This week on the podcast, I'm sharing a story that starts with a quiet Easter Sunday by the campfire... and ends with me doing something that surprised everyone—including me!

At 54, I found myself at the top of a hill, questioning whether I should really be hurtling toward a homemade bike ramp, cheered on by kids and watched by skeptical adults.  But after a bit of internal risk assessment—and despite my husband definitely thinking I shouldn’t go through with it—I decided to go for it.

In this episode, I reflect on what it means to feel strong and confident in midlife. A few years ago, during the ups and downs of perimenopause, I wouldn’t have believed I’d be doing something like this. But consistent weight training, a protein-focused diet, good sleep, and intentional self-care changed everything.

Whether or not you ever want to catch air on a BMX bike, this episode is about more than a jump—it’s about reclaiming your strength, energy, and sense of adventure. If you're a woman navigating midlife and wondering what’s possible for your health and vitality, listen in... you may just get the motivation you've been looking for!

Take a listen to learn:

  • Why age doesn’t have to mean slowing down
  • How small, consistent habits can lead to major confidence
  • The power of strength training for women 40+
  • How to shift your mindset from “I can’t” to “I just did!”
