Welcome to the Healy Mile. I'm Carrie, your walking bestie, and today's walk is all about starting your day right. It's our gentle reset button, a chance to clear away any stress from yesterday, reconnect to the present moment, and step into this day with clarity, strength, and purpose. We're not going to rush this. We're walking into it slowly and intentionally because how we start our day matters. And today, we're choosing to begin it with love, energy, and peace. So take a deep breath. Let your shoulders drop. And let's go. Let's walk together. As we begin walking at a comfortable pace, let's start by waking up the body. Feel your feet landing beneath you. Let your arms swing naturally by your sides. Your spine is tall, your neck relaxed, and your chest open. As we walk, roll your shoulders back. Give your head a little side-to-side stretch. And shake out any tension in your hands or arms. You're not just moving. You're aligning your energy. And you're meeting this morning on your own terms. As your body finds its rhythm and your breath begins to flow with ease, I want you to imagine this. You're standing at the edge of a quiet overlook. Maybe it's the top of a small hill that peers out over a sleepy town or a long stretch of trees. The air is still, and there's a gentle hush to the world. It's quiet, peaceful, full of potential. The sky is painted in early morning blues, soft silvery clouds brushing against hints of lavender and indigo. You can feel that the sun is on its way, that moment just before dawn when the light hasn't yet cracked the sky, but you know it's coming. That feeling of anticipation, of hope. Take a deep breath here. Inhale the quiet. Exhale anything heavy. Then the magic begins. The horizon softens into gold. A quiet shimmer appears like someone is striking a match at the very edge of the world. And there it is. The first glow of sunlight peeking over the curve of the earth. With each inch it rises. The light stretches further, reaching across rooftops, mountain peaks, treetops, lake ripples, and blades of dew-soaked grass. And just like that, the world begins to glow. Birds start to sing. Flowers lift their heads. The breeze carries a little more warmth. And you, you're standing right there, soaking it all in. The golden light lands gently on your skin, wraps around your shoulders like a shawl, and whispers, you're here. You made it. This is a new day. Let yourself feel the energy of that sunrise. Let it remind you that no matter what yesterday held, today is a fresh canvas. A new breath. A new chance. You get to begin again. Not because you have to earn it, but because life is generous like that. Every day you're invited to step into the light again. Now picture yourself walking forward into that rising sun, light dancing around your feet. Imagine each step is powered by this soft, steady energy. Not a pressure to hustle or prove, but a quiet strength, a knowing that you're supported and guided. As you walk, you begin to notice everything waking up. Maybe it's the sound of sprinklers in the distance. Maybe it's a dog stretching on a front porch or the creak of a coffee shop door swinging open. The whole world is shifting from sleep into aliveness. And so are you. This is your time. A sacred pause between what was and what could be. So keep walking. Let the light guide you. Let the warmth fill you. Let the hope of a new morning remind you that something beautiful always begins again. And so do you. Morning walks help regulate your circadian rhythm, which can lead to better sleep at night. They also release feel-good chemicals like dopamine and serotonin, the same ones that get activated when you laugh, dance, or hug someone you love. That means that this walk you're on right now, it's doing more than getting your steps in. It's literally rewiring your brain for calm, joy, and clarity. And the best part, you don't have to force anything. There's no need for perfection, and you don't have to have any answers. You're just allowed to simply be here, in motion, in breath, in this moment. You're creating momentum in your life, not just in your legs. And there's something almost spiritual about starting the day this way. The early morning is quieter, more sacred, less noise from the world, more space to hear your own voice, your own thoughts, your own truth. And when you begin your day grounded in your body, connected to your breath, and aligned with your values, everything changes. You're not reacting to life, you're responding intentionally, mindfully, lovingly. So if you've been waking up lately feeling heavy, anxious, overwhelmed, or even just a little flat, let this walk be your medicine. Let this rhythm reset you. Let this air revive you. Let this forward motion remind you that you're moving through it, whatever it is. This walk is proof that you're showing up, even if it's hard. Especially if it's hard. And don't forget, movement is one of the simplest, most effective ways to clear your mind. A Stanford study showed that walking can increase creative thinking by up to 60%. That means the very ideas, solutions, and clarity you've been searching for might arrive once your body gets moving. So breathe in that possibility. Every step is a new start. Every breath is a reset. And right here, right now, you're choosing to lead your day, not follow it. Because when you win in the morning, you set the tone for everything that follows. And listen, if your mind starts drifting to your to-do list or something that went wrong yesterday, it's okay. Gently call it back. Back to this moment. Back to this walk. And back to your power. Because this is where your peace lives. You are grounded. You are strong. You are capable of handling whatever comes your way today. So let's keep walking. You're doing something amazing for yourself. Let's keep going with some affirmations. In case you're new to them, affirmations are just positive statements we say to rewire the way we think. You don't have to feel them yet. You're planting the seed by saying them. The more you say it, the more your mind believes it. So you can repeat these silently to yourself or out loud. Whatever feels right for you. Today is a gift, and I choose to receive it fully. Today is a gift, and I choose to receive it fully. I am calm, strong, and ready. I release what I cannot control and focus on what I can. I meet this day with peace and power. I meet this day with peace and power. I protect it with love. My energy is sacred. I protect it with love. Say any of these again if one stood out to you. Let these become your inner dialogue for today. Now let's seal this walk with a mantra. A short grounding phrase you can come back to all day. A mantra is like a compass for your mind. When your thoughts start to spiral or scatter, repeating your mantra can bring you back to center. It really, really works. Today's mantra is begin with peace. Begin with peace. That's it. Let it be simple. Let it be enough. Begin with peace. Begin your conversations with peace. Begin your thoughts with peace. Your choices, your morning, your movement. Begin it all with peace. Say it to yourself now. Begin with peace. Let it land. Let it stick with you throughout the day. As we wind down this walk, let's take a second for some recognition. You showed up for yourself this morning. You took time to walk, breathe, reflect, and reset. And I want you to carry this with you throughout the day. Not just the movement, but the mindset. You don't need a perfect routine. You just need to start with presence, with intention, and with peace. Remember, every morning is a chance to begin again. I hope you enjoyed this walk and that it helped you in some way. I'd love for you to follow this podcast and listen to other episodes and maybe share it with a friend. And come back anytime you need a reset. This and all other walks are always here for you. So thank you so much for joining me here on the Healing Mile today, and I'll see you on the path again really soon.
