From national champion to international educator, from inspiring physicians to mentoring superstars like Brie Larson and the Jabberwockies, our guest today has spent his life turning movement into medicine and passion into purpose. My friends, he is a legend, a visionary, and the embodiment of motivation itself. And he is here to remind us that one of our greatest responsibilities in life is to maximize our greatest potential. You're going to get to meet and hear from Pepper Vonn.

Kimberly/terry (01:05)
Hey, hey, hey, welcome to episode 60 of Group X Appeal. I'm Terry Shorter. is? Kimberly Spreen Glick. Woo woo. And today we are joined by the unstoppable Pepper Von national and international dance and fitness educator, motivational speaker, author, and co-owner of Step Dance and Fitness in Sacramento.

Pepper Von (01:09)
Woo!

Kimberly/terry (01:28)
⁓ Pepper's passion for movement and mentorship has inspired generations from coaching champions and celebrities to creating global fitness programs like Fierce Funk and F4 Fierce. 10 times fast. F4 Fierce. F4 Fierce. Fierce. I was almost there. I could have done it. could have it. Pepper's impact stretches from classrooms to stages, from community centers to UC Davis medical students, all driven by one vision.

Pepper Von (01:41)
You ⁓

Hahaha!

Kimberly/terry (01:56)
to unite the world through motivation, respect, and joy. As Pepper says, one of your greatest responsibility in life is to maximize your greatest potential. And today he's here to share with us exactly how. Yay. What's up Pepper? Hey Pepper. Hello. There it is. There it is. We've been waiting for that. On cue. I love it. I love it. How are you feeling?

Pepper Von (02:09)
Hey, hey you guys. Oh, wait, Pepper. All right. Yes. Well, thank you

so much for having me, you guys. I am very honored to be here. So yeah, it's great.

Kimberly/terry (02:26)
Thank you, Pepper.

We're very happy to have you. So again, thanks for taking time out. You're going to want to stick by as a listener. Pepper has an amazing story. And right out of the gates, let's not waste any time. Take us back, Pepper. How did you get started as a leader in fitness, especially with that super accomplished bio that we just shared? And we only kind of scratched the surface. So how did you, first of all, get started? What made you love it?

Pepper Von (02:49)
Hahaha

Kimberly/terry (02:53)
And why do you still love it? And are you tired? kidding. You can leave that part out.

Pepper Von (02:57)
Am I tired? That's

like asking someone, are you tired of breathing? know, right? Yeah, think about that, right? Well, you know, I'm an OG, right? Well, actually these days by now I'm a double OG, right? So.

Kimberly/terry (03:04)
ooooh, good response! heck yeah!

Okay, so for some of our listeners who may not be familiar

with OG, break down what OG stands for.

Pepper Von (03:21)
Original. I'm an original getter, right? You know, in other arenas it may be referred to as original gangster, but I'm like, I'm an original go-getter, right? Okay. So I'm a double OG. Well, then all that means is I came into the industry back in the day. Back in the day. I'm talking about during jazzercise, right?

Kimberly/terry (03:23)
Yes. Yes.

Right. There we go. Love it.

okay. Yeah.

Pepper Von (03:47)
during Jack, Jack Lillane, Richard Simmons,

Denise Austin, Gilad, you guys know, right? Corey Everson, Rachel McClish, you know, the 20 minute workout. Look, I came into the fold when there were G string leotards, right? I was not. No, I stopped at the bike shorts.

Kimberly/terry (04:03)
Were you wearing one though? That's the question. You know he was. You know he was. Wait a minute. I'm just going to create a picture in my mind. OK, I'm sorry. Go on.

Yeah

Pepper Von (04:16)
But, you know, ⁓ during the time when was, the aerobics was in bare feet and leg warmers and headbands, right? So you guys, you know, know that time. So I believe that, I don't know, whatever journey is meant for you will not miss you, right? So, you know, when you say, you know, to take you back and what started me as a leader and teacher in fitness,

Coming from an educational background in athletics and emergency medicine, my site has always been set on teaching and leadership. You know what I mean? So, and so if that was my destiny, if that was my journey from birth, then it couldn't miss me. So it was pretty much organic. So that just kept me putting one foot in front of the other and believing in health and wellness as a lifestyle, you know.

