Today’s episode is a little reset… a reminder of what It’s Okay, is really all about 🤍🎙️
We talk about the chaos, the headlines, the “did that really just happen?” moments—but we also slow it down and check in. Because behind all of it… there’s real life, real feelings, and real people just trying to get through it.😅
This podcast was created to hold space for both—talking about the world and protecting your peace. To remind you that no matter how heavy things feel… everything is going to be okay. Truly.😮💨
In this episode, I’m checking in with you—like really checking in. How are you doing? 🫶
And I’ll also be giving you a little sneak peek into Friday’s episode… because yeah, we’ve got a lot to talk about 👀
Make sure you tune in and remember It’s Okay, 🤍

🎙️ Apple Podcasts: It’s Okay,
Okay. I wonder if I haven't changed my outfit in like two days. I just can't get it together. Not okay. Welcome into It's Okay, the podcast. It's your girl Amber. Happy Monday, you guys. How is it going? How was your weekend? Mine was pretty chill. I got a lot of podcasting work done. I got a lot of stuff done around the house. Two loads of laundry done. Meal prep done. Coffee done. Everything was everything went very, very smoothly. I can't complain. Except for one. So I have a community washer and dryer. It's uh a part of the apartment complex and amenity that they have. And the washer and dryer room situation, it kind of puts you in the mind of like a laundromat. There's a a slew of washers and dryers throughout the middle of the floor. And then along the walls are the stack stacker dryers, I guess you would call them. Yeah, stacker dryers. I'm washing, I guess today was everyone's day to wash. My idea was like, oh, let's get it done earlier because rather than later. But I guess that was everyone else's idea to do as well. So I was able to wash my clothes, no problem. Drying them, however, every single dryer was occupied. One of the women, whenever I went in to wash, was like, hey, friendly reminder, don't use dryer 19, totally busted, not working. We'll take your money. I'm like, thank you, girl, for that tip. Love a girl's girl. But yeah, go to dry. Everyone's drying their clothes. I'm like, so it was a little bit longer of a process than I wanted, but still nonetheless, can't complain. Anyways, today's episode is actually just a quick chat, also a refresher to remind you guys what this podcast is all about, right? Anytime you have someone asking questions like, what's it about? What are we, what are we, what's going on here? What are we doing? Is it just whatever? Like, you need to give a friendly reminder because if this is your first time ever listening to this podcast, this episode, first of all, hi, welcome in. But I have to be mindful that not everyone is like me and listens to every single podcast episode of someone that they like or someone that they're interested in or things like that. I am a loyalist when it comes to podcast episodes or podcasts that I love, like the PBD podcast. I will never miss an episode of the PBD podcast. I absolutely love their podcast, they are based out of Florida, valuetainment, things like that. I don't know if you've ever heard of them, but shout out to those guys. I love their podcast. I get a lot of amazing ideas and financial advice and news from this podcast. So I absolutely love it, but I never miss an episode. Not everyone is like that. Some people tune in, tune out, whatever the case is, or maybe you're just not feeling my podcast at all, which is fine. Find what's for you, my friends. Find what's for you. But yes, I have to be mindful that not everyone is listening to every single episode of my podcast, and it kind of can seem like it's all over the place whenever you're going through the playlist or going through the podcast lists of what you want to listen to, the episodes, but regardless, here is that refresher for you, right? So I started this podcast three years ago in 2023. Um, I've been wanting to start a podcast. I want to say maybe the year 2022, so the year prior, I really got this idea like, I want to start a podcast, I want to have a podcast, like I feel like I am creative and I love being in this creative, like digital world space, this kind of I'm I mean actor of a space. I've mentioned in previous episodes that I was in a movie once and I used to do theater in high school, thespians, I was a thespian and different things like that. So I've always had that type of wanting to be on camera, wanting to be on stage, not afraid of a public audience at all, still have that in me. So the podcast was kind of an idea of how I could fulfill that dream, that itch, that want, that desire, that goal that I had, right? And so as I'm thinking about, oh, I want to have a podcast, it slowly morphed into all other things, right? I was still struggling with my sobriety during this time. 2022, it was 2022 that I was struggling with my sobriety. November of 2022 was when I became sober completely. Last sip of alcohol. But I was struggling with that, and as I was overcoming it, I still wanted to do podcasting and different things like that. But I was like, you know what? Why don't I dedicate my podcast to people just struggling in life, and they need a reminder that, like, look, no matter what you're going through, no matter what age you