We are not created to do this healing journey or life alone. In fact, it was Bessle Van Der Kolk who expertly shared “healing happens in the presence of an empathic witness”. That is the heart of this podcast & my business : to witness. You can expect a plethora of conversations on nervous system regulation, breathwork, human design & astrology, cycle alignment, energy & spirituality work and so much more. We are all on a journey back home to ourselves, rediscovering our innate power within & I am thrilled to take this journey to well with you. be well xx

hello, my friend, and welcome back to the podcast. So this is our last podcast of 2024 and I sat down, hit record and just looked at the time and the the time is 111. I absolutely love that so much. I can't get over that. So today we're really going to wrap things up.
Speaker 1:I want to talk about this podcast title New Year, same Me. It's actually been a concept that I have held the past two years. You could go back into the archives of my YouTube channel and find a video, I think a couple years ago, titled Same Thing New Year, same Me. And this is the conversation that I love having around our traditional calendar, new Year. Even though I personally welcome in the New Year, that I feel fits more of the seasons when we welcome in the New Year towards the spring and Aries season, towards the spring and Aries season. But for the purpose of the traditional new year and having this conversation, I'm going to post this podcast for the end of December, to ring in 2025.
Speaker 1:So new year, same me. What is this concept? It was something that I thought of. We always think, obviously, new Year knew me and we think of all of the things that we need to change about ourselves.
Speaker 1:Traditionally, the New Year is a time to set New Year's intentions and set goals, and it's kind of this reset time of letting go of where I've been in the past and what worked in the last year. What didn't work and how do I want to change. What do I want to change in the new year? And this concept of biting off more than you can chew. Honestly, one of the biggest issues that I have with New Year's resolutions and I'm sure that you can relate to this is setting them, maybe sticking to them for a week, a month, maybe two months, and then falling off right, like going to the gym, eating healthy, creating this really structured routine in your day to get more done, showing up differently in your parenting or your business or your relationships, and there's so much at this point. Hopefully you have heard somewhere along the line all of the research on how to set a goal and create and form a habit, and there's so much science behind why this doesn't work Setting multiple goals at a time, having all of these New Year's resolutions we typically don't just set one, we set a bunch and we try to literally turn our entire lives 180 degrees and then, when we're not able to quote, stay consistent or keep up with it.
Speaker 1:We shame and judge and guilt ourselves and send so much hatred towards ourselves, asking or thinking something's wrong with us or thinking that we're just not able to stay consistent, that we're not motivated enough, and there really is this whole downward spiral. So many examples like losing weight A lot of times in the new year right, that's one of our goals and losing you know, maybe we lose the 10 pounds, but then within the subsequent months we end up gaining back 20 pounds because we're not really focusing on sustainable growth. And so here's the concept that I really want to chat about with New Year's Same Me is opening ourselves up to the question of who am I really? Maybe it's not changing all of these things about myself. Maybe it's letting go of all these layers of myself that aren't even really me, that aren't authentic, that don't feel aligned. Maybe it's letting go of these barriers and these boundaries and this armor that we've put on to protect ourselves from parts of ourselves, to protect these parts of ourselves that at one point in our lives maybe someone shamed and guilted us for or judged us for being too funny, being too loud, being too quirky, being too weird, being too tall, being too short? I don't know. It's the shadow parts of us, right? The parts of us that we hide in in the shadows because we feel that they're not worthy enough, that we won't be accepted if we show this part of ourselves. That makes us not enough. So that's my invitation this New Year's is to look at the question of who am I? Who am I?
Speaker 1:One of the reasons that I use human design as a tool and I talk so much about human design is because it's this blueprint, it's this cheat sheet of our unique design, and it's not telling us these things to put us in a box. It's not telling us these things to label us. It's honestly. It's this invitation to be truly seen, to be authentically seen, to be witnessed, to be acknowledged.
Speaker 1:If you are someone that's setting New Year's intentions, new Year's goals, I'm not saying don't do that. I think that it's really great to set goals and set intentions, but the thing that we never, or we seldom, ask ourselves is why, why am I setting this intention? What is the reasoning behind this goal of working out more, or this goal of increasing my sales by 10% each month, of eating healthier? Whatever your goal is, why, why, what is the reason behind that? And one of the things that we can do when we look at human design from a business perspective. We look at human design from a business perspective. Look at our unique design in business or in a life perspective or a relationship perspective. You know me, I focus mostly on the business, but our life is a reflection of our business and our business is a reflection of our life and relationships. But what we can do is look at these pieces of ourselves that are going to maybe point us in the right direction, of answering that question why? Or answering the question of how we can tweak our goal a little bit, a little bit, to better support ourselves, better support our alignment, because when we are aligned, we are sustainable.
Speaker 1:One of the reasons that we can't stick with our New Year's resolutions is because, honestly, they're out of alignment with our unique design, how we were created. I'm sorry to be the one to share this with you if you haven't already figured it out, but you are not created to work out at the gym doing really heavy workouts or HIIT training every single day, 30 days out of the month, seven days out of the week, 24-7. You're not. That's where we pull in cycle alignment. Our energy as women and this is speaking to women our energy is cyclical. We don't have the same capacity every single day and that is our fucking superpower. You might think that it's a drawback, but it's actually your superpower. That's what makes women so powerful. But you're not created to work out at the gym seven days a week. You're not created to perform the exact same way in your business every single day. You have different powers in each of the four phases of your cycle. You have different powers depending on your energy type in human design, depending on what defined centers you have in your human design body graph chart, depending on where your environment is.