And I don't know, I I just followed the breadcrumbs and kept doing whatever God presented me with next, you know? And my life and resume ended up being what it is. Yeah.

Kimberly/terry (05:24)
Yeah, it's beautiful.

Okay. And so

when you, when you started in the industry with all those other greats around the time when those other greats kind of gained prominence, ⁓ were you a participant who kind of watched as, as a student and then somehow were inspired by some of those great leaders that came before you or were you kind of pushed into like some of us? need you to teach tomorrow. I need you to teach tomorrow. What kind of situation was it for you?

Pepper Von (06:00)
Well, you I already had the vision of participating in what could change the world for the better anyway. And that's just kind of been my enticement as long as I can remember, even from a child. So at the end of the day, the truth is all of us stands on someone's shoulders, right? Someone came before us who inspired us and showed us that it can be done if you're willing to show up 10 toes down and do the work, right?

Kimberly/terry (06:19)
Mm-hmm.

Mm-hmm.

Pepper Von (06:30)
So

yeah, as an observer, but I was like, ⁓ that's it. That's, you know, that's happening. That's what I want to be a part of that. How can I be a part of that? And then how can I be fully engaged? And then how can I master it? And then how can I become a leader? So it's just the next thing, the next thing, the next thing. Yeah, exactly. ⁓ know, teaching and striving to be the best at whatever I do, it just kind of feeds my soul. So yeah, so it's easy to love in the thing that feeds your soul.

Kimberly/terry (06:46)
the progression.

Okay.

Pepper Von (06:59)
and that makes a difference for, you know, in the lives of others. That's pretty easy, you know? So, and so you asked me before, why do I still love it? Why do I still love it, right? Well, that's all the... But they say, the days seem long, but the years are short, right? But, you know, I still love it because...

Kimberly/terry (07:09)
Yeah.

after all these few years. Just these last couple, these last couple years.

Right?

Pepper Von (07:27)
I'm still in it for the same reasons. And it still serves my soul in the same way. At the end of the day, the bottom line is the truth doesn't change. If it ever was the truth, then the truth doesn't change. And so I'm still in it and I'm still loving it.

Kimberly/terry (07:38)
Mmm.

And I love what you said in the beginning. It's like I asked if you're tired and you said that's like asking if I get tired of breathing Because clearly your your gift of teaching and being a leader in the health and fitness world is Is part of who you are and it probably is like breathing for you. Yeah

Pepper Von (07:53)
Alright.

Yes. Yes, thank you. Because,

you know, we can say, this is what I do. Well, it's different when you say this is who I am. You know? Yeah.

Kimberly/terry (08:08)
Mm-hmm. Who I am. Mm-hmm. Yeah, for sure. Yeah. It's huge. Well, I love that. And over

the last few years, or decades, right? Whatever. You've seen technique change. You've seen technology change. But the principle and the purpose for you is stay, remain consistent. That's key. Yeah. Awesome.

Pepper Von (08:21)
You

Yes, absolutely, absolutely. Yes. So

yeah, because we are, we are still a species who's constantly reaching for our better selves. You know, you know, as we take more and more trips around the sun, more and more trips around the sun, our goal is to be better today than we were yesterday. Yes. And better tomorrow than we are today. So yeah.

Kimberly/terry (08:37)
Mm-hmm.

Yeah, Kaizen. Yeah, Kaizen. Kaizen,

yeah.

Pepper Von (08:54)
Yeah, so greatness never ends, right?

Kimberly/terry (08:57)
That's right. a journey.

So Pepper, we'd love to hear about perhaps like an unforgettable moment that you could share. Now this could be from maybe classes you've taught or of course you have trained instructors, other fitness professionals around the world. That's how I first met you is taking your dance class at a conference in Baltimore, Maryland, AAAI a few years ago. think it was probably 30 years ago. Oh, I started.

