. That's not necessarily translated in English. That's still Hebrew. My air just kicked on. I hope we're gonna be fine. I hope you can't hear the motor in the background. That is my air conditioner. Moving on. I can hear it. It's it's totally fine. We're gonna we're gonna power through. Um, but in Matthew 17, 21, for that time forth began Jesus to shoe unto his disciples how that he must go unto Jerusalem and suffer many things of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised again the third day. Then Peter took him and began to rebuke him, saying, Be it fair from thee, Lord, this shall not be unto thee. But he turned and said unto Peter, Get thee behind me, Satan. Thou art an offense unto me, for thou savorest not the things that be of God, but those that be of men. That is so powerful. I've always heard like Satan, get thee behind me. You know, you hear people say that, and like that, Jesus said it, Satan, get thee behind me, and he is, you know, saying, like, you know, I don't want the devil to like get me off of my path. Like, this is my path, like, this is what is to happen. And God knew that he was going to be just brutally, brutally just attacked and and and and be smirched and and made a mockery of. He knew these things were to happen, but he went through his prophecy anyway because he knew it had to be done. And I just think that that is absolutely, it's absolutely beautiful. So they're continuing throughout this journey of Jesus' healing and teaching his disciples and teaching the way of the word of God and doing all of this amazing, amazing, amazing things. And so then, you know, Jesus is he's pretty much put on trial by the elders, the scribes, the the priests, he knew that this was going to happen to him. So in 26 11, Matthew 26 11, and Jesus stood before the governor, and the governor asked him, saying, Art thou the king of the Jews? And Jesus said unto him, Thou sayest. And when he was accused of the chief priests and elders, he answered nothing. Then said Polite unto him, Hearst thou not how many things they witness against thee? And he answered him to never a word. That the governor marveled greatly. Now at that feast the governor was the governor was wont to release unto the people a prisoner whom they would. And they had then a notable prisoner called Barabas. I think that's how you pronounce that. B-A-R-A-B-B-A B-B-A-S Barabas. Therefore, when they were gathered together, Polite said unto them, Whom will ye that I release unto you? Barabas or Jesus, which is called Christ, for he knew that for envy they had delivered him. When he was set down on the judgment seat, his wife sent unto him, saying, Have thou nothing to do with that just man, for I have suffered many things this day in a dream because of him. Matthew 27, 20. But the chief priests and elders persuaded the multitude that they should ask Barabas and destroy Jesus. They decided to destroy Jesus. Matthew 27, 21. The governor answered and said unto them, Whether of the twain will ye that I release unto you? They said, Barabas. What shall I do then with Jesus, which is called Christ? They all say unto him, Let him be crucified. Matthew 27, 23. And the governor said, Why? What evil hath he done? But they cried out the more, saying, Let him be crucified. So you have someone who is quite literally the the pilot, the pilate. I think I don't know how you say that. P-I-L-A-T-E. Look, we just gonna continue to strive on. Um, he was second guessing. He's like, What has this guy done? What has Jesus done? Why are you guys wanting to crucify him? And they're just chanting, let him be crucified. Matthew 27, 24. When Pellite saw that he could prevail nothing, but that rather a tumult was made, he took water and washed his hands before the multitude, which is the multitude of people, saying, I am innocent of the blood of this just person. See ye to it. Then answered all the people and said, His blood be on us and on our children. Now this is where all that Jesus endured is upon us. And this is according to the Gospels of Matthew. So you've got Matthew 27, 26. Then released he Barabas. So Barabas is released. I guess they were picking which person do we want to crucify today? Do we want it to be Barabas? Do we want it to be Jesus? Ooh, ooh, hand up, we pick Jesus. Evil, evil, these people. But God would rise again, and he knew he would. Matthew 27, 26. Then released he Barabas unto them, and when he had scorned Jesus, he delivered him to be crucified. Excuse me. Kind of choked me up. I'm like, oh, Barabas, you the one who got saved, and you wanna Okay. Then the soldiers, Matthew 27, 27, then the soldiers of the government, not government, then the soldiers of the governor took Jesus into the common hall and gathered unto him the whole band of soldiers, and they stripped him and put on him a scarlet robe. And when they had platted a crown of thorns, they put it upon his head and a reed in his right hand, and they bowed the knee before him and mocked him, saying, Hail, King of the Jews, absolutely egregious the people and what they did to him, the soldiers, and they spit upon him and took the reed and smote him on the head. And after that they had mocked him, and they took the robe off from him and put his own and put his own remnant on him and led him away to crucify