Hey everyone, welcome back to another episode of Heal Yourself Podcast. And I don't even know what to say what we're talking about today. Denise and I just get an idea and we run with it. So it's gonna be a combination of things.

Um but I I think the way I want to start this, the inspiration came from a text my husband got. I don't want to get into the politics of what it was about, but basically he was getting caught up in worldly events and saying he's losing sleep, yada yada yada. Not your husband, the other. No, no, no, no, no. Yeah, not my husband. Um and it's it was so interesting to me. Like my initial instinct was kind of like laughable. Like, really? You're losing sleep over this? Because there's stuff that we can't control. There's stuff that happens in the world that there's nothing you can do about it. You know what I mean? So why get so caught up? Now, granted, could you take some small actions? Sure. Or like if you witness something horrible out there in the world, please say something, do something. But like there's stuff on a grander scale that happens all around us, evil, you know, we'll call it that, that we we can't do anything about.

Right, and then you and I kind of like went back and forth and talked about how there is no darkness without light, there's no light without darkness, the yin and the yang, the good and the bad, and the meaning, absolutely. So we're not gonna go into good and bad because that's a meaning, but light and darkness, this is obviously there's no day without night, right? We can't just all be in day or all in night, and then sometimes, you know, if you look back in history, all these events happened. If you look in the 1600s, 1500s, 1800s, 1900s, whatever it is, and what do we do? We just improve and we do our part, and and some people don't, and they succumb to all these things and they get sick. So, yes, I'm not we're not in denial here when we say don't look at what's going on around you, but if you if it's affecting your health, you can't sleep, you can't eat, you're constantly talking about it, you're perseverating on it. Maybe that's some this is I think where we're saying just take a pause and see what can I do, and don't make your action fear-based.

Action Over Anxiety

Yeah, because you're getting so caught up in something that you potentially have no control over. So it's like if I'm gonna sit and focus on something that has happened outside of me, right? That's creating stress like what can I do in my own world? Like I said to you, I create my own reality. I choose how I feel on a daily basis based on my thoughts, based on my beliefs, based on my actions, I refuse to get caught up in some of this other crap in this world because that is only gonna bring me down. And again, we're not saying ignore things, right? If you're like, no, I w I want to watch the news, I want to see what's happening, that is fine, right? Yes, the news is fear-based, but I still want to know stuff that's happening in the world, but I can put on my blinders in an appropriate way of like, ooh, okay, that's happening. But how is that impacting me as a human being right now in this experience? And a lot of times it's not. But people get so caught up in stuff outside of themselves that they don't want to take a look in the mirror and be like, what can I do to improve myself? How can I be a better person? How can I show up as a better human in this world?

Boundaries With News And Social Media

Right. And that doesn't mean not to do what you are called to do. So for example, I think we were together when uh was it at the event we went to a couple years ago about water, clean water? Yeah, yes, right. So for example, there are, let's say, you know, some parts of the world people are not getting clean water, and this person decided to do something about it and he actually did. So we're not saying for you not to do missionary work or activism, if this is what's called for you. So if there's part of the event that you can contribute to and make better, absolutely. But if you're just sitting home and then typing up on social media and then scrolling and scrolling and typing up some more and then responding, and you're just on your couch, just getting so involved in these events, but you're not doing anything about it, whether internally or externally, then this is what we want you to look at, right? So, for example, this person that we I don't even remember his name, but he didn't. I think he went somewhere and they realized that they were getting gluffs valid, or like there were some diseases that were developing.

It wasn't clean water, and we're talking about charity water, you guys. Charity water is a great one.

Charity water. Okay, so this guy was helping out this doctor, and then he realized about the the dirty water that was causing the diseases. He didn't just go on social media and start saying, Oh, there's no clean water here, there's no clean water here.

I can't sleep at night thinking about these children with diseases. He did something.

Activism That Heals, Not Drains

He started charity water, and then they started supplying clean water to these places, and then it grew and it just became what it is, right? So it is looking what you can do, and if there's nothing you can do about a specific event, just work on having peace, accepting, and prayer. Prayer goes a long way, right? Prayer, having prayer groups, prayer threads. So instead of having slamming on social media threads, you can have prayer threads, prayer groups. And some people say, Oh, prayer doesn't work. Well, yes, it does work, right? So I think it's and we it ties into the was it the love episode that we talked about, it's either love or fear. Yeah, so just coming from a fear base is not going to help solve any problem.