Pepper Von (09:15)
Yeah.

Woo! Woo!

Kimberly/terry (09:26)
Pepper crush him when I was 20 something when you were six years old. But if you share a story, maybe it's

Pepper Von (09:27)
Woo! Woo! Woo!

Kimberly/terry (09:32)
like a, goosebumps story or just a hilarious mishap or just maybe a time that a participant or a trainee or something just changed your perspective or touched you in a certain way. Well, we don't need to know all that.

Pepper Von (09:39)
Yeah, well, ⁓ okay.

All right, Terry, don't jump on that one. I know she left herself wide open there. Let it pass. I'm all like, let it go. man. Okay. All right. The cuteness comes in all forms. Let me tell you. Okay. So, well, you know,

Kimberly/terry (09:47)
I always do! always do! That one was wildly unintentional. Wildly unintentionally intentional. boy.

brother

Pepper Von (10:09)
Yeah, I've had a few of those moments in my career journey. You know, I've had moments where I was on stage in front of tens of thousands of people on world tours and, you know, doing this amazing stuff and my zipper was down, my fly was open, right? So, you know, I've had those moments, right? Literally. And I've had those moments where I'm doing this amazing dance thing on stage and blah, blah. And I'm to jump off the stage over into the orchestra pit.

Kimberly/terry (10:30)
Yeah.

Pepper Von (10:39)
And my foot gets caught on one of the microphone wires back in the day. We had wires with microphones, right? You know what mean? We didn't have the ear pieces, right? And my foot got caught and it was a domino effect, like eight or 10 microphones on stage that went bam, bam, bam, bam, bam, bam, bam. And this was in the middle of a world tour. right. So we all have those branded moments, know, those moments that we go.

Kimberly/terry (10:44)
was the thing.

Click, ⁓

The remind you you're a human

being.

Pepper Von (11:09)
Woo, right?

Yeah, exactly. Reminds you of your human being, right? But I don't have a really single goosebump moment for fitness, but a long, and I don't know how many longs I can put on for long time, as Kimberly said, but I'm gonna say over four decades ago, I realized

Kimberly/terry (11:13)
Like, you're not all that.

Pepper Von (11:38)
and couldn't believe that I was getting paid and making a living, inspiring and teaching people to be well. You know, I mean, when that hit me, it was like a brick in the winter, you know, so inspiring and teaching people to participate and create communities of health and wellness. And I was getting paid and could sustain a living off of that.

Kimberly/terry (11:47)
Mm. Mm.

Pepper Von (12:06)
it almost felt unfair, you know, ⁓ that I was actually on the front end of raising, I mean, yeah, I was on the front end of a rising trend at that time of physical, mental and emotional fitness that was sweeping across the globe. And I was on the front end of it. At that time, I realized my multi-purpose, you know, and that, right. And when that hit me, the word for,

Kimberly/terry (12:09)
Yeah.

Yeah, that's a goosebump moment for sure. Definitely.

Pepper Von (12:36)
ever was then tattooed on my forehead. You know, that that says, well, that says we are we are one. Yes. Yeah, underneath that. Right. And so that was, my most memorable. will never forget when I when I when that hit me and I realized that this is why I was born. This is what I do. This is how I'm going to make a difference in the world. And yeah.

Kimberly/terry (12:39)
Nice. Which is why he's wearing a hat. we are one. I like it. It's forever on the back side. ⁓

There you go. And you

have, you have. Absolutely. So after 40 years, you know, in this industry Pepper, at this point, how do you still stay inspired to continue leading with passion and intention? I could feel your passion. could feel your energy. I appreciate it. And I'm taking it all in. So how do you stay inspired though, to continue, you know, staying consistent like that?

Pepper Von (13:07)
Thank you. Thank you.

⁓ You know, it's really not hard. It's really not difficult. It's not even like a thought. And I don't know. I mean, I see with my own eyes people's lives changing for the better right in front of my face. You know, so when you say, can you, you know, stay inspired when you see the change happening in real time, right in front of

Kimberly/terry (13:49)
Yeah. yeah.

