Issue number 22 of the missional agent memo. Most agents don't miss their goals in December. They miss them in March when they stopped checking the map. And by April, the map is gone. The goals and plans have faded into the background. You started the year with clarity. You had a plan. You knew exactly what you were going after. Then you got busy. Not lazy, but busy. And slowly, almost without noticing, you stopped looking at the targets. You stopped protecting the habits you said mattered. Purposeful direction got replaced with reactive responding, putting out fires instead of starting them. And the hard part? Busy feels productive. So you don't even realize you've drifted, but you have, and you know it. We're at the end of April. The May market is here. It's time to bring your goals back into view. It's time to reset and refocus. Time to make sure you're doing the work that matters. Here's a simple three-step reset you can run today in 10 minutes. Look back, look up, look ahead. First, look back. Over the last four months, write it down. What worked, what didn't work, where did you start strong and fade? This isn't about condemning yourself. It's about getting real with yourself. You can't fix what you aren't aware of and you can't change what you don't own. Second, look up. Now pull out your goals, not from memory. Actually look at them. What did you say you wanted this year? Are you on track or behind? Why did your goals matter in the first place? This is about putting the targets clearly back in view and recommitting whatever portion of yourself or of your business that you've allowed to drift. Number three, look ahead. With your goals clearly in view, decide what matters now for this month. Not 10 things, three things. One focus, one number, one habit, one focus. What's the primary thing that deserves your attention this month? One number. What result are you going after this month? One habit. What behavior are you building or protecting this month? You know, most agents try to change everything. Don't be most agents. Be the few who work with clarity, purpose, and discipline. Look back, look up, look ahead. Do it now because the next 60 days, they matter more than the last 120. May and June will either be the months you look back on and say, that's where it turned for me. Or the months that you wish you had. If I can help, reach out. In your corner, Chris.