him. And as they came out, they found a man of Kyrene, Simon by name, him they compelled to bear his cross. Matthew 27, 33. And when they were come unto a place called Golgotha, um, we're gonna skip past that. Well, I look this is this is a Bible study for the podcast. I like I'll have to we'll get into on the back end of like how I do Bible studies and different things like that. But they to that is to say, a place of a skull. They gave him vinegar to drink mingled with gall, and when he had tasted thereof, he would not drink. And they crucified him and parted his garments, casting lots, that is, that it might be fulfilled, which was spoken by the prophet. They parted my garments among them, and upon my vesture did they cast lots. And sitting down they watched him there, and set up over his head his accusation written, This is Jesus, the King of the Jews. Oh, I did not know they put a sign above him. Are you kidding me? That is so yeah, they literally made a mockery of Jesus. Oh, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus. I weep, weep, weep for what you went through. Matthew 27, 38. Then were there two thieves crucified with him, one on the right hand and another on the left. Now I do remember this. And they that passed by revealed him, wagging their heads and saying, Thou that destroys the temple and buildest it in three days, save thyself. Pretty much, yeah, literally telling Jesus, save yourself, save yourself. Why don't you save yourself? Since you're Jesus, save yourself, evil people, just evil, and thou be the son of God, come down from the cross. Likewise, also the chief priests mocking him with the scribes and elders said, He saved others himself, he cannot save. He, if he be the king of Israel, let him now come down from the cross, and we will believe him. He trusted in God, let him deliver him now. If he will have him, for he said, I the Son of God, the thieves also which were crucified with him, cast the same in his teeth. Now from the sixth hour there was darkness over all the land unto the ninth hour. So six, seven, eight, nine, he's up there. And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli Eli Lama Sabachethani. Um that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? So he is screaming to the heavens, screaming to God. Some of them that stood there when they heard that, said, This man calleth for Elias. And straightway one of them ran and took a sponge and filled it with vinegar and put it on a reed and gave it to him to drink. So they heard him speaking and crying out and filled his mouth with even more vinegar. Oh my God. The rest said, Let be, let us see whether Elias will come to save him. Matthew 27, 50. Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost. And behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom, and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent. And the grave were opened, and many bodies of the saints which slept arose, and came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city and appeared unto many. Matthew twenty-seven, fifty-four. Now when the centurion and they that were with him watching Jesus saw the earthquake, and those things that were done, they feared greatly, saying, Truly this was the Son of God, and many women were there beholding a fair off, which followed Jesus from Galilee, ministering unto him. Among which was Mary Magdalene, and Mary, the mother of James and Joseph, and the mother of Zebedee's children. I think that's how you say that. Zebedee's Zebedee, whatever. It's important for later. Matthew 27, 57. When the evening was come, there came a rich man of Arimaithy named Joseph, who also himself was Jesus' disciple. He went to Polite and begged the body of Jesus. Then Polite commanded the body to be delivered. And when Joseph had taken the body, he wrapped it in a clean linen cloth and laid it in his own new tomb, which he had hewn out in the rock, and he rolled a great stone to the door of the spectral and departed. And there was Mary Magdalene and the other Mary sitting over against the spectral. Now, see, this is just amazing. You have these few people that came to Jesus' aid and made him a new tomb and properly laid him to rest. Um, as the spectators, you know, just left him. Now in Matthew 27, 63, saying, Sir, we remember that the deceiver said, While he was yet alive, after three days I will rise again. So they're remembering this. And here we are with the resurrection of Christ. Matthew 28. In the end, in the end of the Sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the spectral. And behold, there was a great earthquake, for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven and came and rolled back the stone from the door and sat upon it. His countenance was like lightning and his remnant white as snow. And for fear of him the keepers did shake and became a dead man and became as dead men. And the angel answered and said unto the woman, Fear not ye, for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified. He is not here, for he is risen. And he said, Come see the place where the Lord lay, and go quickly, and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead, and behold, he goeth be he goeth before you into Galilee. There shall ye see him. Lo, I have told you. So an angel came down and told um Mary