Pepper Von (14:00)
You know, it's hard to do anything but keep a good thing going good, as grandma would say, right? Keep a good thing going good, right? You know, to carry the motto in my spirit that movement is medicine. know, movement is medicine. And my witness testimonies, literally, I was there.

Kimberly/terry (14:06)
Keep a good thing going good. Keep a good thing going good. Pepper nugget.

Yeah.

Pepper Von (14:28)
My witness testimonies are just way too numerous to even name, you know? I believe that healing starts as a personal journey. So what's personal to personal? We're talking developing relationships, right? So healing starts as a personal journey. And if we can heal ourselves, then we can heal the world. You know what I mean? So yeah, so that keeps me inspired every day is like Christmas.

Kimberly/terry (14:57)
Yeah. love that. That said, fully inspired, fulfilled. It comes through your passion, your intention, all of it. But we could all probably also agree that being a fitness pro is not always easy. So what has been your biggest challenge, would you say? And how did you overcome it?

Pepper Von (14:58)
Yeah.

⁓ Okay, so y'all gonna get into like personnel. You gonna get, okay. Live deeper, live deeper. Okay. Well, you know, you mentioned it's not always easy. Well, lucky for me, I don't look for easy. I look for effective. You know? So, yeah. And it's been a challenge at times to operate in an industry that is sometimes plagued by ego.

Kimberly/terry (15:20)
We're getting in. We're getting into it. Every question goes a little deeper.

Okay. Yep.

Mm-hmm. What? There's no ego.

Pepper Von (15:46)
You know, that's, are

you kidding? Well, and I'm not saying that's the foundation is built on, but every now and then, you know, it just is what it is. So it's challenging for me to witness the lack of collaborative energy and the lack of support we may have for each other at times. And that mindset breaks my heart, you know.

Kimberly/terry (16:06)
Mmm.

Yeah.

Yeah.

Pepper Von (16:15)
But I overcome it by keeping my eyes, my heart, and my spirit on the bigger purpose. You know, that's the way I overcome it. And if I can keep my eyes, my heart, and my spirit on the bigger purpose, then creating and nurturing a world of peace, joy, health, and happiness for our younger generation becomes the golden nugget.

Kimberly/terry (16:36)
Yeah. Well, that's why we're here. And I'm so happy to, you know, speaking about the collaborative effort and energy. You know, I'm grateful that Kimberly called me up and talked to me and shared her dream that she had. And that's why we're here. That's why we're all here because she, you know, is all about collaboration. She's all about winning together, you know, getting stronger together. Yeah. Stronger together. Hashtag.

Pepper Von (16:39)
you.

Yeah.

Yes, throwing it together. There you go.

Kimberly/terry (17:07)
I'm always happier when we work together. ⁓ That's what fulfills me. To go at this solo makes no sense to me when we make a bigger difference in the world when we come together. Yeah. And the world needs difference makers, difference changers, or change makers. my. You could say that again. F1 F1 would. Could you just bring it 10 times fast.

Pepper Von (17:10)
Yeah.

change makers, right?

Kimberly/terry (17:32)
We just keep a difference maker. know, love

that one. need more difference makers like Pepper Von. There it is. You know, we're going to do like screenshots of that. That's going to be a meme. That's it. The Pepper Von meme. Oh my gosh. We'll post the meme and ask people to caption it. So yeah, remind me at the very end, we'll all do this. Oh yeah. We'll do the Pepper Von.

Pepper Von (17:36)
Difference makers, yes, right. Thank you. Oh, that was my cue. All right.

Okay.

Hahaha!

Right,

Kimberly/terry (18:02)
So

40 years in now, Pepper, fast forward 20 years out from now. boy. Let's talk legacy, because you've already created a legacy. there's still more impact to be done here, to be made, right? So what impact do you hope your fitness career leaves behind looking out 20 years from now?

Pepper Von (18:04)
Yes?

Kimberly/terry (18:24)
Like, what do you expect or what do you hope your community will say about the experiences you provided?

