I know what that's like. For years, growing my business was my only goal. Then I realized I wanted more: more time for myself, my relationships, and my health, without giving up the business I'd built. I thought I'd lost my ambition, but I just had a new one.

9: Why you’re not getting it done (even when you have a plan)

You know what it's like, you have something important you want to get done, you carve out the time on your calendar, you make a plan for interruptions, you sit down to get it done—only to realize you can't seem to get through the work. You can't focus, you're rewriting sentences, you're distracted, and then the time block ends without you getting it done. This happens more often than you'd like to admit but you can't seem to figure it out. You definitely had enough time set aside—so what's going on?

I'll talk about what’s going on when your schedule says you should have enough time, why time blocks alone aren’t enough and what you can do instead.
