Navigating my diastasis recti (DR) recovery was a long journey, but it ultimately led me to a tummy tuck in April 2019. As a former competitive CrossFit athlete and Certified Pregnancy & Postpartum Coach, I thought I knew what to expect, but I was shocked how the mental and physical challenges felt completely new to me. Even though I was fortunate to have help, I couldn’t believe how many women go through this surgery without the proper help in post-op rehab. It lit a fire in me to change that, and now that I’m back doing everything I love at the gym, I’m on a mission to help other moms rebuild their strength and confidence after this major surgery. That’s why I co-host Tummy Tuck Talk!—to share my personal story, stories of the women I work with, break down the barriers, and make sure no woman feels alone on her recovery journey.

When I first started working with moms who had diastasis recti (DR), there was little information or support available. Even professionals were unsure how to help, leaving many women feeling lost. Over the years, we’ve made great progress, spreading awareness and creating resources to guide both moms and professionals through DR recovery.

Now, I see the same struggles with women recovering from tummy tucks—uncertainty about surgery and fear of returning to exercise. But it doesn’t have to be this way! I’m passionate about making sure these women get the support they deserve. If we can transform the conversation around DR, we can do the same for tummy tucks. My vision is a world where every woman has access to the rehab and guidance she needs to recover confidently and return to fitness!