Pepper Von (18:30)
Well, hopefully, you know, when I pass through.

You know, metaphysically speaking, any place that you go, well, right? ⁓ Metaphysically speaking, yes. Anyplace that you go or that you've ever been, there you are, right? So that means you leave some vibrations and energy ⁓ of who you are, any place that you've ever gone.

Kimberly/terry (18:41)
we're going extra deep now. We're going metaphysical. I love it. Get in your submarine, y'all. going deeper.

Pepper Von (19:06)
My grandmother always said, when you leave a place, hopefully you leave people missing your presence and not celebrating your departure. So, right here. Right? Right? Well. ⁓

Kimberly/terry (19:19)
Ooh, God, that's another nugget. Yeah, we got to write this stuff down. Thank goodness. Thank goodness. Did I push record? Hold on.

Pepper Von (19:36)
You know, I just hope that people having experienced my presence, gain a knowledge and belief that not only that fitness is possible, but it's actually available, right? And because if you are present anywhere, fitness is there. Fitness opportunity is available, right?

So to inspire, encourage, motivate, you know, people in the arena of life wellness. I just hope that they can remember every day from the experience they had with me that fitness and wellness, life wellness is available ⁓ and that they can share this journey with the beautiful, fun community all over the world. With the beautiful and fun community all over the world.

Right? So, you know, and I know that's not very extravagant, but I like the simplicity, right? Because at the end of the day, when someone having an experience with me, they're not going to remember the 30 things or the 53 things that I said, and, you know, and the 15, 18 songs on the playlist, they're not going to remember all that. So if they can just remember that fitness and life wellness is available anywhere you are.

Then I'm good.

Kimberly/terry (21:06)
Mm-hmm. Love that. Easy as that. ⁓ Powerful. That's powerful. So Pepper, is there anything else that you would like to share? Any other? mean, you dropped some pretty golden nuggets here, but I have to go back and try to remember and repeat these because your grandma sounds like something special. She would be very, very proud of you. about legacy. Right. Yeah. Living through you.

Pepper Von (21:08)
You know, yes.

Hahaha

Well,

you know, don't know, man, you know, those Southern grandmothers, man, you know, it's like they're in there, bro, you know. So, yeah, well, I just my own belief system is that if we can work out together, then we can work together. If we can work together, then we can play together.

Kimberly/terry (21:39)
love it.

Pepper Von (22:00)
If we can play together, then we can feel together. If we can feel together, we can heal together. And if we can heal together, we can live together.

That's it. You know, it's not that complicated or sophisticated, right? So that's just, you know, what I hope, wish and see in a vision that we can all accomplish if we just put one foot in front of the other, you know, respectfully and as a human race, knowing that we're all

on this journey that we're not done yet. We're still works in progress. We can live with the food of ⁓ empathy, compassion, forgiveness, all these things, right? These high level vibration things. We're gonna be okay in spite of the illusion that we're not.

Kimberly/terry (23:07)
Mm-hmm. Now there's quite quite an illusion right now, isn't there? Yeah.

Pepper Von (23:11)
Quite an illusion, yes,

yes, right, yeah, yeah. And I like to remind my students there are two phrases that I say, these are my favorite short phrases, right? One of those phrases is in spite of.

Period. Show up every day for yourself in spite of the fact that you had a long night before. Show up in spite of the fact that you're tired. Show up in spite of the fact that you think your feelings got hurt. Show up in spite of the fact you've already deemed it as difficult or hard or tough. Show up, right? Just show up for what you say you want. And I always

You know, people around here, say, perfect. That's your phrase. Show up 10 toes down. You know, in other words, to stand strong, right? Show up in spite of things that you on paper looks like should shut you down. No show up. And because you're always stronger than you think you are, right? Show up. Just keep showing up.

Kimberly/terry (24:05)
Mm-hmm.

Yeah. That's a fact.

Pepper Von (24:23)
You know, the recovery programs, whether they're 12 step or it doesn't matter which direction they go, do not give up before the miracle happens. You know, right? So I just, you know, so my phrase of in spite of just means in spite of whatever keeps showing up. yeah, yeah, in spite of, and my second short phrase is for now.

