I'm your host, Maritza. Before we start our practice, there are two things that I want to mention. First, thank you to all the listeners. I started this podcast a month ago, and I'm so thankful for everyone that has been tuning in. My target audience is interpreters in the United States, but to my surprise, interpreters in other countries have been tuning in. In all honesty, when I saw the list of countries, I almost started crying. I started studying Swahili three years ago, but I had to stop because I had so much on my plate. I dream of going to Tanzania and Kenya. I decided to Take the legal and general categories and make them into one list of 20 terms all related to election terminology. For medical, I've included vaccine terminology in previous episodes, but I'm going to do vaccines again. Let's begin. Election terminology for general and legal. Electoral college. Delegates. This vaccine is for measles live vaccine. Shingles vaccine, also known as Zoster vaccine. BCG vaccine. This vaccine is for the treatment of tuberculosis. BCG is a French abbreviation. In the United States, BCG will be Bacillus de Calmet-Guérin. I'm going to give you the French pronunciation, but do not make fun of me. One of the reasons I do not study French is because I can't pronounce it. In French, BCG is B C G R E N T. For the next vaccine, notice that it is diphtheria. Feria.