Charity: From Outrage To Impact

Yeah, and that I'll I didn't want to bring it up. I'm just gonna say it, but I want to say that the episode is not about this, right? Because I I didn't want to go there, but I feel like I have to just say it at this point. It was about the Epstein files, right? And everybody knows what's happening, it's on the news, it's on social media, everybody has their opinion, it's fine. What we have learned is disgusting, right? However, do we really think that that type of stuff has never happened before? Do we really think this was the first time that people high up were corrupt? Like, really? And that's the thing. If you're so appalled by it, great, do something. You know what I mean? Don't lose sleep, but do start a foundation. Start, I don't know. Like, there can be things that can be done. Not necessarily about this specific situation, right? I don't think that there's anything we can do, but there are other ways then, you know, like instead of just losing sleep, what can I do? And it kind of goes back to how can I be a better person? Take a look in the mirror, right? If we all take a look in the mirror at ourselves, what are my shortcomings? Where can I grow? Where do I need to evolve? What do I need to learn? Boy, would this world change? But nobody does that. We have the mirrors facing other people. Look at what they did, look at what's happening over here. Oh my gosh, this is so awful. Instead of if we all try to grow and evolve, the world itself becomes a better place. We are not helping anyone by just saying, oh my gosh, all this terrible stuff is happening, and then walking away from it.

Fear Loops And Inner Avoidance

Yeah. And we're we're not like saying, Oh, it's okay. We're not at all. However, yes, again, we have to go back to whatever is described. And honestly, I didn't even look at them. So I'm I'm just a lot of it. Um, I just see it on social. But the thing is, so so things like that, like you said, things like that have not happened throughout the world, not just in the United States. It has. And we're we're not saying it is okay. Please understand that we're not saying it is okay, but when it starts consuming you, and then instead of attending to your activities or to whatever you have going on, you're wasting all of that energy and all that power for that, and it's in the collective in a negative way, exactly. So, and it's just also like I mean, I gave you the example of when I was, which is crazy how it just, it's not crazy because it's always divine timing, how it coincided. So I saw on a Facebook group something about um a CPT code. So CPT code is what we bill. I'm a speech therapist, like doctor, for example, bills a code to get reimbursed by insurance. So there's a code that speech therapists bill to get reimbursed by insurance, and this is under review. And so many comments were they're gonna shut down their practices, they're gonna fire their employees. I'm like, it is under review, and then even if this happens, and let's say they say, well, you have to deliver the 60 minutes or the reimbursement rate's gonna go down, or whatever the outcome of the review is, why are we assuming all of the negative outcomes? Why don't you just pivot? And remember, always when one door closes, another one opens, or a window opens. So it's just the fear-based comments, and that's what it is. We are all living in fear-based realities that we are just taking on any event and then going with it and letting it consume us, and that could also be a distraction from you looking within. So instead of doing the work and instead of looking within, I'm just gonna focus on this situation that I have no control over.

History Repeats Without Inner Work

Yeah, and that's I think if I could just shake everyone, and right, Denise and I are not perfect, right? We we are very open that we're on this journey very much, but I've learned enough that I want to just go out and shake people and be like, if we would all focus on doing inner work, the outer world would change so much. But it just doesn't happen. Like we just focus on what's negative, and this is something else that I messaged you. Um the negative stuff out there, right? Oh my gosh, can you believe this happened? This is so terrible, whatever. There's the dopamine hits, there's the cortisol spikes, that's what people crave. When things are just like, hey, they're pretty good, there's nothing in that. Unfortunately, that's just how we're wired. But that's where we need to get to, is when it's like, hey, the the decent, the good is great. Like that's a dopamine hit for my body, not oh my gosh, I'm gonna I wanna scroll and I want to see what bad crap is happening in the world. You're on mute.

