No More Excuses—Overcoming Fear, Resistance, and Just Showing Up
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
Welcome back to The Double Duty Agent Podcast! Today’s episode is a little different, and I’ll be giving you some straight talk—delivered with care and candor—about the excuses that are holding you back and how to break through them. This episode was inspired by a real conversation I had with an agent who felt completely stuck, convinced they had run out of options. But here’s the truth: You haven’t run out of options. You’ve just run into resistance. Resistance disguises itself as logic, obstacles, and valid reasons why you can’t move forward. But today, we’re calling it out and crushing it.
What You’ll Learn in This Episode:
-The 3 Root Causes of Excuses (Fear, Uncertainty, Lack of Purpose)
-Why fear of failing (not fear of failure) keeps you from taking action
-How waiting until you’re “ready” is just an excuse
-The conversation with an agent that inspired this episode—and what they didn’t see about their resistance
-How to change your self-talk to move from stuck to successful
-Why growth and comfort do not coexist—and why that’s a good thing
-The 7-Day Challenge to push through your resistance and start taking real action NOW