are, race, creed, anything like that, it is going to be okay. I am going to be okay, and that's really what happened for the podcast. I'm like, this is amazing. I then was one year sober and finally started recording episodes and different things like that, and so then it became the podcast that it is today. Now, originally the name of the podcast was it's okay, comma, sis, and I wanted to really direct it more towards women. I'm a woman, women are more gonna relate to women, and vice versa. But of course, anyone can listen to the podcast, men, and I also definitely wanted it to be family friendly so that children could listen to the uh podcast as well. If you notice in the podcast, I don't swear, we do talk about very graphic, heinous things at times, but of course, there is a of course there is a warning that is attached with that so that you know, like, hey, this podcast is maybe not so kid friendly because we're talking about heinous things like murder and etc. So I want to as well, regardless of us still speaking about those things, make it kid friendly as well. So I still want it to be for anyone. So then instead of me titling it and naming the podcast it's okay, comma, sis, I just thought, what about it's okay, comma? Like that that makes sense to me. It's okay, like everything's gonna be fine, no matter what it is, it's going to be okay if you want it to be, right? You have some people, and I used to have someone like this in my life. I still we all do, we all do. There is no use to it's current, they're here, they live among us, and we have to do our best to help these people. But people who genuinely like don't think anything's gonna be okay, nothing's gonna be okay, doom and gloom, woe is me. There's never any lights at the end of the tunnel. I must suffer in this situation that I'm in. Nothing's gonna change, like, oh my gosh, oh my gosh, my life is over, slip my wrist, kill me now. Sorry for that harshness. But look, that is where you have some people, and sometimes we can try to do the best that we can. Sometimes those people will just always be those people, no matter what, and God bless them and move on. But I don't know where I was going with that. But look, at the end of the day, this podcast here is to remind you no matter what we are talking about on the podcast, murder, rape, sexual assault, crime out of the wazoo, heinous things, it is going to be okay. Now, when it's not okay is when we're dead and gone. Even then, though, it's like, oh, are you with Christ? Then it's okay. If you didn't go with Christ, uh, that's the only, that's the only way that it's like not okay. But if you are here, you are striving, you are working, you have a roof over your head, closed on your back, foods in your stomach, even if you skipped a meal because you couldn't afford it, you nine times out of ten, eight, five times out of ten, whatever the times out of ten is, have food in your stomach, clothes on your back, roof over your head, you are okay. In another episode, I was like, We've got hands, feet, uh, we've got a whole body. You have some people who only have one hand, only have one arm, only have one foot, only have one leg, no have don't have any legs. They're okay. Heart is beating, blood is pumping through their veins. They have a chance in their life, we have a chance, I have a chance in our lives to make it what you want. And I had to remind myself this too, and my dad as well gave me this advice like, and my aunt Tanya, all of the amazing people in my life, my Aunt Paulette, my mom can't forget my mom. Mom, I love you so much. You are an amazing woman. All of the amazing people in my life who showed up and showed out for me reminded me like you have to make your life what you want it to be, what you want, do not waste it, right? Yes, we can procrastinate, yes, we can get off of our square, yes, we can get caught up in the just unimportant things, but at the end of the day, you can make your life what you want it to be. You can. There is no like, oh, this is this, this is that, like, oh da da da. You can make your life what you want it to be. If you have to research what that is, find the right person who has it and can help you get it, or or study this to do that, like you can make your life what you want it. You want to lose weight, you can do it. You just have to figure out how it's going to work for you. You want a certain job, you can do it. Figure out the steps, the resume, the this, the that to achieve it. You want to make more money? Guess what? You can do it. Figure out Roth RIA's 401k investments, investing in stocks and bonds, crypto, whatever it is, you can do it. You can achieve it. It is possible, it is in your grasp. It's okay. Period. So that is what this podcast is about. It's also to be a positive light. Like, I don't know, like, I need all of the posity. I also have so much positivity and energy. I'm like, what can I do with this crap? Let's figure out a way to utilize it, tap into it, give it to others. And this was one way that I saw that to be the case. Whether this podcast blows up into the millions of views, or if it doesn't, it only helps my friends and family. I am okay with that. Do I want it to blow up and be able to receive revenue for all of the hard work that I am doing? Yes, it is in the Bible as well. Uh, God quite literally