Kate Markland

Kate Markland is the founder of StoryQuest, the first platform that builds self-leadership, confidence, and communication skills through every child's own story, and the co-author of the Adventures of Gabriel series.

A former award-winning chartered physiotherapist with twenty years of clinical experience, Kate developed StoryQuest during a court-ordered separation from her son that reduced their contact to one hour a week on FaceTime. That one hour became two international bestsellers, a methodology piloted across 465 children in nine UK schools with 100% engagement, and a global story library connecting children from Bradford to Lahore to Buenos Aires.

Kate's evidence has been submitted to UK Parliamentary committees and her methodology was considered by UNICEF for global distribution. She speaks on children's self-leadership, the psychology of voice, resilience through constraint, and what happens when you refuse to let silence be the ending.
