Kay Manby Season 1 Episode 10

Send us a text

Join me for a gentle visualisation inspired by the recent lunar eclipse and the golden light of late summer. Together, we'll reflect on what’s come to fruition in your life, gently release what no longer serves you, and plant new seeds of intention into the fertile soil of change. With a nourishing reading by Nadine Stare and grounding imagery from the Qigong tradition, this episode invites you to slow down, breathe deeply, and honour the beauty of both endings and beginnings.

Whether you're feeling the shift of the season or standing at the threshold of something new, this practice is here to hold you. Let it be a soft place to land and a reminder that change can be kind.

Settle in. Take a breath. And let the eclipse energy guide you home to yourself.

I would be so grateful if you could buy me a coffee using THIS LINK. This helps me fund the podcast and keep it going 🙏

A very warm welcome to you today. This is a visualisation about new beginnings and late summer, so just take a moment now to settle yourself into a truly comfortable position and that can be lying down, feeling supported under your knees, behind your back, sitting upright in a chair with your feet grounded. Whatever feels the most comfortable and relaxing for you, that's the right one for you and allow your eyes to soften or close, let your body release down, shoulders relax, face soften and ease and take a deep slow breath in, exhale gently, just letting go.

This is your time, a time to pause, to release and perhaps to step into the energy of new beginnings. I'm going to start with a reading by Nadine Stare. If I had my life to live over, I'd dare to make more mistakes next time.

I'd relax. I would limber up. I would be sillier than I have been this trip.

I would take fewer things seriously. I would take more chances. I would climb more mountains and swim more rivers.

I would eat more ice cream and less beans. I would perhaps have more actual troubles, but I'd have fewer imaginary ones. You see, I'm one of those people who lived sensibly and sanely, hour after hour, day after day.

Oh, I've had my moments and if I had to do it over again, I'd have more of them. In fact, I'd try to have nothing else, just moments, one after another, instead of living so many years ahead of each day. I've been one of those persons who never goes anywhere without a thermometer, a hot water bottle, a raincoat and a parachute.

If I had to do it again, I would travel lighter than I have. If I had my life to live over, I would start barefoot earlier in the spring and stay that way later in the fall. I would go to more dances.

I would ride more merry-go-rounds. I would pick more daisies. If I had my life over, I'd pick more daisies.

So bring your awareness to the contact that your body makes with the earth beneath you. Emerging roots extending down from you deep into the soil, steady and strong. In the Qigong tradition, late summer belongs to the earth element.

Nourishing, grounding, balancing, holding polarity, centering. There are five seasons in Qigong connected to the five elements. Winter, spring, summer, late summer, which will last from about mid to late August until the beginning of October, almost an Indian summertime, autumn and then we return to winter.

We're now in September. Picture the golden glow of late summer fields, the ripening fruit, the warmth of sun-soaked soil and feel this abundance and stability filling your whole being above you. See the luminous harvest moon rising.

This is the time of year when we reap the rewards of the seeds planted earlier in the year. Our efforts, intentions and dreams now come to fruition. Take a moment to reflect on what you have gathered this year so far.

What harvest do you hold? What has come to ripeness? Breathe in gratitude for these blessings and notice too, what has run its course? What has reached completion? Just as fields must be cleared after harvest, there are things in your life ready to be released. If I had to do it again, I would travel lighter than I have. If I had my life to live over, I would start barefoot earlier in the spring and stay that way later in the fall.

On the 7th of September, we had the full blood moon but we also had a lunar eclipse. Eclipses are said to be the helping hand of the universe. Moments of great transformation and clarity if we're willing to open to them.

You can still see the deep red moon slowly darken as it moves into shadow. You can feel the closing of an old karmic cycle. Allow yourself to honour any endings in your own life and then as the moon emerges into light again, sense the invitation of renewal.

The eclipse offers you space to set the intention you most need right now. Even if change feels uncomfortable, remind yourself change is constant. Change is necessary for growth and you can honour who you are.

Moving forward gently, step by step, with trust. Would you go to more dances? Would you ride more merry-go-rounds? Picture your inner world as a house. Slowly walk through its rooms.

Notice what feels cluttered, old, outdated habits and worries. Or emotions that weigh you down. With each exhale, imagine opening a window, letting fresh air and light flow in.

Allow what no longer serves you to drift away. Clear shelves, dust corners. Move out what feels heavy so that now you can see the rooms filled with brightness, warmth and openness.

Space ready for new energy, new life, new beginnings. Are you ready to climb more mountains and swim more rivers? Eat more ice cream and have more actual troubles but fewer imaginary ones? Step outside into the fertile earth of late summer fields. The soil is rich, warm and ready to receive.

In your hands, you hold seeds of intention. Each one carrying something you wish to invite into your life. Clarity.

Courage. Joy. Opportunities.

Peace. Plant them into the earth with care. Cover them gently and water them with your breath.

Trust that these seeds will grow strong, supported by the steady nurturing earth element. Know that the universe itself is helping to guide their unfolding. Just as the eclipse guided your release, take a moment of gratitude.

For mother earth that steadies you and holds you. For the blood moon, the harvest moon that shines upon you. And for the eclipse that clears space for your transformation.

You now have the opportunity to walk forward into a new chapter, grounded and supported. Carrying your intentions like seeds in fertile soil. I am rooted in the earth, steady and strong.

I release the old with gratitude and grace. I welcome change as the rhythm of life. With trust, I plant new seeds of intention.

With courage, I open to transformation. With peace, I walk forward into new beginnings. Feel free to say each line of this mantra after me, either in your mind's eye or out loud.

Feel free to stretch, wriggle fingers and toes, wrists and ankles. Move in any way that serves you or just simply stay where you are. And when you are ready, gently open your eyes.

May you return refreshed, steady and open to the flow of change and new beginnings. Thank you for sharing this quiet space with me. I hope it brought you a sense of peace and presence.

If you feel moved too, I'd love to hear how it landed for you. Your thoughts and feedback really helped me shape future sessions with care. You're welcome to subscribe and share this with anyone who might find it helpful.

And if you'd like to be a guest on the podcast or simply connect, I'd love to hear from you. Take care. Until we meet again, go gently.