says that you know, we should be rewarded for our works. There is no like not being rewarded for your works, whether that is financial, spiritual, emotional, you should be rewarded for your works. And he kind of does speak about a financial aspect as well. But look, that's neither here nor there. That, my friends, is the reason it's okay, the podcast by Amber Hitchcock was created. And I hope you're liking it. And I hope if you have any tips or grievances or ideas or things that should not be discussed or done, let me know. I am all ears, I am all in for improvement for all of that, my friends. And with that, we this podcast, I post on Mondays and Fridays. Sometimes we skip a Monday, sometimes we skip a Friday. That's neither here nor there. We are as consistent as we can be. But on Mondays, we discuss things like mental health, physical health, spiritual health, all things dealing with the health of the mind, soul, body, and spirit. It kind of has that mental health Monday aspect of it. I used to post episodes on Sundays, but I think that on Sundays, it's the weekend, people are trying to be off of the web as much as they can. So we hope and think. So is anyone checking for a podcast on a Sunday? Not like that. So we switched it to Mondays, and then, like I said, the mental health Monday. It it made sense, it made sense, and that's what we are discussing on Mondays, things of that nature. And then on Fridays, instead of being so heavy, well, I'm I mean, on Mondays we are positive, but we discuss some heavy stuff sometimes. We definitely do. But on Fridays, we want to go into the weekend with a little bit of fun, with a little bit of fun. So on Fridays, we discuss things like politics, world events, local events, true crime, gossip, celebrity news, things that are in the headlines. And even with that, it can still be heavy. But at the end of the day, regardless of what we are discussing, at the end, you should take away that it's going to be okay. Okay. Okay. And I truly hope that it's going okay for you. If you're listening to this podcast, definitely email me, comment below, send me a direct message. Let's talk about it. How are things going with you? Like, are you coping well with everything that's going on in the world? Are you coping well with what's going on in your life? Are you overwhelmed? Do you need some helpful tips in order to remain peaceful within your life? I know I need that all the time. It's it's a lot this life that we have. You only get one of them, you don't get any do-overs, you live your life, you have all of these memories. Our memories are in images. To see our memories in images and not in words is very, it's a lot to be just sitting and thinking or sitting and enjoying the day, and then this random, awful thought just pops into your mind and you see it. It's just it's sometimes it can, like I said, be just so overwhelming. But if you yeah, need anyone to talk to, anyone to get a a a sliver of positivity from, I am your girl. I'm here and I'm not going anywhere unless I do unwantingly, but let's not get into that. It's get a little dark, it's get a little dark, let's let's take it back. But like I said, that is what this podcast is about. I and it took me a long time to get this structure the way that I wanted it to be, and it's here, it's here. We're trying to consistently post on different social medias. So if you are just listening to the podcast, make sure that you're also following the it's okay, comma, the podcast TikTok page. Make sure you're following the Instagram account, make sure you're following the X, formerly known as Twitter account, make sure you're following the Facebook page. We we are constantly trying to consistently post on those social media sites. There's always a post that's dropping, right? One that you can read. I'm trying to do more visual content because I know people love the visual content versus just listening. I, however, don't have to look, I love to just listen. I'm a definitely I'm a visual and a um audio learner. But if I'm just sitting there or if someone is just sitting there talking to a screen, like I don't need to see you, I can listen and get all the info that I need, but not everyone is like that. So I'm trying to create that more visual content, but I hope that you are following those social medias, they are linked below this episode, so definitely go follow. Let me know what you think about the Instagram account, the TikTok, the Facebook page, the X, formerly known as Twitter page. I do mainly post on X, formerly known as Twitter, because I absolutely love X. That is my app. I've had that account before I've had ever any social media. I mean, I think Facebook and Twitter were I don't know which one was first. Was it Facebook or was it Twitter? I I think it was Facebook first, but regardless of the fact, I've had my Twitter account since 2010. That's how much I love it. I've never like just straight away. Sometimes you know, you have an app and then it's in the background, you're like, I'm not even using it. You go on a social media hiatus and different things like that. Totally have done that with Twitter with all social medias, but I have consistently been a user of Twitter. Elon Musk bought Twitter, and now it's known as X. That whole situation was very crazy. I am glad that he purchased