Do you suffer from decision fatigue? Decision fatigue is when you become physically, mentally, and emotionally depleted when you have to make too many decisions. Some sources have suggested we make an average of 35,000 decisions a day. No wonder moms suffer from this condition! Even if you weren't familiar with the term "decision fatigue," I bet you have experienced it. Common symptoms include:
What can we do to overcome decision fatigue? In this episode, we'll discuss how to use an SOP to reduce your decision fatigue.

Sometimes, parenting feels like we're trapped in the movie Groundhog Day. 🤪 We say the same thing over and over, and we wonder if anything is sinking in.
Repeatedly in our 19 years of parenting, God has reminded me that my role is to plant seeds. Sometimes, I have the privilege of watering them and watching them bloom. Other times, my role was simply to prepare the ground and plant the seed. Regardless of how much of the growth process I am involved in, the first step of preparing the ground and planting the seed is an important one!
Even though I know how important it is, it can still be frustrating when I don't see progress or someone else gets credit for the progress. This is normal, and it's okay to experience this emotion. I choose not to stay there, though. I remind myself that I planted the seed and watered it, and God allowed someone else or some other event to be the prompting for understanding to take hold. God has been gracious to provide encouragement for me to keep going.
In this episode, I want to share some encouragement to help you hang in there when it feels like you are not making any progress.

Have you noticed that we tend to believe the stories we tell or tell ourselves?
It's like shining a flashlight on the path ahead. We focus our attention where the light shines. The same principle applies to the words we use. It's like a self-fulfilling prophecy. We start to live up to what others tell us or "shine the light on."
In this episode, we're talking about how you can change where you shine your flashlight so you can change the atmosphere of your home.

Most time management systems are designed for working professionals who can compartmentalize their life. They can have work blocks and home blocks. But what about moms who stay home, work from home, or homeschool? Having children underfoot and needing your attention at all hours of the day (and night) makes it quite challenging to compartmentalize your life!
Over the years, I've learned some tips and tricks to manage my time and not feel overwhelmed with all the things on my to-do list. In this workshop, you will learn a three-step process to plan your day, what to put on your to-do list (and what to take off), and common pitfalls to avoid when planning your day

A lot goes into running a household. Sometimes it can feel like there are not enough hours in the day to get everything done. With all that we have to do, how can we have time to pursue our dreams without feeling exhausted?!
We started using a Responsibilities & Privileges list as a way to provide a practical learning experience for our daughters to see the correlation between responsibilities and privileges and encourage maturity and independence. It became so much more. It was a great way to help them learn new skills and reap the benefits of their hard work. But it also provided a way for them to help around the house.
As they stepped up and helped in more ways, we created an atmosphere where we all were able to pursue our dreams. We shared the load and helped each other as needed. In this episode, I'll explain how we prepared and used a Responsibilities & Privileges List. Plus, you can download the free PDF that includes 90 responsibilities suggestions and 39 privileges suggestions.

In 2018, God placed on my heart to start a podcast helping homeschool moms manage the many demands of their unique lifestyles. Through the years, I saw how my message also applied to other women. I also learned about leadership topics and life coaching. As I started working with women during my life coach training, I realized that what really lit me up was helping women pursue their dreams while still serving their families well.
I started feeling God calling me to broaden my message and rebrand my business. I've gone back and forth about what to do and who God is calling me to serve. I finally realized that I can show up as all of me. I can talk about our homeschool journey, my struggle with a chronic health issue, and being a solopreneur. The valuable lessons I learn through each of these experiences have global applications. You can learn from them and apply them to your unique situation.
I'm excited to embark on this new journey! The content of the podcast will be shifting a little. (You can learn about that in the trailer episode just before this one.) I'll be focusing more on finding permission to pursue your dreams your way, practical solutions to challenges you might face, and tips for becoming a more influential leader. I hope you enjoy the new focus and find ways to apply what you learn to your life.
Now that you know the story of the pivot, I want to share my winding story.

I have been the go-to tech help regarding Apple products for my mother-in-law. As my daughter has become more tech-savvy, she wanted to help her Gram. The transition reminded my mother-in-law and I of a relay race. Just as a relay race requires trust, timing, and knowing when to release control, so does the transition into releasing control and responsibility to our kids.
In this episode, we talk about the three stages of passing the baton - recognizing when it's time to pass the baton, letting go of control, and trusting in their ability to handle the responsibility.
