Journey to Well
From Endings To Beginnings: Numerology 9 year to 1 year | Somatics | Human Design | Solo Pod
Endings can feel like unraveling, but what if they’re the groundwork for your next beginning? We dive into the close of a nine-year numerology cycle and the quiet power of clearing—emotional, physical, and digital—to make room for a cleaner, truer start. No grand gestures required here. Instead, we pair somatic practices with practical rituals so your body leads and your mind follows.
First, we map the parallels between nine-year energy and Scorpio season: composting the old, reclaiming your breath, and letting go without forcing. You’ll learn a simple body scan, a lower-rib breathing technique to increase space and safety in your system, and a set of tiny, high-impact declutters—from camera roll to junk drawer—that reduce noise and return energy. We replace resolutions with a single intention for January, chosen by how it feels in your body: lighter, warmer, more alive.
Then we bring in human design for actionable alignment. Manifestors practice clean initiation. Generators and Manifesting Generators sharpen their sacral yes/no and prune the drains. Projectors position their wisdom to be recognized and wait for the right invitations. Reflectors curate environments and timelines that reflect their best self back. Through it all, we hold the panther archetype—annihilation of the unnecessary—as a reminder that uncomfortable shifts can be sacred and deeply clarifying.
Walk away with a clear plan to end the year softly: one intention, a few somatic anchors, and a new respect for small, honest releases. If this landed, subscribe, share it with someone who’s ready to reset, and leave a review with your one intention for January—what will you clear to let it in?

Hello and welcome back to Journey to Well the podcast. I love these days because today is a solo podcast episode, so it's just you and me having a conversation. Uh today we're gonna be talking about numerology, which is something that I haven't talked much about on the podcast. I definitely talk about it on my Instagram channel. But numerology, if you haven't heard of it, I don't even think that I have a good way to describe what numerology is, but it's just another one of those tools that we can use to get a little bit of insight on the energy of the year that we are moving through. And I'm doing a collective numerology, not really reading, I'm not a numerologist. I'm doing a collective numerology conversation today of moving from the nine year in numerology, and we're gonna talk about what that represents, moving into in 2026, moving into the one year, because numerology only goes to the number nine and then restarts at the number one. So there's a lot of cool numerology and astrology conversation to be had. I'm also, of course, you know me and my business if you've listened to the podcast before. So uh I'm going to include some somatic work, some somatic exercises that you can use and incorporate in this release of coming to the end of the nine cycle and moving into and settling into the one cycle. And then I'm also gonna give a few examples of how this ties into our human design energy type, whether you're a projector, reflector, manifesting generator, generator, or manifestor. So it's gonna be a beautiful conversation. This is one that I've been waiting to have and craving to have for quite a few weeks. And life is busy, y'all. Life is lifeing, it's all good stuff, but it's definitely been quite busy, and that might be coming up in your life too, with this closing of a chapter. So before we even get into the numerology, starting with reviewing the nine year, because we still have one month left in a nine year, and and we have this is the perfect time to have this conversation, obviously, uh, because we can set intentions, closing intentions to then create room for the new intentions for the one year. But I would also like to bring in astrology a little bit here as well. We just had our Scorpio season, our Scorpio new moon, and Scorpio is all about release as well. Scorpio is really uh Scorpio is a water sign. It's it's I like to describe Scorpio as the deepest of the water signs because Scorpio is really about crawling down into those depths and representative of that death and rebirth cycle. And what I really like to touch on when we're talking about Scorpio as well as the nine year, and you're gonna hear a lot of similarities and parallels here, but with Scorpio season focusing on that death and rebirth cycle, we have to let go and create space to call in the new. Why not stay with the known? But as soon as we release and let go of our grip in that fist, as soon as we open up, that's when we're creating space for that new beginning, for that new thing. Because if you're feeling, and I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that you are feeling this sense of ending or completion or clearing, and this doesn't have to be a huge thing. I think we jump to these big momentous life phases. Maybe it's like, oh, I have to quit my job, or I have to leave my relationship, or I have to move, or I have to clear, you know, do like a an entire house cleaning and just purge and get rid of everything so I can get rid of everything, and then the new will come. And sometimes, more often than not, sometimes it is a big thing. Maybe it is you feeling like you are ready to leave a relationship that's just no longer working, or leave a job that is no longer bringing you energy and bringing you life. But more often than not, it's going to be a small thing. It might even be something intangible. So this might be shifting your mindset, releasing old