and the other Mary, um, look, this is what happened. He is not here, he is over there. Go get his disciples, you shall see. I said, Oh my god, this is absolutely amazing. Okay, so Matthew 28, 8. And they departed quickly from the spectral, which fear and great with fear, with fear and great joy, and did run to bring his disciples' word. And as they went to tell his disciples, behold, Jesus met them, saying, All hail, and they came and held him by the feet and worshipped him. Then said Jesus unto them, Be not afraid, go tell my brethren that they go into Galilee, and there shall they see me. Matthew 28, 11. Now when they were going, behold, some of the some of the watch came into the city and shewed unto the chief priests all the things they were done that were done. And when they were assembled with the elders and had taken counsel, they gave large money unto the unto the soldiers, saying, Say ye, his disciples came by night and stole him away while he while we were s while we while we slept. While we slept. And if this come to the governor's ears, we will pursue, we will persuade him and secure you. Matthew 28, 15. So they took the money and did as they were taught, and this saying is coming is commonly reported among the Jews until this day. So this is commonly reported amongst the Jews till this day. That's very interesting. Jesus, Jesus, okay, Matthew 28, 16. Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee into a mountain where Jesus had appointed them. And when they saw him, they worshipped him, and some but some doubted. And Jesus came and spoke unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. God ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Ghost, teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you, and lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen. Such an a chilling account by Matthew, one of his disciples. I think Matthew is one of his disciples. I know it's Matthew, it's Peter, it's Mark. Yeah. And I just think that it's absolutely a I think it's a beautiful story, nonetheless, right? I mean, it is a story, and it's like you have to decipher or believe. Whether you think it is true or not, and I do believe it to be true. Um, so you have God who art in heaven, who sends his only begotten son right into Mary's womb to be born and to pretty much like teach the world the greatness of God, but it is him, and so this is something that, like, as well as someone who was not a studier of Christ, I guess you could have called me an atheist. There are plenty of atheists out there who, you know, don't believe in God like at all, like don't believe that any of this happened, like what even is this? But even an atheist believes in something, whether it be um science, whether it be medicine, whether it be technology, whether it be YouTube, Instagram, like whatever, like you have a belief in something. And I don't know, for us to sit on this earth and just be like, oh, you know, we were we were born and then like we die, and like you don't know what's gonna happen to you when you die, like it's very, it's very crazy to think about because when you die, you your your body is left, but like there's nothing there, nothing is there. And I mean, you're you're you're a spirit, it's a spirit, your spirit is in there, and so like who created spirits? You know what I mean? Like, okay, so yes, like God came down in the form of a human to be born and to teach us all of these amazing lessons and the ways of life, and all of his disciples, they to my knowledge, they all died, they all went through heinous things in order to stand by Christ, and that's another thing. Like, will you die for your belief in Christ? That's a that's a whole other thing, but pretty much is what they did, and you know, hundreds of years later, they like remembered and had all of this knowledge that like God left with them, and they put them into this book, this holy Bible that we now read upon. And I think it's absolutely beautiful on this Easter Sunday to remember. I think it's very, very great. And I think that that is a small introduction into our It's Okay Comma Podcast Bible studies. I think it's really, really, really great. I posted something not too long ago um about the Girls Gone Bible podcast. I really love their podcasts, I really resonate with them and have so many, so many similarities to the to the women who are hosts of that podcast. And I think that it would be it would be very nice to have along this to also have like this journey and this this study of Christ and his word as well, right? So I just thought it would be a great introduction into it by doing um the book of Matthew, and we did not even get all the way in to the book itself. I really just wanted to touch on, you know, the birth of Christ and then his um his death pretty much, the the birth and death of him. And I I again think it's just such a beautiful story, and I think for our next Bible study, we're gonna take it all the way back to Genesis. Now, I have listened, I won't say re well no, I've read and listened to the um book of Genesis, and I haven't listened to the entire book. I'm only on chapter 37, or I should say, yeah, script uh yeah, chapter 37. I guess you, you know, each book has chapters, if you will, like you know, um what is it? The first book of