If your mind has been going nonstop lately, this walk is going to feel really good. Welcome to the Healing Mini Mile. I'm Carrie, your walking bestie, and today we're going to slow your mind, ease overthinking, and lift your mood with a simple feel-good walk. When our thoughts are moving fast, it can feel like everything in our life speeds up with them. Even small things can start to feel heavier, louder, and more urgent than they actually are. So, what we're doing together on this walk is gently changing that pace so our body and our mind can feel calmer, clearer, and a whole lot lighter. So before we do anything else, just begin by noticing your walk. Notice your steps, the natural rhythm of your feet meeting the ground, the way your arms swing without you even having to think about it. And the way your breath is already moving in and out of your body without you needing to control it. Just take a moment to arrive here. Take a slow breath in through your nose, filling your chest and your lungs expand, and then let it out gently through your mouth, allowing your body to soften as you exhale. One more time, breathe in slowly, filling your lungs with air, and release it smoothly, letting your shoulders drop just a little more. And as you continue walking, notice how your body begins to respond to that slower breath, that slower pace we're gonna have today. Your shoulders may feel a little lighter, your jaw starts to unclench, your hands relax, and your whole system begins to settle into a calmer rhythm. Now, here's something really important we need to understand. When our mind starts moving fast, it often feels like the only way to keep up is to move faster with it. And before you know it, our thoughts are stacking on top of each other, one after another, until everything feels crowded and overwhelmed. But what we're doing on this walk is something different. We're not trying to chase every thought or keep up with everything running through our mind. We're changing the pace. Because when our pace slows, our thoughts begin to spread out. And when our thoughts spread out, something really powerful happens. We begin to feel space, space to breathe, space to think clearly, space to feel calm again. And that space is what allows our mood to shift. Not because everything in our life suddenly changes, but because our experience of it changes. We move from feeling crowded and rushed into feeling calm and present. And that's where clarity lives. So now let's bring that into our body. As you continue walking, gently slow your pace just a little. Not in a way that feels forced or unnatural, just enough to feel more intentional, more grounded, more aware of each step you're taking. Feel your heel touch down and your foot roll forward and your toes push off the ground. Just stay with that for a moment. Step by step, you're creating rhythm. And that rhythm is something your mind can follow. Now bring your attention to one thought that's been looping lately. Just one. You don't need the whole list, just one thought that has been coming back again and again. Instead of diving into it, just notice it. Imagine it placed gently in front of you, where you can see it clearly without being pulled into it. And as you keep walking and breathing, notice how that thought begins to feel a little different, a little lighter, a little less intense, a little more manageable. Because now there's space around it. You're not inside of it anymore. You're observing it while staying grounded in your body. Take a slow breath in and let it out fully. And as you exhale, imagine your thoughts spreading out even more. Like everything is laid out neatly instead of stacked and crowded. There is room now, room to breathe, room to think, room to move forward. Now gently lift your gaze and look around you. Take in your surroundings, the path ahead, the light, the air, whatever is present in your space right now. Let your eyes land on something steady and simple. And as you do, notice how your focus begins to widen. You're not just in your thoughts anymore. You're here in this moment, connected to something real. And as your focus widens, your energy shifts, and your mood begins to lift. As you're no longer carrying everything all at once, you're moving through it. And as we keep walking, let's choose a few steady thoughts on purpose. You can say them silently or out loud. Whatever feels best for you. My mind is slowing down. I create space with every step. I feel lighter with every breath. I am calm, grounded, and present. Just notice how those thoughts feel as we wind down this walk. Notice how your breath feels now compared to when you started. Notice how your steps feel. Notice the subtle shift in your body, in your energy, in your mind. Even if it's small, it matters. Because this is how change happens. Not all at once, but gradually through moments like this where you slow down, reconnect, and create space. And the more you practice this, the easier it becomes to return to this feeling, even when your mind and your day get busy again. You always have access to this through your breath, through your body, through your steps. Now let's take one last slow breath in and let it out fully. And just feel yourself here. Calm, grounded, present. And just like that, everything begins to feel lighter. Well, we made it to the end of this walk, and I'm so happy you're here with me.
