Gujabis Parshas Nasai The title of this Parsha, the Rebbe says, is instructive of how to deal with people who mock us. Nasai Esraish means we should raise our heads high to be proud and courageous, and don't be fazed by anything, because we are a holy nation. The entire parsha is predicated on shalim, peace. Hashem allows his name to be erased into the potion that is given to the Saita for Shalim Bayas, peace between husband and wife. And every word and even every letter in the Tarah is exact, and yet we see that each Shavat had the sacrifices of the Nasim, the twelve leaders, which were exactly the same, repeated twelve times, which makes Parsha's Nasai the longest parsha for the purpose of keeping the peace. And then, if a regular Jew wants to become holy, like a Kayyain, in the interest of peace, Rabbi Sak says, the Tarah introduces a Nazir, who can become holy through a different pathway, giving himself over to Hashem and letting his hair grow long as opposed to a Kayyain that needs to take regular haircuts, and not drinking any wine or grape products in contrast to what we do, making blessings and sanctifying our holy times with wine. Sholim is also one of Hashem's names, and finding peace is critical in everyone's life. I love to start every day with learning and exercise. This is my peace and allows me to connect to Hashem to get the day moving in the right direction. And anchoring the entire Parsha is the blessing of Yivarachah, what the Kaihanim bless us under the Talisan Yamtiv and in your shalim daily. It is also the blessing that parents bless their children for the past thousands of years, asking Hashem for protection, grace, and peace. Shalim. And this is done with the energy of love. Viahava, love adds up to the number 13, which is also the same number of the word echad, one, unity. So through love we achieve unity. And that is the pathway to get elevated, which is actually the name of the parsha, Nasai. And there is a peculiar way of how these blessings are said. We see the Chazan say a word from the Bracha first, and the Kaihanim repeat and bless the congregation. So why is this done in this unusual way? To underscore the fundamental of those who bless shall be blessed. The Chazan who represents the congregation blesses the Khehanim, so they can channel these godly blessings to us. Beautiful. We also see that the twelve sacrifices of the Nasim fit on six wagons. So why weren't twelve wagons used and each Shavat would get one wagon? The Rebbe explains that in life we need to maximize everything, and each wagon needed to be filled up completely. And this also promoted unity between the tribes. And to conclude, the longest parsha deserves the shortest voice note, with a message from the Hayem Yahim of this week, which corresponds to our next parsha, Baha'Laisrah is Hanerais, which is currently read this week in the Holy Land. The Alta Rabbit said that the Jewish people are called Neros lamps, and one needs to kindle the flame to spread light. And if you don't have an igniter for your flame, sharply strike the stone of the animal soul, and a spark of fire will fly out and kindle your godly fire. And to take it one step further, once inspired, you can ignite someone else's lamb through peace and love. And together we will bring Mashiach. Amen.
