Some truths are hard to say out loud: you can’t think your way out of stress when your state is wrecked. We close the series by getting honest about tired-brain traps, why exhaustion shrinks your options, and how to build a steady state that makes better choices possible without turning your life into a performance. If you’ve been “performing fine” while quietly unraveling, this conversation offers relief and a plan.
We unpack how state acts as the filter for what you believe is possible, and why over-explaining, people-pleasing, irritability, and shutdown are not character flaws but load signals. From there, we draw a clean line between performing and role modeling: real role models are human and steady at the same time. We ask a clarifying question to anchor the months ahead: what one thing do you want to be true about you by the end of 2026? With that north star, “enough” becomes tangible—maybe you stop shrinking, tell the truth sooner, protect your dignity, or leave footprints instead of bruises.
You’ll hear practical ways to support steadiness in real life: micro-rest between demands, simple boundaries that stick, smaller steps that still count, and rituals that calm the nervous system so your thinking can widen again. We explore the quiet power of moxie as footprints, not a spotlight—evidence built step by step, not a single dramatic leap. If you’ve felt like courage is missing, we invite you to check fuel first. Often it’s not a lack of bravery; it’s tiredness asking for care.
Join us for a humane, grounded close to the series that gives you permission to be both human and steady. If this helped, subscribe, share it with a friend who’s running on fumes, and leave a review telling us your “one true thing” for 2026. Your steps matter, and progress is progress, no matter the pace.

Final Episode Setup
SPEAKER_00Hi, it's Cheryl here, and you're listening to Amazing Brilliant Gorgeous Wonderful. This is the final episode in the series, and we're talking about the bit no one wants to admit. You can't think your way out of stress when your state is wrecked. Now, if you've been trying to be a role
State Over Stress
SPEAKER_00model while running on fumes, this episode is for you. Today we're talking about the state as the filter of how we stay steady in this crazy world without turning your life into some kind of performance. And let's be honest, some days, I get it, you don't need more insight, you need less pressure. Because when you're exhausted, I don't know about you, but everything seems worse. Your thinking gets sharp, your patience gets thin, your confidence gets it's like it's been repossessed, and you start making decisions from a survival mode, not from choice. Here's a question
Tired Patterns Women Fall Into
SPEAKER_00for you: what state are you in when you decide to shrink? Are you calm and grounded or are you depleted and bracing yourself for the next thing to happen? Because state is the filter, it changes what you believe is possible, which is why I love this work. I love getting people into really good states. What happens to your thinking when you're exhausted? I don't know about you, but most women, when tired, go into one of these things. They over-explain themselves. I do that sometimes. People pleasing, self-doubt, irritability, shutting down, and a kind of I can't be bothered numbness. None of this means you're failing. It means your system is underload. Overloaded, even. And here's a cynical truth for you. Sorry to say it. But workplaces in this modern world really care about your state, they only care about your output. Some women start performing fine while quietly unraveling. But role modeling
Role Modeling Versus Performing
SPEAKER_00isn't performing fine. Role modeling is showing that you can be human and still be steady. What version of you shows up when you're steady? Because there's a version of you that knows what's true, that isn't auditioning, that isn't apologizing for existing, and that version might not be loud, but she's clear. So let me ask you what one thing you want to be true about you by the end of this year 2026? Not about the workplace, about you. Did you do you want to be the woman who disappeared to survive?
Choosing Footprints Over Spotlight
SPEAKER_00Or the woman who stayed true to herself, even if she had to do it with smaller steps. And yes, I know you can I can hear the objections in your head. Because it's the one most women don't say out loud. I can't keep doing this. Fair enough. Some situations genuinely are too much, some environments are truly corrosive, some seasons demand change, but even then the question becomes: what would enough look like in real life? I mean, for you, enough might mean I stopped shrinking, or enough might mean I told the truth, enough might mean I protected my dignity, or I left footprints instead of bruises, because that's the theme of this whole series. Your Moxie, ladies. Moxie isn't a spotlight, it's footprints. Footprints are made step by step, not in one dramatic leap. So remember, your state shapes your choices. If you've been shrinking, it may not be because you lack courage. No, not at all. Maybe it's because you're exhausted, and that's important that you understand and accept that. You're allowed to be human even in this crazy modern world. You're allowed to be steady. In fact, you're allowed to be both. Remember to subscribe, share, and repeat because every step you take, no matter how small, step towards a brighter,
Permission To Be Human
SPEAKER_00more balanced future, trust in your journey and remember, progress is progress no matter the pace. Bye for now.
