SPEAKER_00:

Picture this. You're curled up with your journal, pen in hand, staring at a blank page. That inner voice whispers, What if facing my truth unlocks the love I've been craving? But doubt creeps in. Am I ready to dig this deep? Wellness warriors, sisters, that's exactly where transformation begins. Hi, I'm Antoinette Lee, your wellness warrior guide from the Midwestern Northwoods. And today, exclusive episode of Let's Get You Married. We're diving into the heart of my new normal big life process. If you caught our intro episode, you know the big idea. You cannot attract what you don't like. Period, full stop. And that starts with liking yourself, understanding your roots, and clearing the blocks. But ideas alone don't change lives, action does. That's why we're walking through your inner glow self-assessment together. This isn't a quick quiz, it's our profound journaling journey. Answer it in paragraphs to spark deep thinking. Grab that journal and quality pen I mentioned next time, or download the free worksheet from the show description. We'll go section by section with time for you to pause and write. If questions arise, email me at Antoinette at nnbl.blog. Please allow three to five business days for a response. But I'm here from you. I'm here just like the emergency friend we'll talk about later. Remember, you cannot attract what you don't like. This assessment reveals why, by shining a light on your pattern, strength, and glow dimmers. It's your map to reactivation. So let's begin. Hi friends, welcome to the New Normal Big Life Podcast. We bring you natural and integrative health information and stories about nature that we hope will inspire you to get outside an adventure, along with a step-by-step plan to help you practice what you've learned, create your own new normal, and live the biggest life you can dream. I'm your host, Antoinette Lee, the Wellness Warrior. Let's get into today's topic. Start with a dream because clarity pulls love toward you. In section one, we're envisioning your ideal partner. Describe in detail the man who's your perfect match, his values, traits, and how he makes you feel alive. Use archetypes to inspire. Maybe the adventurer whisking you on spontaneous adventure trips like my Colorado backcountry meet with Matthew or the protector. He's steady and safe, building that cabin by the river life, as we've done. Or you could blend them. Paint a vivid paragraph. What does a day with him feel like? Pause now and write it out. Feel the excitement. That's your love magnet flickering on. But dreams root in our past. You cannot attract what you don't like if old wounds whisper doubts. So let's work on section two family dynamics. Gently unpack your origin starting with your dad. Was he present full-time growing up or absent for reasons like work or divorce? Describe his character strengths like humor that you admire, or challenges like emotional distance, then assess your relationship with him today, healthy and close, or lace with unresolved pain. How did this shape what you seek in a man? I've reflected on my own father's steadiness and his devotion to my mother, me, and my siblings with help me spot mathods, reliability amid whitewater rapids. I watched him patiently helping blind kayakers, rescuing people who turned upside down in their boats, and it reminded me of my father's good qualities. Don't get me wrong. At our first meeting, we didn't say anything more than hello to each other, but we both noticed good character traits worth getting to know. Now, what's her character like? Was it nurturing, independent, or distant? The health of your bond with your mother, was it open or conflicted? How does it influence your trust in relationships today? Siblings are next. If your relationship with your siblings was close, competitive, or distant, write that down. As an only child, how did that foster your independence? Make sure you write paragraphs and let insights just flow. This is only for you. And this might stir up emotions, but that's growth. What if your family story reveals why your connections today feel hard, but you're not alone? Let's check your network. Section three covers your support network. Loneliness thrives in isolation. So count your close friends. These are the people you see in real life monthly sharing laughs and real talk, deep connection. And if not, why is it busyness, past betrayals? Describe these. What strengthened these bonds? I'm so blessed to have a small but faithful group of friends that I lovingly call the Northwoods Women's Club, as well as friends across the globe and the country. Now let's talk about emergency allies. Who would drop everything day or night? And if no one could reflect on that void, think about how it amplifies singleness. Paragraphs here uncover if you're building walls or bridges. Remember the stats from last episode. 