thought patterns, coming, bringing to your attention these habits that you have been carrying through your life for maybe the past nine years. Or I think we're also in some completion of a seven-year cycle in astrology. So maybe it's that completion of something that's been building and is now ready to be released in the past seven years. Whatever it is, it's going to be more felt than probably. It's going to be more felt in your body on a somatic level than intellectual in your mind. So the nine year in numerology represents this year like the Scorpion, like Scorpio season, a year of endings. It's it's a time to integrate, it's a time to clear, it's a time to release. And the one year in numerology, what we're what we're preparing for, the one year represents a new beginning, initiation, creativity, fresh identity. So if you've been feeling in the past year or few months, depending on how in tune and how how your life is is unfolding, if you've been feeling this unraveling, this loss, a sense of this transition, but maybe a confusion around what is this transition bringing, or what is this transition in general, please know that you're not failing. This is a this is a time of completion. So it's not something that you are doing wrong. This is not wasted time, this nine-year. We're just getting ready to complete a cycle. Just like when we talk about cycle work in regards to our menstrual cycle, not one phase is better than the other. We just are completing a cycle every month. We as women complete a cycle. We go through the menstrual phase, the follicular phase, the ovulation phase, the luteal phase, and then that cycle's complete and we start all over with our menstrual phase again. So the nine year truly is about this is really like a composting year. So old leaves fall, right? We just went through fall. This is also a really good time to talk about it because we physically went through the fall season. So old leaves fall to create next season soil, right? So the nine year is all about completion, emotional clearing, karma release, shedding old identities, integrating lessons from the past eight years or nine years, this that last cycle. And where we might be feeling this confusion or this unrest or this discomfort is in our bodies. So that's your invitation here, right now, while you're listening, whether you're driving, doing the dishes, walking, taking a walk, maybe you're just sitting on the couch listening to this podcast, tapping into your body, maybe doing a little body scan. If you've worked with me before, you've done any breath work with me before, you know what I'm talking about. If you haven't, a body scan is just starting at the top of your head and moving slowly down and noticing what you notice, almost like honey is oozing down your body, that slowly travel down your body and notice what you notice. Maybe you feel a tight jaw. Maybe you feel this tension in your shoulders. And maybe even as you're doing this body scan, you might feel in your next breath that shoulder release a little bit, dropping just a half a centimeter lower away from your ears. Notice what is showing up in your stomach, in your legs, noticing if you can feel your feet. I highly encourage you the month of December, as often as you can think of it when you wake up in the morning, do a little body scan. And you might find how our bodies are naturally trying to release. Our bodies naturally try to release in the tight jaw. Your jaw is bringing that tightness to your attention through tightening it to create a little bit of release. When we do those really deep sighs, right? That's our body trying to release. So notice where you're holding. Where is your body trying to let go? This is a really good practice to help integrate this nine year. You might even notice if if we've worked together or you know your human design, especially if you are a sacral or spleenic authority, you might notice where your body is saying no. Where is your body saying not anymore? What am I ready to finally let go of? What have I outgrown? Where have I been spending my energy that's no longer returning nourishment, no longer returning my physical generator or manifesting generator battery? Where is it no longer recharging? That's what we get to look at in the nine year. And in December, what we really get to hyperfocus on is that final cleansing breath. This is the last month of the nine year. So instead of pushing towards goals, if you've followed me for a while, you know that I will die on the hill, that January is not the time to celebrate New Year's resolutions. Uh, astrologically, it's not even the end of the astrological calendar. The astrological New Year actually starts with Aries season, which is like beginning of April. Well, late March, beginning of April. Um, so December, like starting new things in the middle of winter season, in the middle of winter energy is so counterintuitive intuitive. But December, especially in this closing chapter, how much can I rest? How much emotional softness can I cultivate within my own body, towards myself, within my home, whether you're living with kids or a partner or just pets, how much emotional softness and spaciousness can I create in my life? And some a somatic practice that we can explore here is placing both of your hands on your lower ribs. So the lower ribs we can tend to feel expand and contract a little bit more easily because they're that's where our diaphragm sits anatomically. So our diaphragm sits right right on the inside of the lower part of our ribs. And when we breathe, our diaphragm expands down and out with every inhalation. And when the diaphragm expands outwards, it's going to push