☀️ Happy June 1st! ☀️
Summer is here, the sun is shining, the days are longer, and I couldn’t think of a better day to say…
🎙️ WE’RE BACK! 🎙️
After taking a little time away, a brand-new episode of It’s Okay, is officially live!
In today’s episode, I’m opening up about where I’ve been, why I stepped away, and what’s ahead for the podcast; sorta. Sometimes life calls for a reset, and sometimes the best thing we can do is slow down long enough to hear what it’s trying to teach us.
As we kick off a new month and a new season, I’m feeling grateful, refreshed, and excited for what’s next.
So grab your sunglasses, find a little sunshine, roll the windows down, and come hang out with me for a bit. 🌴☀️
Here’s to fresh starts, summer adventures, and remembering that no matter what’s happening in life…
It’s Okay. 💛

🎙️ Apple Podcasts: It’s Okay,
Okay. Hey, welcome back to It's Okay, the podcast. You guys, you guys, first of all, happy Monday. Happy June 1st. Oh my gosh, we're already in June. We're already in the middle of the year, pretty much halfway through the year. It's just so wild. You just you keep going, you get to the top of the year, then you're in the middle of it, then you're at the end of it, then there's another one, right? Just keeps going, but we love it. Life is lifing. And yes, we are back a month later. And if you're an avid listener of the podcast, look, you already know the drill. Sometimes you just gotta step away. You can't handle both. I'm trying to handle both. If I want to be able to handle both, I have to handle both. It's just uh yeah, you know how it is, right? So, where I've been. Okay, yes, I've been doing some interviewing. You guys know I've been trying to find a second job. Why it's hard to find a second job is kind of a little strange. I'm like, uh, I can't even be a cashier. What are you trying to tell me? Am I that incompetent? No. Do you think so? Obviously not, but what's going on? I don't know. I don't know. So I've done, yes, some interviewing, and I couldn't, you know, handle both. It was like, okay, we're interviewing, we're working. I don't really have time to investigate and research and then record and then edit and like try to do video. It just, you know, some things got in the way. So I've been stepping away doing that. Did some interviewing for Best Buy. Best Buy is very hilarious. I'm like, oh, y'all want us to know electronics like that, like that. I'm like, look, I get it, I get it. Okay, if that's what you require, I totally understand. I feel like I'm very electronically inclined, but they didn't think so. And that's okay, that's okay. And I did some interviewing for Michael Course, not gonna get into why I actually probably didn't get the job. It's fine, it's fine. But just doing some interviewing for things like that, and yeah, couldn't manage both. Also, my manager went on vacation from work, you know how that goes. Everyone forgets how to do their job and all of that, and it can be very tiresome. So I'm like, yeah, it's a whole thing, but on the back end of all that misery and pain, JK, I was able to pay off one of my credit cards, right? I planned up for it, it actually just popped into my mind, like, you know what, why don't I just go ahead instead of just doing the payments a month and then actually ending up uh spending the money again because you're just yeah, you know, recycling your debt. Eh, not really the best financial plan for anyone, really. And we've all heard of Dave Ramsey and the snowball debt effect, and I kind of just was like, you know what, let's just go. So yeah, let's just snowball that debt, large payments of small amounts of debt at once. So, yes, was able to pay off one credit card bill entirely, seeing that zero balance at the it's just such a thrill. I'm like, yes, this is it, and so yeah, I definitely planned and budgeted for that, and there'll be, you know, a little bit of hardship financially in the uh weeks to come, but we're gonna then spring out of that because we have paid off an entire credit card. It's just it's great, it's great. So, yes, I was stepping away from that. That's you know, it takes a lot of extra hours, a lot of um, you know, overtime and just you know, working to truly, you know, be able to do that. And that is what I was able to do. So there's a plus on that back end. Yeah, I was very tired from doing all of that, working so that I could do that, but hey, there is a plus to that. Also, you know, I the goal for the podcast, if you're a listener, yes, I would love to be in the not necessarily therapist space, but definitely the life coaching listener phase of life. I do believe I have great services for that, and one of them is being a financial, not advisor per se, but someone to help maybe like a low income-based type situation, or you know, um, someone with a financial bracket that they would like to achieve based off of what current income that they have. Definitely helping people budget for that. So I will be making a podcast episode and some video examples on how you are able to do that, right? We can definitely find time to budget. I will literally sit down and budget for like a good 30 minutes to an hour to really pack it in and really achieve those goals financially. So if I have some tips and tricks to help you, why not? So be on the lookout for that video. We're about to budget, we're about