You're Already Whole
Grief advocacy + tools to navigate the holidays with ease
How do you feel about the winter holiday season?
Does it excite you?
Does it bring a wave of dread or stress?
Grief and other complex emotions can feel heightened around key dates - like the winter holiday season…
So how do you navigate it all? What tools do you turn to for support and grounding? What practices do you enjoy to access your peace?
In this episode we discuss the very real and natural experience of grief from the death of loved ones - and - some helpful tools to navigate the joy and complexity of the winter holiday season. It’s a really great conversation! You’re gonna love it.
These are some of the takeaways:
- Compassion, empathy and patience help to “soften the edges” of the intensity of grief - and - they help us access greater peace and connection through the healing journey
- Vulnerability deepens resilience - the more we share about life-altering experiences, the more we inspire people around us to share their stories; bringing light and love to “heavy” or painful memories
- Writing is a powerful tool to process the complexity of grief. You can brain dump what you feel, you can write a letter to your loved one or a past version of yourself, you can write a letter to your loved one who has passed on - or you can write poetry or us journal prompts. Writing is a meditative practice that helps us access and communicate the wisdom of our heart