X when he did because there was all of this censorship, you couldn't say what you wanted to say, they were deleting you left and right, and like the FBI was heavily involved in Twitter and doing all of this crazy stuff. So look, I love a Twitter. So I'm mainly posting on there. So if you want to consistently see visual content or just know what's coming up with the podcast, what's going on in my life, what's going on with the podcast, different things like that. Definitely follow me on X, but also definitely follow on all of the other socials as well. Because this Friday's episode coming up, you guys, we have to get into it. It's a culture episode. We're talking about the headlines. Tiger Woods got a DUI. This is out of Florida. We're really the episode is predominantly all of the news, all of the tea is in Florida. I said, What's going on in Florida? It is crazy right now. Okay, so Tiger Woods got the DUI. I originally thought that he crashed his car and then tried to um say to the police. Like, oh, I'm friends with Donald Trump. Like, let me go. Da da da da. No. This man crashed his car. As soon as he crashed his car, he called Donald Trump immediately. Immediately called him. Police pulled up. Oh, I was just on the phone with Donald Trump. Now, I do not know what that phone call consisted of. What was the back and forth? What was the dialogue? What was Donald Trump saying to Tiger Woods? How did Tiger Woods say he crashed to Donald Trump? What was that about? I still, as of today, this podcast, dropping Monday, do not know if Donald Trump has commented on his friend. He's invited him to the White House. Tiger Woods, he's so amazing. Donald Trump, he's been in, he's been in world championships. This guy is an amazing golfer. Like how Donald Trump says things. But I don't know if he's commented on his friend's DY. Like, I don't know what's up with that. So that is what we are talking about. By the time the episode drops, I may or may not have an update on what that conversation consisted of. We shall see. But also staying in Florida, offset was shot at. Y'all, that right there is it's a lot more to it than what I thought, right? I was just sitting on the couch planning the podcasts, planning, scheduling, different things like that, budgeting finances for my bills, my life, the things that I need to do as well, not just podcasting, right? Life things too. And I see across my phone offset shot uh at casino. I originally thought that it happened in Nevada, the state that I live in, but no, it finally came through that it was in Florida at the Hard Rock Casino hotel there. There's another rapper implicated in the situation. We will get into all of that Friday. You know, I gotta tease you a little bit. You can't know all of it, okay? You gotta come back, you gotta come back and find out what's going on because y'all, it's crazy. Not only did Offset get shot up, you have a man from Haiti who potentially an illegal immigrant or a citizen. We'll find that out this Friday. Come back if you want to know the answer to that. Is he illegal? Is he not illegal? But he is from Haiti. Beats a woman to death at a gas station with a hammer. One of my biggest fears used to be pistol whipping, someone being someone pistol whipping me. If you haven't listened to F-Boy Crimes number four, the robber, definitely go back and listen to that. One of the women who we discussed was pistol whipped. I thought that was a huge fear of my note is being beaten to death now with a hammer. That image will never unleave my mind. That is a terrible, terrible way to die. She was knocked out clearly when he hit her the first time. And then to not even be able to defend yourself with your hands because you're knocked out, and then you're just beaten on the face with a hammer. I'm sorry, you guys. It is graphic and gruesome. I do not recommend watching the video. I saw it on Truth Social. I also have a Truth Social account, Donald Trump's platform. Go follow my truth social, it is linked below. Saw it from Donald Trump. Donald Trump posted this uncensored, unscathed. We got to see every single situation. I said, oh my gosh, I cannot believe this. It was so it was a lot. It was a lot. But that is what we are discussing this Friday. And it might be something else that pop up that we throw in there too, because there's always something to pop up. I'm like, I gotta mention this, like y'all. This Friday's episode is going to be a doozy. But again, with all of this heavy topics, shootings, DUIs, beatings with hammers. We have to remind ourselves, and I have to remind myself that it's okay. That is a lot to discuss and to think it's gonna be okay, but it is, but it is, it's gonna be okay, it's gonna be okay. But that is what I wanted to pop in on this Monday to say to you. Hope you had an amazing Monday. Mondays always can be a hit or a miss. It can be a great start to the week or it can be terrible because we know how Mondays can be sometimes. But I hope it was, I hope it was copesthetic for you. I hope it was chill, there wasn't too much excitement, just the right amount for you. And I hope that you enjoyed the week. I hope it stays that way for you. You ride it out steady. I hope the weekend was just as great as well. And I will see you guys Friday. And again, just remember it's okay. All of us have problems.