Speaker 1:Putting yourselves in different environments evokes different energy, can allow for more creative energy to flow, can allow for more driven and motivated energy to flow. So, instead of looking at this new year, I don't. I like structure, I like details, I like having consistency in my life and, because I'm a pretty, I also have a defined ego center. I have a defined G center. So finding motivation for me is not super difficult, especially when I'm doing things that are aligned.
Speaker 1:But when I was setting these New Year's goals and intentions a few years ago probably about four or five years ago now, I would be so overwhelmed and so frustrated with myself when I couldn't stick with them and there's that word frustrated as a manifesting generator. That's our, not self theme is frustration. I would get so frustrated with myself and I would shame myself and judge myself for not being able to stick with these and judge myself for not being able to stick with these. What I didn't realize at the time were unrealistic and super misaligned goals. So the problem is not that we're setting goals and unmotivated to stick with them or unable to stick with them. The problem is that we are setting misaligned goals. And how do we set aligned goals? Very simply, very, very simply. If you don't want to even start with human design cycle alignment, you can just ask yourself the question why, why is this my goal? Also, where did this goal come from is a great starting point. If you can't really answer the question why? Or you feel like you're not really getting anywhere.
Speaker 1:Oftentimes we have goals that are cultivated from others. Maybe we have this goal to call in a certain amount of clients each month because one of our business mentors or someone that we really look up to says that's what they call in each month. Maybe that works for them, maybe that's how their energy flows, maybe it's not how your energy flows. Right, I mean, maybe they are charging I don't know a grand per new client, and so they need to call in five new clients a month to make their goal of 5000. Well, maybe you charge 2500 per client, so? But you need to figure that out yourself. Where are you getting your goals from? Where are you getting the idea of your goal from?
Speaker 1:We set these goals blindly because someone, somewhere, told us this is what you set to be successful. There's another question for you what does success mean to me? Not, what does success mean to me? Not only that, what does it look like to me? And, more importantly, especially for my non-specific manifestors, what does success feel like to me? What does success feel like in my body? Also, my projectors.
Speaker 1:Success is your self theme as a projector. What does that feel like in my body? Actually, I'm sorry, success is the. Now I'm misspeaking, now I'm getting too excited. Success is the theme for um, wait, what are we even doing? Yeah, success is a theme for projector. Sometimes I second guess myself when I start overthinking things. What does success feel like to me. What does it look like? We can, we can dive into if you want to, if you want a place to jump off of in human design. We can dive into our self themes. I call them how we know that we're living in alignment or how we know that our goal is in alignment. Our New Year's resolution is in alignment.
Speaker 1:You can look at your self theme, which would be satisfaction for generators, manifesting generators, success, peace for manifestors. What does peace feel like in my body? What does peace look like? What is being at peace? What is my business? Being at peace, feel and look like as a manifester. What does satisfaction feel like in my body? What does it feel like to come to the end of the day, climb into bed and feel satisfied, feel satisfied in my business, feel satisfied in my relationship, in my life. What sensations come up in my body when I feel satisfied? What sensations come up? Sensations come up, what emotions come up when I feel satisfied, or at peace, or successful.
Speaker 1:What if there's not one thing to change about you, to morph yourself into this new version of yourself? Are there up levels? Absolutely. Are there alignments? Absolutely. But there's not a new you. It's removing all of the pieces of you that were hiding the real you, that were hiding the aligned you. It's removing these pieces of armor that have been shadowing these parts of you.
Speaker 1:So that's your invitation for this new year, for 2025, when we're stepping into Aquarius Pluto's in Aquarius right, we're really stepping into this Aquarian season for the next however many years. What is it? 20 years or so, 18 years? I think we're stepping into a new era of alignment, of authenticity, of really rediscovering ourselves, rediscovering what makes us special, what makes us unique and welcoming, and celebrating those gifts that we have, celebrating our differences, celebrating our vulnerabilities. Let's step into our authenticity. Let's step into our original version of ourselves, the one without all of the masks, all of the armor, all of the distractions, all of the pressure, all of the armor, all of the distractions, all of the pressure, all of the people pleasing it's time to let all that shit go. It's time to let it go.
Speaker 1:So, if you are listening to this and you are ready to do the new year differently, if you're listening to this in real time, when it's posted, I am hosting a masterclass. It's called New Year Same Me, whoa shocker there, with the title Very original. I know I'm hosting a masterclass we're going to be doing somatic breathwork. One thing that I talk a lot about on this podcast is somatic breathwork. It's a beautiful opportunity to clear out that armor. It's a really beautiful invitation to slow down, to quiet the brain, quiet the mind, quiet the body, so then we can even witness what is asking to be released. Sometimes we're moving so quickly we don't even know where our misalignment is coming from. Breathwork is a way to recenter, to remember, to reclaim who we truly are.
Speaker 1:And we're going to be talking about human design. We're going to be diving into parts of your human design chart that you can start with looking at to set your New Year's resolutions, to align your business, to really set a really strong foundation for 2025. And we're going to be talking about cycle alignment as well. We're going to be diving into our superpowers. This is going to be a jam fucking packed masterclass. It's going to be wild. It's going to have so much information.
Speaker 1:It's also going to be recorded because it's going to be a lot. It's going to be a lot of information very easily digestible. A lot. It's going to be a lot of information very easily digestible. The whole takeaway. The one and only takeaway, is alignment. That's really, what's most important here is how we can align in our authenticity. It's going to be recorded so you can come back to it and listen to it whenever you need to realign, whenever you're feeling stuck or lost or feeling like you need a little bit of a reminder.
Speaker 1:The breathwork is going to be recorded and this masterclass is completely free. This is my Christmas gift and my New Year's gift to you.
