Brian Bott is the owner and operational manager of Sports AdvantEdge and Edge Baseball, with 20+ years of experience as a performance coach. He holds a Master’s in Exercise Science from the University of North Dakota and is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (C.S.C.S.).

A four-year starter for UW-Oshkosh baseball (1993–1996), his teams won one National Championship and placed 2nd and 3rd in the other seasons.

Brian began coaching at the University of North Dakota and spent 13 seasons with Wisconsin Badgers football. The team won three Big Ten titles, made three Rose Bowl appearances, and played in 12 bowl games.

He has trained numerous future NFL players, including Joe Thomas, Travis Frederick, Russell Wilson, and J.J. Watt.

In 2013, he founded Sports AdvantEdge to provide elite training to youth, high school, collegiate, and pro athletes. The facility has trained over 1,000 athletes, ages 8 to 61.

He's a musician, author, and the VP of operations for Beautytap, and he has just released his second book: Side Hustle & Flow: Shape Up!, inspired by his incredible weight loss journey. 

Determined to avoid medication for diabetes and other health problems, he lost 50 pounds in just five months and kept it off for a year so far! His book is more than just a fitness guide; it’s a call to action for a healthier, happier you. His practical advice and motivational style will inspire you to take control of your health to change their lives. 

Joining us today is Dan Trautman, co-founder of Trautman Fitness. Since 2015, Dan has been helping clients reach their rehab, fitness, and performance goals. He holds a master’s in Exercise Science from UW–La Crosse and is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Coach, USAW Level 1 Coach, and Red Cross-certified in CPR and First Aid. Dan leads the personal training side of the business, bringing both expertise and passion to every session.

Outside the gym, he’s a proud dad to his son Lincoln and shares life with his wife Michaela—and their two wild cats, Max and Mila.

Dave Moody's musical journey began with a deep and unwavering love for KISS, a band that not only shaped his childhood but continues to fuel his passion for performing today. Their music, no matter how “crappy” some of the records may be, always brings him joy. KISS, in all their glory, taught him that rock ‘n roll is about more than just the music; it's about attitude, energy, and living with passion.

As a musician, Dave carries that same sense of joy, gratitude, and unapologetic love for his craft. Greg Mahler is a Natural Bodybuilder and a Ketogenic Lifestyle Coach.  He found the Keto lifestyle 10 years ago and has since gotten his PRO Card, found coaching to help others and joined the Keto Brick team.  

As an anesthesiologist, Heather Abernethy has extensive training keeping people safe; however, her passion is helping people feel safe. She teaches trauma-informed care and leads workshops for healthcare providers giving them skills to navigate their demanding environment while developing trust, connection and collaboration with patients and colleagues. This leads to increased well-being and satisfaction for patients and providers.

Hillary Grant is a 4x Natural Olympia Figure Masters Champion bodybuilder,  She is a Concierge Health Coach at Optimal Health in Arizona where she is able to share her decades of experience with her clients.

Jay Ogle has been a passionate advocate for CrossFit since experiencing its transformative impact firsthand. With a belief in how CrossFit brings people together, challenges individuals to surpass their limits, and fosters a sense of community, Jay has been deeply involved in the CrossFit world for over a decade. This lifestyle, which extends well beyond the gym, continues to fuel his dedication to coaching.

In 2019, Jay and his wife, Morgan, moved to Madison, where he opened LeanFeast Madison, a clean-eating restaurant and meal prep service. LeanFeast focuses on providing healthy eating options that are both cost-effective and convenient. With a strong foundation in CrossFit coaching, Jay is now turning the long-held vision of CrossFit Mojo into reality, combining a passion for fitness and community with a dedication to the CrossFit methodology.

Joe is the heart and soul behind Logan’s Heart and Smiles.

Joe has always believed that the purpose of Logan’s life, and the challenges they faced together, was to serve and help others. In 2002, he founded Logan’s Heart and Smiles, leveraging his unique perspective and construction background to make life easier for children and families facing similar struggles.

Jon joined NSFC in the spring of 2015 before graduating with a degree in organizational management from Viterbo University. He comes from a diverse background in marketing and customer service. His most important goal as the Executive Director is to bring stomach cancer to the forefront of the public view and increase the media’s attention to the disease. This is no small task, as stomach cancer is often disregarded as a public health issue, although over one million new cases are diagnosed each year. 

After five years leading the organization with no personal connection to stomach cancer, Jon’s Brother-in-Law, Zack, was diagnosed with Stage IV Hereditary Diffuse Gastric Cancer. Zack lost his battle with the disease within 14 months after diagnosis at the age of 40. Jon now has a renewed sense of purpose and drive to make a lasting positive impact on the stomach cancer community.

