Healthy & Redeemed - Helping Christians Grow in Mental and Spiritual Health
Healthy & Redeemed is a podcast designed to help Christians grow emotionally and spiritually, equipping them to live healthier, more Christ-like lives. Healey Ikerd, a psychotherapist for over 15 years, will blend biblical wisdom with psychological concepts to help listeners learn to manage their emotions, improve their mental health, and deepen their faith. The goal is to help listeners live out God’s word in every aspect of their lives and be healthy reflections of Jesus Christ.

- Simple coping skills you can use every day, grounded in both psychology and Scripture.
- How good mental health supports spiritual growth—and how the two work together.
- How living out biblical principles brings emotional stability, peace, and healthier relationships.
- What it really looks like to trust God more deeply in your thoughts, habits, and decisions.
- How to live out your faith in real, practical ways during ordinary moments and difficult seasons.

30. Breaking Unhealthy Relationship Patterns: Trusting God with Your Relationships
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
Have you ever tried to 'manage' a relationship out of fear—fear of being rejected, fear of not being enough, or fear of being alone?
In this episode, I’m talking about what it looks like to truly trust God with our relationships. We’ll gently explore how early experiences can shape the way we relate to others and how trying to control relationships often comes fear.
You don’t have to carry the burden of keeping every relationship together. We can learn to release fear, let go of the need to be liked or in control, and instead walk in the peace that comes from placing people—and outcomes—into God’s hands.
My hope is that this episode encourages your heart and reminds you that you can be healthy and that you can trust God with your relationships.
