I talk to so many women who are terrified of retirement or empty nest. You know, y'all, they think it's a cliff they're about to fall off of. So today we build the bridge. You need to listen to the very end of this episode because. I'm going to debunk the toxic myth that you're too old to start over. P I'm going to show you why neurologically and spiritually you are just now qualified to do your best work. We are going beyond the body. We are activating the Soul Star chakra, the energy center that sits above your head and holds your true legacy. And reason number three, I'm guiding you through the future self handshake. Now y'all, this is a powerful visualization to meet the woman you are becoming and get the answer to the biggest question on your heart. Mm. Well, let's start with the psychology of purpose, shall we? In the West, we have confused purpose with profession. We think our purpose is what we get paid to do. So when we stop getting paid or when the kids stop needing us daily, we feel like we've expired. We feel like the milk that's gone bad. But in Okinawa, Japan, one of the blue zones where people live the longest, happiest lives, they have a different concept. And I'm probably gonna say this wrong, they call it L-K-I-G-A-I. I'm gonna try to say that, but that's what they call it. It translates to your reason for being and here is the very fascinating part. Hard we women over 50, y'all. For us this L-K-I-G-A-I. Rarely has to do with productivity. Research shows that women in their postmenopausal years who have a really strong sense of purpose, whether that be gardening, mentorship, painting, are simply being a presence of peace in their community. They have significantly lower rates of Alzheimer's and heart disease. See, your brain needs a purpose to stay healthy, but that purpose does not have to be saving lives in the ICU or screening people into the psych unit. Not anymore. It can be saving your own joy. It can be mastering watercolor. It can be writing a memoir. The shift is moving from doing I am what I achieve kind of thing to being I am valuable just because effing I'm here. You are not fading away. You're just finishing the prologue, y'all the real story. The one where you're the main character, not the supporting actress to everyone else's needs. That story, girl, it starts right now. So let's take this higher energetically. This transition is governed by that soul star chakra. Now most people stop at the crown chakra. The one at the top of your head, but this soul star sits about 12 inches above your head. Think of this as your personal AKC record. It is your library of wisdom. It holds the blueprint of who you were meant to be before the world told you who to be before you became a therapist, a nurse, a physician, an educator. Before you were a wife, before you were a mother, who were you? What did your soul come here to experience? Mm. What a lovely question. When we access that soul star, we step out of the roles we play and y'all, we step into our legacy. This is where we find courage to reinvent ourselves because we realize our worth has. Y'all. Our worth was never tied to the job title in the first place. So how do we access that wisdom? We are going to ask the expert. We are going to ask you, I want you to do this visualization with me so I know you're probably driving or exercising or cleaning, but listen through this and circle back. Step one, you just close your eyes and take a deep breath. Step two, I need you to imagine a beautiful, open space. Yeah, it could be a beach, a forest, or a, just a beautiful room. Step three. Now you imagine a woman who is walking towards you. Girl, it is you. 10 years from now, she's 60, 70, 80, 90. Look at her. She is not frail. She is not invisible. She is radiant. She's glowing with freedom. Look at what she's wearing. Look at that smile on her face. She looks like a woman who has put down the heavy burden. Step four. Walk up to her. Feel the love emanating from her. Reach out. Shake her hand. Hell give her a hug. Feel the warmth of her skin. Step five. Now I need you to ask her one specific question. Ask her. What is the one thing I need to let go of right now to become you? Step six. You simply listen. Don't think, just listen for the first word or phrase she gives you. Is it guilt? Is it the job? Is it fear? Is it the need to be right? You take that answer, that is your homework, so you open your eyes and whatever she told you, that is your Ner whatever she told you, that is your North star. You are not too old. You are just getting to the good part, and I have to ask you, as we close out this time together, are you afraid of the future because maybe you have a controller archetype. Are you terrified that if you don't control everything, maybe you won't matter? Girl, you've gotta find out.
