Wellness in a Chaotic World

Building a Healthy Home Life with Kathryn Garland

Kathryn Garland Season 1 Episode 4

For today’s episode, I chatted with Kathryn Garland, host of a new podcast called Homespun: Create the Life You Crave. Homespun explores how to build a healthy home life and how that benefits us in all aspects of our lives.

Kathryn says she is a wife and mom first, always. She is a home educator who views the connections within the home to be the most important foundations for safety and health in life in general.

She says she has always been curious about healthy living, and that has led her down many roads - some good, some bad. Currently, she feels that nervous system regulation, healthy nourishing foods, and connection with others are the most important pieces to healthy living.

In our conversation, we talk about how she and her husband uprooted their lives, moving from Ontario to British Columbia, to go from city living to full-on homesteading. We also talk about what it’s like to live a home-centered life, homeschooling her kids, the benefits of home cooking, and the traveling she did before coming home.

You can follow Kathryn on Instagram @homespun.kathryn or join her Homespun Facebook group to learn more about her podcast.

Kathryn also offers free tips for how to bring life home again.
