Today we're going to explore the throat chakra, which is part five of a seven-part series. The throat chakra is located in the neck and is the energy center for clear communication, expressing yourself authentically, and speaking your truth confidently, opening up harmony in all of our relationships. If you are someone that likes to work with crystal energy during your practice, the color associated with the throat chakra is blue. You may choose to place near you or hold in your hand during your meditation a blue opal, a turquoise stone, or perhaps an aquamarine. As always, let's begin by finding a comfortable position to either sit with a straight spine, or if it's more comfortable, you may simply lie down. And begin to send this light and healing energy into your throat. Imagine that this blue light is expanding your capacity to use your voice. Begin to notice your breath simply as it is, without making any changes to the natural rhythm. Begin to take longer, deeper, and more intentional breaths into the lungs, noticing how the cool air sensations feel in the back of your throat. On the exhale, if you'd like to add some sound and vibration into the throat, activating the vagus nerve to bring us to a full, complete state of calm, you can simply take a deep breath in, and on the exhale, allow the sound, allowing your shoulders to drop just a bit with each exhale. Inhale deeply through the nose, allowing your belly and chest to expand as you fill the lungs with life. And release the breath through the mouth with the ha breath, allowing your nervous system a break from the tensions of the day. Notice how the vibrations in your throat and perhaps the temperature of the air as it passes through your larynx and onto the tongue. Continue taking a few more deep breaths in and releasing with the ha breath, feeling the tension leaving your body with each exhale. Come back to a gentle and relaxed breathing pattern. I invite you to begin to visualize a blue light at the base of your throat. Notice this light as a wheel of energy rotating clockwise, bringing positive energy into your throat. Allowing you the ability to express yourself clearly and confidently. With each breath in, feel the openness of your throat expand further, bringing peace and harmony into your entire body. Repeat the following affirmations as a gentle reminder of the power that you hold. I speak with love and kindness to myself and others. Slowly imagining the healing blue light expanding beyond your throat, into your shoulders, down into your arms, and all the way into your fingertips. Allow the light to expand further into the lower body as it moves into your thighs, your calves, and all the way into your toes. Visualize your entire body wrapped in a cocoon of love and positive energy, being bathed in expansion and openness, connecting every part of you in a balanced flow. Allow yourself one more deep breath in and out. Showing gratitude for taking the time to allow yourself these moments today. Bringing awareness to your throat, your voice, your truth, and a new confidence to use your voice and speak your truth confidently. As you move through the rest of your day, may you speak with honesty, listen with compassion, and express yourself with confidence. Trust the wisdom that lives within you, knowing that your authentic voice is enough exactly the way it is. I hope you carry this sense of openness with you, and let your words be guided by kindness, your silence by presence, and your heart by truth. Look forward to next week when we explore the third eye chakra. Have a wonderful day, everyone.
