If the scale is still your main source of feedback during weight loss, you’re missing information that will help you stick with it.

In this episode of The Scales of Wellness, I build on Episode 101 and answer the next big question that you should be asking (even though in reality, there is no such thing as a "should!"):
How do I know I’m healing my relationship with food while I’m trying to lose weight?

We talk about three internal data points that give you far more honest—and helpful—feedback than the number on the scale ever can, including:

  • whether you’re intentionally including foods and drinks that nourish your spirit
  • how your relationship with the scale itself is changing
  • and whether food is starting to feel calmer and less consuming in your mind

You can follow a plan perfectly and still be at war with food. And weight loss that requires constant vigilance, fear, or forcing yourself to stay in control will eventually break.

This episode will help you see progress that often shows up long before the scale reflects it—and teach you how to track what actually makes weight loss sustainable.

I also share how these metrics work together to build self-trust, shorten recovery time, and help you stop starting over without realizing you have.

If this episode feels like it’s describing your inner experience around food and weight, I currently have one private coaching spot available. You don’t need more discipline for 2026—you need better metrics and support while you learn to trust them.