Kimberly/terry (24:33)
Mm-hmm.

I I love, never heard of InSight. I like that. I love it.

Pepper Von (24:53)
Because we've heard the phrase, and this too shall pass. We've heard that before, But if we remind ourselves every day that all this stuff is temporary, it's all temporary, right? So we say, yeah, you know, I'm working on this and I'm not sure. okay, if you've chosen struggle, sorry, if you've chosen suffering as a result,

Kimberly/terry (24:56)
Right. Yep.

Pepper Von (25:22)
of challenge, all you gotta do is remind yourself for now. This is just for now. Reminding us that we're only where we are on the way to where we're going.

Kimberly/terry (25:27)
Mm-hmm.

That's true.

Pepper Von (25:36)
All

this stuff is a temporary stopover, right? Hurt as few people as you can along the way, right? And including yourself, because you're people, right? Including ourselves, we are people. So hurt as few people along the way as we possibly can. But it's all ⁓ temporary. So this is for now. Don't get caught up in suffering to a point that we give up.

Kimberly/terry (25:39)
Mm-hmm.

Yeah.

Yep, absolutely.

Pepper Von (26:04)
Do not quit before the miracle happens. So those are my things, man. A lot.

Kimberly/terry (26:07)
Yeah.

Those are fantastic. I like it. I like it. I like it.

In spite of in spite of and for now that's a no excuses attitude. And let me see. I'm going to quiz myself. If we can work out together, we can work together. We can work together. We can play together, together. We can play together. can chill together. And if we can chill together, we can heal together. Do we miss anything?

Pepper Von (26:21)
Right?

We can play together.

And if we can

heal together, yes!

Kimberly/terry (26:40)
We can live together.

You know me, I'm going to throw in love. We can live in love together. Hey, choose love. That works. love that. Do we get an A? we get an A? I like 10 toes down too. 10 toes down, stand tall. I like that.

Pepper Von (26:48)
Absolutely. Yes, yes, yes. That's great. Look at you guys being good students. Yeah, there you go. As

Bruce Lee said, the teachers become the student who become the teacher who becomes a student who becomes the teacher becomes a student. It is. That's right. Yep. Whoever a student. Yeah.

Kimberly/terry (27:09)
It's a cycle, never ending cycle. Thank goodness.

I love that. Fantastic. So Pepper, where can people find you on social media, any new upcoming events, any product services training? What are you doing? Where can they find you? How can they get ahold of you?

Pepper Von (27:18)
So, yeah.

Well, ⁓ well, is pepper like salt and pepper, the spicy, no, P-E-P-P-E-R. So get some pep in your step. can come. ⁓ So ⁓ it's Pepper Von, V as in Victor, O-N. And, you know, my email is peppervon01 at gmail.com.

Kimberly/terry (27:32)
Well!

If you need a little spice in your life.

Pepper Von (27:59)
And of course, I reside here in Sacramento. You can also go to the Step One Dance and Fitness, you know, website as well. You can reach me through there. And it's called Step One because anywhere you get in life, you have to take the first step. It all started with the first step. Yeah. No, the first step. Exactly. Yeah.

Kimberly/terry (28:18)
first step. Right. And you don't even have to see the whole staircase.

Pepper Von (28:28)
I am on Instagram. Now, if you ask me like all my handles and all that, I'm like, I have no idea. But okay, good. Right. You guys probably know more than me. Okay. Yes. Right. So I am on Instagram. I am on like two different Facebooks and YouTube and all that stuff. I don't know. You know, I just function in my daily, right? You know,

Kimberly/terry (28:34)
It's Peppervon. Peppervon. There's only one pepper. Your people hooked you up right? Yeah. There can only be one.

Yep.

Pepper Von (28:56)
try to maintain and find balance in my life. Service to others, community service, not just industry service, reaching out to be of service to the homeless or to the abused or to food insecurity, whatever it does, just to show up, just to show up to share what is not mine to own.