to plan, and it's about to get better financially, period. So I'm excited for that video and that episode to come out. So yeah, just be on the lookout for that. Also, to listen, the previous episodes that I released, they were very good. I tried to do some videos along with them because we all love a good video content. I love a good video content too, even though I can just listen as well, but you still want that slice with it, right? Now, we've all I've discussed it numerous times, but yes, being just an audio podcast at this phase is doable, it's super easy, but to get people trafficked to that is the part where I fall short. Totally an admission, totally aware of it. It's fine though, however. But yes, I have not escaped the audio podcast and ventured into the video podcast, and that is something that I am ready to do. I am ready to do that physically and mentally, but on an equipment scale, totally not ready to do that. So I record on my iPad as you guys know, and film on my iPad, as you guys know. And there is just not enough storage on this iPad, like at all, right? Now, recording on my iPhone would be much better of a situation, but editing as well on your iPhone. I just I'm like, I don't want to do all of my work from my iPhone, a little screen, like yes, that can be doable. And if you want to have this as a career, as a hobby, like and make it great, then you would just get creative and just do that. But uh look, I ain't trying to do all that, no. So I am yes, on the next step being like getting a new iPad with way more storage and definitely upgrading my phone. However, I love my phone, but the wireless mics that I have they are a C connection, and that only connects to my iPad, doesn't connect to my phone because I have the older iPhone model, and like I said, getting um wireless mics to go in the i pad in the iPhone is totally, I mean, it's totally fine, doable, but it's like then editing, you would be editing on your iPhone, and doing everything for my iPhone still would be an issue because of storage, just like the freaking iPad. I think I probably can record up to like 19 minutes on my iPhone before it just completely cuts and stops, and it's like your storage is full, so it's like you're like, come on, you know, storage is just definitely the hugest issue. Like, if I'm recording episodes on my iPad, now I just have to completely remove them from my iPad and put them on a thumb drive because of storage issues. It's just it, you know, it's a whole thing. It's a whole thing. Trying to be a podcaster uh slash content creator is yeah, one of those things. But we're getting there. We are getting there, and yeah, I am just on the back end of all of the busyness and different things that was going on personally in my life, but we're back, and it's summer, the sun is shining, it's definitely getting super oven-baked hot in Nevada, and I like it, but I don't like it. I mean, it's always sunny kind of here, regardless whether it's cold or not. But um, I do love a cold uh light breeze. When it's not breezy, it's too hot for me. I just don't like it. But and so dry, but when it's windy, I can totally put up with it. The sun like beating me in the face. I'm like, but the wind is blowing and I am walking and I am feeling good. But other than that, yeah, no, I'm not feeling it. But I am back with more, I guess, energy. I feel more refreshed, I feel more um with less baggage because that credit card is on my back. I'm like, we have to find a whole new plan because the plan that I originally had, because I'm I'm trying to financially plan always, was just not getting me to those goals. So it was like, well, we're gonna have to switch it up. And we did, and we accomplished that. So I'm feeling good about that. And what I'm not feeling good about, you guys, if you have any helpful tips or tricks, like let me know in the comment section below. My skin is not skinning, I'm just uh one thing consistently I am doing. Maybe it's not podcasting, but it is breaking out. Consistently breaking out is not my jam. I'm not sure if it's just coming with age or what I feel like I drink a lot of water, right? From the time that I am home into the weekend, all the time at home, I am constantly drinking water, right? I've cut out sodas completely. You guys know. If you know, you know, a good cold bottled Coca-Cola icy on the top is my favorite thing in the world, probably with a burger and fries on the side for sure, for sure, for sure. But I have completely cut out sodas. I don't really drink sodas, honestly. I'll have an energy drink here and there. I've switched over to the blooms. Now I'm finding out that they may not be the healthiest, but that and coffee. And I just I'm like, why does my skin not vibe with those drink selections? I love those drink selections. It's not soda, so I don't know where all the breaking out is coming from. I feel like I have a great skincare routine, but I'm switching up my skincare routine. Like, it's just not skinning. So if you have any helpful tips or tricks, definitely let me know. I will be incorporating vitamin A and E into my supplements. Um, I previously said in a recent podcast, or it wasn't that recent, it was probably last year sometime. And this is when I was feeling this way, was last year, and I've evolved a little bit, but that supplements were just fake and not the real