In this mini episode, Kira challenges the default script of “I’m so busy” and shows how repeated language hardens into identity and results. She shares simple choices to reduce overload, adjust routines, and align who we are being with the life we want.

• the habit of saying “I’m busy” and its effect
• words as cues that guide attention and action
• difference between real constraints and repeated choices
• practical subtractions from calendar and commitments
• reworking morning routines for calmer starts
• shared duties with a partner to create solo time
• shifting identity from busy to intentional
• using small choices to reinforce new identity

SPEAKER_00:

Hey guys, welcome back to another bonus audio. Um, so today I wanted to talk a little bit about choices, right? So I was talking to someone the other day, and anytime I ask, hey, how's it going? How are you doing? It's always, oh, I'm just, I'm so busy. I get it. I'm busy too. I think we're all busy, right? As adults, there's always stuff to do. But it becomes a choice, right? And our our thoughts become things, our words become things. If we are constantly saying, I'm busy, oh my gosh, I'm just so busy, well, we're just gonna create more busyness. The same thing goes for anything in your life. If you're saying I'm broke all the time, you're gonna be broke. If you're saying, oh gosh, I just I have a headache, I have a migraine, I have this symptom, I have that symptom, same thing. And then the other thing I want to say is all of these things are choices. Now, I'm not saying it's a choice to just feel sick, right? There are days and there are reasons why people get sick, there are reasons why we don't have money, you know. But in general, if we keep saying the same thing, it has become a choice. You get to choose differently how you show up in the world, the things that you say to yourself, the things that you say to others. So, like, I'll go back to the busyness. I'm, oh, I'm just, I'm so busy. There's so much going on. Well, then make a choice, right? If you're, if you're always saying you're busy, you have chosen to remain busy. You can choose differently. You can say, you know what, I'm gonna take something off my plate. The kids don't need all these activities. I need some me time. You can say, um, I'm gonna have my partner do something with the kids for an hour every week so I can have alone time. I'm gonna look at my morning routine and see if it's too chaotic, if I can change some things. Like it is always a choice. Okay, so remember that it's a choice how we talk to ourselves, it's a choice how we show up in the world, and even who we are being. Denise and I have talked about this on full episodes, but your way of being is what determines what's happening in your life, right? So if you're always being busy and identifying as a person who's busy, you're gonna be busy. So change that, right? It all connects. These bonus episodes are for you guys to piece together some of these longer episodes of like, oh, okay, so she's talking about emotions, she's talking about choice, but then there's the aspect of being, and our thoughts become things. So just remember everything is a choice. Watch how you're showing up, watch what you're saying to yourself and to others because it matters.
