Walk through of Phase 5 of the 6 Phase Meditation: mentally walking through your day before it begins. From wake-up to bedtime, you visualize the day ahead, block time for what matters, and reduce the odds of drifting.
Welcome back to Night Shift with Justin S. King, How to Transform Your Life One Night at a Time. Tonight I'm going to be talking about a visualization segment you can do in the evening or in the morning. This is part of the six-phase meditation method. Covered a couple phases in this from this podcast so far. And the six-phase meditation is a visualization that takes you through six different phases where you think about compassion, love, gratitude, forgiveness, the future that you want, the present next day, and a blessing that you're hoping to receive. So phase five of that meditation is where you visualize waking up the next day and going through your activities that you have planned, sort of through time blocks. And if you do time blocking, it can be very powerful. So you pre-decide what you're be working on at certain times of day. And based on your chronotype, different activities are better for you to be working on during different parts of the day. So once you've set up the time blocks, you're going to visualize yourself before you go to bed, going through your day and seeing yourself starting on time, waking up, getting out of bed, doing your morning activities, staying on task. You can see how you will be dealing with distractions as they come up and see yourself finishing each block of the day. So you are basically deciding what you're going to be doing the day before and visualizing yourself doing those things and doing them well. But these are shorter term than the longer visualizations we've done in the past. So tonight, before you go to bed or when you wake up, you can visualize your day from start to finish, just a few minutes, and see how much better your day goes. That's it for tonight's episode of Night Shift. My name is Justin S. King, and I help entrepreneurs find peace tonight and tomorrow and for the rest of their lives through sleep optimization, emotional regulation, and discovering their purpose. Good night.