the ribs outwards, which is why our bellies expand out like a balloon. And then when we breathe uh when we exhale, our diaphragm pulls back and up. So it pulls in and up. So placing your hands on your lower ribs, breathing, feeling your ribs, feeling that diaphragm expand and contract, and feeling what if what it feels like to breathe into the back of your body. Oftentimes we're so hyperfixated on the expansion of the belly, but what would it feel like to breathe into the back of the belly? The back of the body, the lower back, the the tailbone, even. Even if you practice that right now, taking a couple breaths. Maybe even feeling the spaciousness that's created in your breath. And this is really the heart of somatic work. We feel it in our body first. We show our body somatically on a felt sense because our bodies don't talk in English. We can't, we can't tell our body, feel more spacious. Our body needs to feel what spaciousness feels like. It needs to experience it. So that's really the heart of somatic work is creating this felt sense of whatever we're after, whether that's spaciousness or another word. So that's a somatic idea. Other ideas that we can focus on in December would be uh maybe taking a little social media break, maybe clearing out our phone. How can I how can I declutter? Let's start with our phone. Let's start with like digital decluttering. So deleting old apps that you no longer use, maybe going through your camera feed and deleting old pictures that don't serve you anymore. How can I create more spaciousness in my phone, in my tablet, in my laptop? And then how can I create a little bit more spaciousness in my home again, in the space, in your sacred space? Maybe it's clearing out the closets, the drawers, the the junk drawer. Maybe it's maybe it's creating more spaciousness and emotional softness by road right by writing closure letters to somebody that you would like to set free. Not for them, but for you. Maybe it's writing that letter of forgiveness that you never received that you wish that you could receive, and not to send it to them. I think in the last podcast with Rhonda, we talked about this. This is a really, really powerful practice to write those letters and not send them. It's not for them, it's for you. So this month is truly about clearing. It's not about striving. How can I clear what needs to be released without this active? It's the invitation is without like an active release. Like I don't have to force, I don't have to force myself to let go, but how much space can I create for myself to let go? And how does how does this release feel? How can this release feel most safe to me? Most supportive? That's a good journaling question. So let's transition now into one year, one year energy. So the one year is all about new beginnings. It's about your identity, vision, self-expression, courage, initiation. It's truly planting seeds for the next nine-year cycle. So this is this would um equate to like our new moon phase or our menstrual bleed in in cycle lingo. Um, if you've listened to my podcast, again, you know what I'm talking about. If this is something interesting to you, definitely go back and listen to the podcast about cycle syncing or cycle alignment because you're gonna find a lot of cool tie-ins if you listen specifically to the new moon energy. But the one year is all about planting seeds instead of resolutions. How can I, how can I focus on more alignment? So, not what should I create or or how can I create it and the to-do list, but what am I meant to generate from my authentic essence? How can I step more into myself? Because as we align more easily with our energy, and I would argue, and this is my human design coming out, but I have a one-line in human design, in my human design profile, and the one line is the investigator and like the the learner. So um I would argue that the the way, one of the ways that we can align more with our energy is by learning more about our unique energy. And that's gonna come from in my toolbox kit, that's gonna come from learning your human design. It's gonna come from exploring more somatic practices, whether that's breath work or other somatic reflection, to clear out all of the noise and really get into your body, your inner voice, your inner wisdom, which that comes out with both human design and breath work and cycle alignment, of course. So notice so some somatic exercises that we can explore here, which you might want to take note of for January, or you can come back and listen to this podcast again in January. But notice where the body feels expansion. When you're imagining a new direction, when you have cleared out, the body feels, and I've experienced this, but we feel this rise in energy. And if you're a sacral authority or a spleenic authority, you might feel it in your sacral center or your or your spleen or your gut or your instinct. Um, but also emotional authorities are also going to feel this rise of emotion, this energy when of excitement, maybe, or I don't know what word maybe will resonate with you, but of energy, of excitement, of this expansion, of this lightness. It should never feel heavy, or it's okay if it feels scary. That's okay. Because new is always scary. It's always gonna be scary. We can be excited and scared at the same time. We can be anticipating something good and feel a little anxious at the same time. So notice where the body feels expansion. Notice where where you feel this creativity maybe in your spleen, uh in your um sacral or your solar plexus chakras, maybe you feel this creativity bubbling up. So ways that we can ways that we can prepare ourselves for this one year, these are