Black Forward
Black Forward is a podcast produced by the Black Resiliency Project in partnership with KZFR 90.1 FM through the Chico Speaks initiative.
Across five conversations, Black Forward centers the voices, stories, and lived experiences of Black community members in Northern California. The series explores reentry, recovery, entrepreneurship, elder wisdom, youth leadership, and the community-rooted work needed to move forward with dignity, resilience, and purpose.
Grounded in the mission of the Black Resiliency Project, Black Forward uplifts marginalized voices while highlighting culturally responsive care, harm reduction, economic empowerment, civic engagement, and generational resilience.
This series invites listeners to reflect on the barriers Black communities continue to face, the solutions already being built, and the power of Black-led community support.
