[00:00:00] Hey, everybody. Welcome to The Way with Dino Katsimatis, and today's gonna be a little different. And the reason why is because I don't actually have a full podcast with you, uh, where I'm interviewing somebody. This is actually just a one-on-one message where I want to tell you kind of the, uh, the roadmap of where we're going, and I'm gonna call it season two.
Season two is super exciting because I've been putting a lot of work into it, and it's because of what the outcome is going to be when it's done. So here's the deal. I'm working on it now. We're gonna finish up season one. I think we got, like, three or four more shows, and then after that, season two begins.
Season two is going to give you play-by-play instructions on how to convert yourself from a loan officer to a mortgage advisor. We're gonna have playbooks with pretty much every single episode. So we're gonna have all the different pillars that [00:01:00] exist in having a truly successful mortgage business, a career, if you will.
And with that, we all know you can do one thing exceptionally well, and that one thing is probably enough to make you better than most people. But I'm gonna bring in the best of the best from the entire country that are very, very good at that one thing from each of the pillars. From there, we're gonna create playbooks for each pillar to teach you specifically, not just general stuff, but, like, specifics on how to do these pillars at the highest level.
And then from there, we're gonna put it all together, and we're gonna create a book and a workbook, and this workbook is gonna be something that you can have For your day-to-day business. It's something that's going to be something you have to put some effort into, right? You're not gonna just read it and start doing things.[00:02:00]
It's gonna be something you're gonna be working in, and it's gonna be, as we say, working on your business, not in your business. So you're gonna have to take some time away from your desk, away from all the phone calls, away from the chaos of this industry, so that you can specifically start working on your business the way a pro does.
That's how you go from having a job to a career. This is gonna be, I think, the most exciting, because season two is going to give us all that. So I look forward to sharing all of this with you. And just in case, so don't forget, like season two starts like in a month, but the last several shows we have are gonna be amazing.
My last guest of season one is going to be Varun Krishna, the CEO of Rocket, which is a big, it's a big deal. He is arguably the biggest CEO of, of all the companies [00:03:00] in our entire industry. So stay tuned because in a couple days the newest episode is coming out, couple days late from our normal release date of Tuesday, but it's coming out.
You'll have it by Wednesday or Thursday at the latest. And then from there, uh, I just wanna also say thank you because this season one has been incredible. We've just leaps and bounds. I, I mean, the whole first year Seemed like it was successful and seemed like things were going well, but then just like that one day, everything doubled.
And the entire amount of downloads we had in one year, we then had in one month. The very following month, we doubled. Then the following month, we doubled again. And, and now we're having thousands and thousands of downloads every single month thanks to you guys. And I know some of that is just, it's maybe feels a little prideful or, or even ego-driven on my end, but it just feels like it's working, and [00:04:00] that I appreciate.
So what I'm trying to say is thank you. I'm trying to say thank you because y- I believe we're bringing enough value, and that's always been my goal is to empower, equip, and educate the way lending should be done. That's, that's what we do at Ethos. That's what we stand for. And ultimately, I'm trying to do that for the entire industry.
And, and I gotta t- say the truth here. As we get older, right, I'm starting to age out. I still feel like I got a good 10 years left in me, but I'm aging out. I'm on the back nine. And, and with that comes wanting to actually leave a legacy behind. We always talk about leaving a legacy for our family, for our kids, right?
But I, I, I do. I want that, but I also want something to leave behind here in our industry. This has been a great industry. I mean, sure, we've had our ups and downs, but I just can't imagine doing something else. I love the mortgage industry. I love our space. And, and I [00:05:00] hope that before I depart, I can actually bring that to you guys and really impress on you how good this industry can be and how great of a career you can have in it if you do it right.
And again, my whole goal here is to c- have this conversion. I want you to have a conversion. If you are a loan officer, if you call yourself a loan officer I want you to have this moment, this conversion moment, right? Coming down from the heavens, boom, strikes you, and you become a mortgage advisor. There is such a difference.
A loan officer has a job. A mortgage advisor has a career, and that's what I want to try and show you how to do so you can change how you do everything in your industry moving forward. How you structure your day, how you structure your time with your family. Because you allow and you do your business the right way, you have more time at home.
And ultimately, not living through [00:06:00] the highs and the lows of our industry, you gotta always be able to maintain a floor. And, and if you bring your floor up to a certain level, you'll never, ever have to go back or, or say, "This industry sucks," or say the, the interest rates are too high, or any of the things that we always hear people say.
That floor will be your new standard, and from there, everything above it is gonna be fantastic. So we'll see you in a couple days for the new episode, and we'll see you in about a month for season two, and I hope that you guys love it as much as I do, and I hope that you guys get as much value out of season two as I think you're gonna get.