There's always bad crap happening in the world. There's always, I mean, there are countries you haven't even heard of and you don't even know what's going on there. Exactly. Look, you know, if you look in the globe, there are countries that you know, maybe they don't have internet to tell you what's going on in in in their situation or what you know what the politicians are doing, etc. etc. There are countries that have been under the same regime for for years and years and years, and I get that it's unfortunate. Some some people can get out and some people cannot get out. But again, as a collective, what do you do? And we're not turning the blind eye, and again, and again, we we have to go back to there is no light without the darkness. The darkness, the darkness teaches us something, and you know, we learn from it and we develop and we pivot and we adapt, and yeah, you know, and then everything. I mean, we have to go back to the spiritual piece of you, what you and I talk about as well, whether you agree with us or not, and you don't have to. And it is everything and every event and everybody and every is you know falling into the big picture of the grand scheme of things. Yeah, you know, yeah, we are you may not agree with us spiritually, and some people say, So you're saying that this is happening because of this, you know what? That's part of their soul evolution, maybe.

Yeah, maybe it is, and that I I believe that, and that's okay if others don't, but I think that everything happens for a reason, and I'm not saying it's a good reason. We've had that conversation on here. Um, but you said it perfectly, they help us grow.

Start Local: Fix You, Then Serve

But the problem is history tends to repeat itself because people don't learn and grow, so it's like if because we keep it, we repeat the same patterns in the same unconsciousness, yes, no one is waking. I mean, you have the five percent waking up, yeah. So that's why history repeats itself, just like the patterns in your life. When we tell you to look at the patterns in your life, those are get being repeated. It's exactly we are repeating history because we're the generations are not, we're not evolving, yeah, we're not understanding.

And by sitting there and getting upset about stuff happening in the world, that's not evolving. Do something about it then, like you said, charity water, or I think it's even I could be totally wrong, guys. So don't don't quote me on this, but Alex Hanald, you know, the climber who scaled that building. Yes. Um Ted was my husband was telling me I think he's the one that learned that there were like still towns and stuff in like New Mexico and other places here in the US where they don't have electricity, they still don't have electricity, and so he has been working with people to get that change. So, like, do something about it then, right?

So start a foundation, start a charity, start here in our neighborhoods that are going to dinner, that are going to bed hungry without dinner. So exactly do something different, yeah. You know, yes, sure, there are so much crap going on around you. But exactly, look in your neighborhood, look in your backyard. Yeah, and and if your life is a mess though, stop looking at the outside stuff to fix them, fix yourself first, man. That's my point.

Pick up your mirror first, fix you, and then work on fixing other things instead of oh my gosh, this just sucks, but I'm not gonna change myself and I'm not gonna change anything else. I'm just gonna point out everything that sucks in the world.

Premium Channel And Community

Don't start charity to work if your life is a mess. Yeah, if you are not healthy, if you are not financially stable and you're living paycheck to paycheck, or and if your relationships are horrible, don't start charity to work. Start there, start in your own home, in your own self, and then move on to charity work or whatever. Unless you're calling truly, truly charity work. I get it. Like we don't want to tell you not to do that, but everything that's happening, it's always an opportunity to just better yourself, hence your generation. Because when you are bettering yourself, you're bettering the generation that is coming from you.

Yeah, and if you don't we're not staying in the same loop. Yeah, I was just gonna say if you don't know like where to get started on this, if this is your first episode, go back to episode one and start listening. You know, like we've got a lot of pearls in here, and yes, we repeat ourselves a lot, but it's so important, and it's like we need reminders as humans because we get caught up in these patterns. Like Denise and I still do years into this work, and we will always get caught up in the patterns because we're human and you know, we get into happiness.

Absolutely, absolutely. I got caught up in a pattern today, and I realized, like, whoa, you know, but because of this work, I'm realizing faster. You know, I'm going back to the awareness piece, exactly. Nothing happens without awareness. So, you know, we're not talking about specific events. I know you gave an example. There's so much shit happening out there.

That's just one tiny thing.

Guided Breath And Closing Mantra

And this is just one part of the United States. Like you said, there's people without electricity, people without food, just here in our own country. And then you look at the other countries, this is even worse conditions, and others and others and others. But go back to realizing that history is going to continuously repeat itself until also you decide that you are going to play a huge role into this and work on you, hence the generation that comes after you, that come after you.