73% of Gen Z feel lonely. This is your step out of the loneliness trap. What if that righteous post you just shared is actually making you lonelier? Virtual signaling that loud declaration of moral superiority on social media has become more than just an annoying trend. It's potentially driving a nationwide and global loneliness epidemic with far-reaching consequences for mental health and social cohesion. Catch season one, episode 17, the loneliness epidemic, how virtue signaling divides America. You cannot attract what you don't like, especially if it's you. Let's turn inward. Section four is about self-love. Rate how much you like yourself from one to ten. And remember, this is only for your eyes. And explain why. Describe your character, write down the strengths you bring to relationships, loyalty, humor, communication, open communications. I discovered that my teamwork was my secret weapon. It drew Matthew in. He saw how helpful I was at the campsite with all of our friends. Like Matthew, I helped kayakers with significant disabilities like an amputated leg to carry their boats to the launch and serve meals at camp. He recalls that I was like a little sun ray of positivity. Section five, past patterns. Explore troubling themes. Attachment issues like clinging out of fear, mistrust after betrayal, and emotional shutdowns or blowups and conflict. Use examples from your life. How did they lead to breakups? Connect to family or self here. If single long term, do you have trouble making small talk, meeting new people, or being open to not have all of your romantic boxes checked? Deep paragraphs here is your liberation from the past. Before we cover the next topic in this episode, I want to introduce you to the Adventure Sports Lifestyle with a story about an adventure that I've had. The Adventure Sports Lifestyle and my deep connection to nature is essential to my good health. So here's the story. About seven years ago, I was on a whitewater kayaking and camping trip with more than 50 veterans and their family members, and I met a guy. His name is Matt. You may have heard me mention him throughout this podcast. And yesterday, Matt took me on a cross-country skiing trip. It was a beautiful winter day here in the Midwestern Northwoods in the United States. The trees were covered in snow. It looked like a winter wonderland. And as we skied throughout our forest and homestead, we went down our little bunny slope. And at the end of it, we paused at a location where we usually launch our boats when we're going downriver and our kayaks. He took off his skis, got down on one knee in two feet of snow. And I didn't see this coming. I was completely confused by what was happening. And then he pulled out a beautiful box. And when he opened the box, there was a light shining down on this beautiful ring. And he said, Antoinette Lee, would you become Antoinette Beriffado? And I've always made fun of women that would just go blank and start to cry and scream and just kind of lose it when they're proposed to until it happened to me. So my mind went completely blank. And then when I realized, oh, I need to provide an answer, I screamed yes, and my voice echoed across the river, bounced off of an island and back at us so loud that I probably scared all the animals in the forest. And I got engaged yesterday. This emerald ring is significant to us because I'm Nigerian and Irish and Matthew is Italian and Irish. And we both love the outdoors. We met outdoors down by the river, and we're both veterans and we love the color green. So having an emerald flanked by two diamonds, if you're listening to the podcast, having this green as a symbol of our devotion and our promise to each other means a lot to me. And I'm so excited to share this great news with you. So I hope this inspires you to get outside in an adventure and maybe find your Matt or Matilda and go off and live a beautiful life connected to nature together. Now back to the episode. Well-being fuels your glow. Section eight is about mental health. Describe your mental mood. Do you feel upbeat or anxious? Do you have any challenges that are not managed well? If not, consider finding a support group or a one-on-one trained professional. Catch season one, episode number 14, Beyond Pills, Nature's Answer to Anxiety and Depression. How is your sleep? How many hours are you sleeping per night? Does it feel restorative or do you wake up feeling exhausted? Oh, I've been there. Write it out. Unmanaged mood and sleep issues damage your connections. So stay until the end to hear about magnesium's rooted cream. This herb and mineral-infused luxurious cream improved my sleep. There's also a formula for pain relief and stress relief. You'll learn more in the ad at the end of the episode. Section seven is physical health. Health is wealth. And as an unknown author says, if you don't make time for your wellness, you'll be forced to make time for your illness. Lastly, let's look at your overall physical health. When was your last physical? If it's been more than a year, you're overdue. As your sister in wellness, I suggest you have a physical exam that includes comprehensive blood work to check your metabolism and major organ functions, as well as micronutrients like vitamin D, magnesium, iodine, B12, and more. Describe your health concerns here and bring notes to