Kimberly/terry (29:05)
Mm-hmm.

Pepper Von (29:26)
Right? always say ⁓ all this stuff, all my gifts, my resources, my visions, my talents, all this stuff is on loan to me to share with others. It's not mine. It's just on loan to me. And the universe asked me daily, what are you going to do with it today? Right? You know, daily it asked me and I'm like, ⁓ OK, well, let me. Exactly. Exactly. I wake up in the morning.

Kimberly/terry (29:26)
Yeah.

Mmm... ⁓ yeah.

And, and daily you respond. ⁓

Pepper Von (29:55)
Throw the curtains open and I go, I'm back. I look at it and I'm back. So bring it, come on, what you got? Right? know? Yes.

Kimberly/terry (29:57)
Yes. When we were first

talking about us getting together and we're talking about the block of time in his day and he's like, well, the mornings, those are set for service. That's when I'm out in my community, whether it's with the youth or whatever. And then in the evenings, I'm at my studio. I've got, what is it? How many? 37 instructors? Yeah, 37 teachers teach for him now. Plus he's still teaching.

Pepper Von (30:13)
Right?

We have 37 teachers. ⁓ Yes.

Kimberly/terry (30:27)
And so we're kind of

in the middle of the afternoon here because you're serving in the morning, you're serving in the evening, doing your thing. you are responding to the universe's question every day. Way to answer that call. ⁓

Pepper Von (30:32)
Ready?

That's right.

⁓ yeah. Well, thank you. Thank you. Well, ⁓

I noticed that you guys are now know if I don't mean to jump your gun, but ⁓ I know that you had also asked about ⁓ songs or something that, you know, what's on my power playlist or something like that. ⁓ well, ⁓ there's OK, so.

Kimberly/terry (30:52)

Bring it.

Pepper Von (31:06)
I always think of everything like a production like we do in class, right? There's a warm up, there's a warm up, there's a body of the class, there's a cool down, right? So, So, for myself right now, there's a song called, You Can and You Will.

Kimberly/terry (31:10)
Of course you do.

You probably have a lighting director. Hyrotechnic engineer.

You can and you will. can and you will.

Pepper Von (31:30)
Mm-hmm. Right.

You can and you will. Okay. And the premise of that song says you can and you will be successful today. You can and you will be phenomenal today. Right. So and I love what I love about it is it doesn't suggest that you can be that you will be amazing.

Kimberly/terry (31:34)
Okay.

no.

Nice. Yeah.

Pepper Von (31:59)
and successful and phenomenal. No, it made it a command. It said, you can and you will, right? Right. It didn't say, so, yeah, so what do you think? No, it says you can and you will be successful. You can and you will be amazing. You can and you will be phenomenal. So go get your miracle. Right? So that's the first one. And then there's this ⁓

Kimberly/terry (32:04)
Today. Right. It's not like it's possible. No, it's like you will. Or it might.

love it. Yes.

Pepper Von (32:26)
there's this second power play called Thunder and Lightning. Okay, Thunder and Lightning. And ⁓ the key phrase there is let's go. It's like it's a driving force, almost like military, almost driving, but it says let's go, let's go, let's go, right? mean, go get your miracle, let's go, right? And then, ⁓ and I don't know if you guys have heard this, but you know, the...

clothing side of that is best version of yourself.

Kimberly/terry (33:02)
I haven't heard of that. ⁓

Pepper Von (33:03)
Okay,

best version of yourself. So those three songs I literally, I literally hear and listen to daily for me. For me, you know, because they speak to me, you know? Yeah.

Kimberly/terry (33:11)
nice.

⁓ Awesome.

Okay. We'll make note of that so we can put it in the show notes. He's on it. You're always on it.

Pepper Von (33:22)
Yes, please share it.

Yeah. So please, yeah. And if there's any way for you guys to share these, amazing, right? Because like we said, none of this stuff belongs to us. You know, it's alone to us to share with each other and, you know, get it done. So.

Kimberly/terry (33:29)
Yeah, we will.

Absolutely. Love it.