Peter only has like five chapters, if you will. So I am only on chapter 37 of Genesis, but I'm gonna finish Genesis, and then I think it would be a very nice way to fully dive into the book and into a Bible study. So we're definitely going to next Bible study, be diving into Genesis, and I hope you're along for the ride with me. Like, open up that Bible, let's get into it, let's comment, let's talk about it, let's definitely be on this journey together because the Bible is it's a lot, it's honestly a lot, and look, we've all got our own lives going on, we've got jobs, and we're trying to find better opportunities for ourselves, side hustles, people who have kids, and and so many things, but you have to, if you are a true believer in Christ and really want to know what this guy was talking about, to really study his word and to really be into it, and so I have to remind myself that vehemently. So it's it's it's a work in progress, but as far as my Bible study goes, so now that I have my book with me, right? I do color code. So the color coding that I do is I actually highlight in my actual Bible, I need to get more um, what are they? More sticky notes so that I can like have notes and like put stickies inside the Bible and like have some that are poking out so that I can just like flip straight to it or whatever. But the highlightings in my Bible that I do, I do a pink highlighter and it is a prayer, it's obedience, it's thoughts, it's different things like that. So even if it's like something that I perceive is a thought amongst a disciple or Jesus or something God is saying that I think is a thought, you know, or something like a, you know, just a thought for me, something as well, but definitely a prayer, obedience, a thought. You definitely know it's a prayer when they say amen at the end. Amen, amen, amen. And blue are persons, prophets, or important stories. So that's something that I highlight blue, and then orange is when the Lord speaks and lessons of the Lord. So those are things that's kind of how I go about it now, and that really does, really does help me kind of keep things a little bit more organized, and I have like a whole little um a whole little note or um I should say brochure or whatever on the side that has those highlighting so that I can remember that's what that is, that's why I'm highlighting it that way, and different things like that. So I think it is very helpful when it comes to um Bible studies and then doing your sticky notes and different things like that. Someone else um gave me a very helpful tip as well. So I do have the Holy Bible, and it's the King James Version, right? And you have all of your books in the Bible from Genesis to the um Revelations, but I also have a book that is called The Holy Bible, and it is written by I don't have it in here with me. Um, I can't remember who it's written by. I think it's something Gerald or something like that, but it is the Bible, like in novel form. So it goes from Genesis to Revelations, but instead of it being like all of these different books, you've got Mark, Matthew, Peter, John, um Deuteronomy, Numbers, uh, the book of Job, like all of those things. Instead of it being that, it is literally just from Genesis to Revelations, like in a novel form. Like you would read it like you're reading um just like any old regular book. So they put it in that way. And it also having something like that can really help you. You put them side by side and you like go through Genesis and like you read a different book that is in like novel form to kind of help you even more understand what God is saying, what they meant, and different things like that. The only thing that definitely trips me up when it comes to learning the Bible are the places and the names of these people. I think it's super, super crazy. And then to also know that like you have Jerusalem. Jerusalem is still a place in Israel, like it still holds its name millions of years later. And it's just so amazing to think about. We'll get into the Middle East and all of that another day, but I still think it's very crazy that you have like all of these holy places in the Middle East that have been bombed to smithereens. It's like, uh, will I ever get to see the tomb of Jesus or will it be bombed first? I don't know, but that's a different discussion for a different day. I just yeah, wanted to say happy Easter, and I'm just so, so thankful for Christ and his word and his lessons and all of those great amazing things. Um I again hope that you had an amazing Easter Sunday. I hope that it was filled with Christ, I hope it was filled with your family, I hope it was filled with love. And I really hope that you enjoyed this Sunday and the uh Monday to follow. Um, again, like Easter Monday, which like now that I'm reading, um, now that I've read Matthew, like I see that it said, like, you know, the you know, the sunrise and the week to follow and different things like that. So I'm like, oh, okay, that's why Easter Monday is a thing. But let's close this episode with a prayer, the Lord's prayer, actually. Matthew 6, 9. Our Father, which art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done in earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil, from thine in the kingdom, and the power of the glory forever. Amen.
