Coach Berlanga has been coaching both young people and adults for nearly two decades . He has been awarded the KSBW Action News 8 "Golden Whistle Coach Award" for his leadership and influence in his community, awarded by the U.S. Marine Corps and Glazier Clinics with the “Semper Fi Coach Award” of Northern California, named Head Coach of the Year, received the “Who’s Who Alumni Award” from his alma mater university, recognized as the “Leader of the Year” for the City of Gonzales (California), and was TEDx Santa Catalina School speaker on "The Winner's Mindset."