your next appointment. Also write down your health and fitness goals after you get your TELTS results back. Make your goals measurable. Reducing inflammation markers, a precursor to many preventable diseases, by 20 points and 90 days is a good measurable goal. I did this through natural methods. So binge listen to New Normal Big Life. Together with the world's top experts, we answer your toughest health challenges with step-by-step plans. By subscribing to nnbl.blog today, you'll receive our free weekly newsletter packed with key takeaways from leading experts, plus free access to all our ebooks and step-by-step guides, including this worksheet. Finally, section eight, additional reflections. What's healthy love to you? What does a healthy relationship look like to you? Beyond the fairy tale, what boundaries, communication styles, and shared values are non-negotiable for you? And are you willing to listen to a partner's non-negotiables? Will you negotiate fairly, openly, and honestly on the other values, excluding your non-negotiables? And how do social media trends like those men or trash posts affect your view on men? And have you caught yourself jumping on them for validation? What one small habit could you start today to nurture your inner glow, such as a daily affirmation or nature walk? Finally, I want to invite you to close your eyes if it's safe to do that now. Otherwise, do this exercise later. With eyes closed, envision your big romantic life. In six months, what does it feel like to have attracted your person? Where do you live? Urban, suburban, rural, in your new big life. What do you do for work or education? What are your hobbies? What kinds of people do you want to surround yourself with? What kind of person will you be? One that attracts the kind of people you want to be around? Describe the joy, the ease, the adventure. After you can picture your new normal and feel your big life, spend 10 minutes each day deeply breathing in for five seconds through your nose. Let's try it now. One, one thousand, two, one thousand, three, one thousand, four, one thousand five. And deeply exhaling fully through your nose as you feel your new life wash over you. Take a five-second inhale and imagine the sights, smells, sounds, and feelings you have as if you've already created this new life. Take a five-second exhale and let those positive vibes and energy wash over you. Before long, you'll be projecting this inner glow and vitality and attracting like-minded people into your life. I did this, it completely worked for me. This activity will regulate your nervous system and implant new messages to replace the old negative programming. Wellness warrior sister, you've taken a huge, brave step today. You cannot attract what you don't like. But now, with these insights, you're rewriting your story. Completing this assessment is a powerful act of self-love. So review your answers for patterns and it'll guide our next episodes. Email any questions or aha shares to Antoinette at nnbl.blog. Magnesium, an unsung hero, fuels over 300 bodily reactions from heart health to stress relief. Magnesium expert Natalie Girato, founder of Rooted In, found freedom from anxiety, insomnia, and pain through topical magnesium. It transformed my life, she says, inspiring her mission to share this mineral's power. Cardiologist Dr. Jack Wolfson calls magnesium essential for heart health, helping regulate rhythm, blood sugar, and reduce inflammation. Up to 80% of people may be deficient at facing issues like depression, migraines, insomnia, or muscle press. For women over 40, magnesium eases metaphysic symptoms, boosts energy, and supports bones. Choosing the correct type of magnesium matters. Real stories, Natalie's in mind, highlighted in text. After interviewing magnesium expert Natalie Girado, I became a customer. I was already a magnesium fan, having been told by two cardiologists to take magnesium for a minor heart arrhythmia. Natalie explains it best in the magnesium and mineral transforming lives episode of New Normal Big Life Podcast. Fast forward after the interview, I bought the Rooted Inn bundle for sleep, tranquility, and pain relief. As a spine injury survivor with several other health challenges, I'm in constant pain. However, I don't take any pain medication. Rooted in is now one more source that nature provided to give our bodies what it needs when it needs it. You can find magnesium in natural bodies of water like lakes and rivers and in soil. But modern farming practices have stripped magnesium out of the soil and our food. That's why today, Rooted In's rest, relief, and tranquility are part of our afternoon and nightly sleep routine. My guidance is due towards taking indoors in a rock with the marine, so had no trouble following. I no longer have to take melatonin before bedtime to fall asleep. So after I became a customer and saw how well these products work, I applied to become an affiliate. I've been sharing the secrets of rooted in with friends and family from age 38 to 68, and everyone has gotten amazing results within minutes of applying the cream.