simple mindset shifts, right? Shifting from releasing to initiating. We're gonna shift from endings to emerge emergence, we're gonna shift from healing to creation. I don't know about you, but this nine year has rocked me. It's been a lot of slowly shedding. We can also get into um the the year of the snake moving into the year of the horse, right? Chinese, uh, Chinese astrology. Um shedding, how it how a snake sheds its skin. There's been a lot of skin shedding lately. But now we're moving into this creation, this rebirth. If you were rebirthing your identity, who would you choose to become? What does the happiest, most at peace version of you look like? What version of you is asking to take the wheel? So in in human design terms, my we've kind of talked about manifesting generators and generators a lot, but um, but my manifestors, I want you to focus this one year or focus your intentions in this one year on initiating cleanly and boldly my generators and mg. My MG is following your gut, continuing to develop that sacral, full-body yes and no, feeling into that projectors guide and get recognized for your wisdom. How can you create more alignment in guiding and getting recognized for your wisdom? Not by striving, but by waiting for the invitation. And my reflectors, how can you let the environment shape your new? Whatever new is for you, and again, this doesn't have to be a huge thing. Often it's going to be this very slow, subtle process. How can I work with my design, with my unique energy rather than against it in 2026? How can I stop forcing and how can I allow more release? So to review some steps for December to prepare us for gen uh to prepare us for January is really allowing, allowing that closure, allowing that release to create space literally and energetically. So maybe that is clearing out your inbox, maybe that is clearing out your closet, maybe that is creating space relationally, preparing your heart for this new journey. So maybe it is writing that letter of disappointment, of forgiveness, of whatever it is, letting go. Choose one intention. We've talked about this a lot on the podcast. I talk about it every January, and I'll probably make another podcast about it. But how can we set one goal, one intention to carry into January? This is not the time to set all of our New Year's resolutions. And I would also invite my wording, it is very intentional here of intention, not goal. How can I choose one intention? What is the energy that I want to step into January with? And that energy is going to be unearthed. It's going to come to you. It's not you choosing it, it's it choosing you. That's going to be unearthed by creating more space and creating more opportunity to release, to clear out. And that's when we're brushing away the dirty old dust. That's when we're going to see the beautiful, polished gem beneath. Maybe playing around with affirmations that you're going to step into January with. So moving from this nine-year December into the one-year January. And I pulled the Panther. And as soon as I pulled it, y'all, this is wild. I dream a lot. I dream quite often. And I haven't focused a ton on trying to remember my dreams because I feel like it's a little overwhelming right now, but I don't typically remember a lot of the pieces of my dreams. But of course, when we have a trigger, and then we'll then we'll remember. So I pulled this card and I had a dream of a panther last night, which gave me the chills. It's giving me the chills again. But I want to read this animal spirit energy to you, and hopefully it will resonate. So this is the Panther Annihilation of the Unnecessary and Purging. I just read that and that already gave me chills. The Panther won't stand to see our growth or energy stagnant. Instead, it pounces into our lives and causes all kinds of havoc with the ultimate intention of bringing us towards more fulfilling lives. It's unexpected, uncomfortable, and sometimes feels devastating. But after the dust clears, it's easy to see the Panther's wisdom at work. We've all been through these experiences and they've made us better people. Trust that the Panther's journey always leads to a brighter place. When this energy is in balance, we might feel brave and productive. When this energy is out of balance, it might feel self destructive. And to bring into balance, get this get rid of the unnecessary. So what a poignant card. I love Oracle decks. They are always so, so on top. On point. Um, but that feels very, that feels like the message that wants to come through right now. And I mentioned this, I touched over this in the beginning. If you've been feeling unraveled, trust that things are not falling apart, they're falling into place. And that doesn't mean that it's not going to be uncomfortable. The most dark, difficult, heavy times of my life, I've had to remind myself of this. And if you're going through this unraveling, please know that there's a light at the end of the tunnel, that this is growing you, this is developing you. This is the universe, the panther energy, however you want to call it, your higher self, God, whatever you want to call it. This is a preparation, an initiation, an annihilation of all things that need to fall apart. You are worthy of beginning again. You are allowed to choose a life that feels aligned, embodied, and truly yours. I'm sending you so much love. I'm so excited for this next year. If you'd like some support in human design, exploring your authentic energy. If you'd like a breath work session to excavate that energy that's no longer serving you, please reach out. I would love to set something up with you. I will see you soon, my friend. Be well.