deal and weren't really even adding any true value. But we've just kind of stepped out of that, and it's fine. I'm gonna take the vitamin E and A, and hopefully, possibly, I've gotten some helpful tips that that is something that can definitely help with the skincare game. So we're gonna see. We're gonna see I um start the new row of vitamins this today, Sunday. I'm gonna take my vitamins after I eat my dinner tonight, and hopefully we're gonna see. We're gonna see. We're gonna do a week's worth, and I will report back next Monday on how I think it is helping or not helping. We'll see. And that's only gonna be a week, but we're still gonna report back. And I'm gonna give it a month's time, obviously, but we're really still gonna report back Monday and just see. But in more of a positive light, right? I'm taking you through a roller coaster, right? We're going negative, positive, negative, positive. It's totally fine. Uh, I noticed that. I don't even know if you noticed that. I'm just my brain's just funny today. I also have a potential collab that may be coming up. I'm not sure. You know how you get like those different emails and things like we want to work with you, and oh, this and that. And it definitely can seem like a scam. You're never really just too sure. A lot of people, of course, want payment for their services. I want payment for my services, like obviously, obviously, when it comes to life coaching and oh, you want a budget advisor potentially. I would definitely, I think I would call it that. Like, not a financial advisor, a budget advisor. Um, yeah, definitely want payment for those type of services, but they definitely want that. And no, I'm not in the space to acquire any services financially like that. Obviously, we're talking about me paying off credit cards. So no, that's not in the um in the phase for me right now. But I did get a um a collab that I thought may not be real, thought it was some scammery. Cause yeah, I'm like, dang, it's just scams everywhere. You can get scam freaking interviews. I'm like, what the heck? So yeah, definitely a lot of scammery out there. Thought that's what it was, but I saw like a follow-up email, and I'm like, okay, let's just see. Let's just see. So I looked obviously into it the website, the Instagram, the different people who were on their Instagram who were promoting. So we'll just see, we'll just see. And then AI is definitely a thing out there, guys. You gotta watch out for the AI. So I'm like looking and examining the is this AI? Does it say created with AI? Like, you know, doing all of that. So be on the lookout for a follow-up on exactly what that is and who it is with. Maybe you have heard of them, maybe you have not. Definitely in the health space. Clue key hint there. But yes, that's just where I've been. Life is lifing, doing extra working hours and paying off credit cards and interviewing. Still no second job, though. I'm like, girl, you can't handle a podcast interviewing and your regular job. How are you gonna handle the second job when you actually get it? Uh, I don't know. We're gonna figure it out though. It's all good. It's okay, it's okay, it's okay. But I hope you guys are enjoying this summer. The kids are out. Are they getting on your nerves already? You better have some activities for them planned up, lined up, keep them busy. The kids gotta stay busy or they're gonna stay busy with you on your nerves. We all know that. But yeah, like I'm looking forward to the summer. I'm ready to swim. Me and my dad were talking, like, we would rather be in like a lake or like a pond. Swimming in pools is just like, I'm too old for that at this point. I'm like, uh, if it's a pool, I don't know. It's gotta be, I don't know, no chlorine or something. It's gotta be like a I don't know, like one of those, I don't know, luxurious pools where they're like, we don't do chlorine, we're like saltwater. I don't know. I've definitely swam in like a saltwater pool before. Where was I? I think I was at someone else's like uh house, suburban neighborhood division. It was gated and like the pool at the center was like a saltwater pool. It was definitely salty, that's for sure. But yeah, I think I don't know, I would more do that because the chlorine, I'm like, look. Anyway, we're not gonna get into all that, but yeah, I'm ready to go swimming and like just have this just hot, amazing palm tree summer filled by the lake, by the river summer, and I'm looking forward to it. And I'm looking forward to this podcast. Yes, when we left off, we were talking about some hood stuff. I never did uh Mean Girls Crimes number three. Um, just we're gonna get into that another day about where this podcast is going, the future episodes to come, and what's up with all of that. I feel like I have direction, but the direction is kind of on a side road right now. Trying to get back to the main road. I'm like, I don't know where we're at, but I know where we're at, you know, type of situation. Anyway, we'll see. Just remember, guys, it's okay. Happy summer, happy Monday. I hope you have an amazing week. I will hopefully, potentially, definitely, maybe, will be seeing you guys Friday. And yes, keep it cool, keep it breezy, take it easy. I'm so not trying to rhyme, but I'm loving it at this time. It's okay. It's your girl Amber. Login out. Peace. Oh, there's not a problem.