Jon Reader,  the Assistant Head Coach for the University of Wisconsin Badger Wrestling team.  During his college wrestling career, he was a three time All American and 4 time NCAA qualifier for Iowa State, becoming an NCAA Champion in 2011.  During this season he went a perfect 39-0 and held the no 1 ranking in every major poll for the entire year.

He started his coaching career as a volunteer coach at his alma mater, Iowa State, where he coached 3 all-Americans. Followed by four years at South Dakota State, arriving at UW Madison in 2018. And, in addition to all that He is husband to Ashley and father to Aubrey and Johnny 

Chaplain Kathy Collins, ASC is an avid reader, loves the game of golf, symphony music, traditional Irish music, and enjoys traveling in and out of the country meeting new people.

Her life experiences of working in the business world, being a volunteer hospice caregiver, and surviving her own personal fight with cancer, gave Kathy the tools to fulfill her spiritual journey of transformation to becoming a hospital chaplain. She continues to share the beauty of bringing heaven and earth together without fear and showing us how much we are all one.

Lisa Feran is a Certified Sports Nutritionist, NCI Certified Coach, Pain Free Performance Specialist and a Personal Trainer. She is also the Owner of Custom Fitness Specialists, a premier fitness and nutrition studio in Madison WI, offering almost 20 years of fitness and nutrition coaching.

Miranda Bush is a longtime USA Triathlon Coach, as well as a health and strength coach.  She owns a nationwide coaching company, MB Coaching and co-owns Zone Racing, an endurance sports team in her local community.  Miranda is a longtime age-group triathlete with multiple Ironman and 70.3 finishes, including many on the podium.  She is Author of the book Far Better, a self-discovery, interactive mindset book.  Miranda believes athletes can benefit from her story and expertise in a way that adds value to their racing careers and overall lives.  She lives in Wisconsin with her husband Jamie, and dogs while supporting her 3 college-aged kids.

Renee Schneider is a certified nutrition and functional health coach, as well as a competitive athlete in Women’s Physique and Figure. She’s a mom to Beau (18) and Lily (16), and wife to Michael (30 years), balancing family life with her passion for helping others achieve their goals of living healthier, more fulfilling lives.

 As a coach, her clients range from lifestyle clients to competitive athletes, all working towards lasting wellness through personalized online coaching.

Renee is the founder and president of TRIO Agency, a full-service advertising and marketing agency.Renee’s journey is all about finding balance—between health, fitness, family, and her professional life.  She has published three macro-friendly cookbooks, including a gluten-free edition, which are available on Amazon.com. Renee has made guest appearances on podcasts and speaks at live events for both the fitness and marketing industries. 

In this episode I am joined by Rob Cadwalleder also known as Dr. Rob, owner of Pro Health Chiropractic in Sun Prairie.  You may recognize his voice from his commercials discussing the therapy options available at his clinic.

He is a Doctor of Chiropractic, getting his education from both the Palmer Institute of Chiropractic and Life University School of Chiropractic.  He has built practices first in Tennesee and then in Wisconsin, focusing not only on Chiproractic care but also multi disciplinary clinics with additional treatment options.  In addition he helped found the Chirpractic  society of Wisconsin and continues to serve on the Executive Board.  

In addition to being a bright shining light to all of his customers, he is a husband and a father!

Sean Casey is the Owner of Case Performance and is kicking off his new brand of Performance Journey Rx.   Sean is a Registered Dietition and Physical Preparation Coach who works with athletes from all around the world.

Sean's passion for helping people perform at their best extends into the business world where he has hosted workshops for banks, schools, community organizations and more. Additionally, he has presented at both National conferences as well as regional clinics and serves as the Director of Applied Human Performance with the Sports Pharmacy Network.

He is an amazing resource for all who know him.

Tami Schiltz is a Registered Dietitian turned Inner Child Healer, after nearly 30 years of struggling with her relationship to food, exercise, and body image. She realized that it wasn’t about the food—it was a way to cope with deeper emotional wounds tied to self-worth. Her healing journey began when she reconnected with her Inner Child, Little Tam Tam, leading to profound changes in her health, parenting, relationships, and coaching.

Now, Tami helps others heal childhood wounds and break free from negative patterns by reconnecting with their own inner child. Her work focuses on emotional healing, empowering clients to foster self-love and acceptance. Tami’s personal healing has taught her to prioritize herself and show up in the world with compassion, strength, and authenticity.  She is also the host of the Unscripted Healing Podcast

Traci Eliszewski, NP (AGACNP-BC) graduated from Marquette University in 2017 and worked in inpatient medicine as both a Neurology NP and an inpatient Hospitalist for the 7 years prior to opening up her on Integrative and Functional Medicine practice with her husband, Dr. Drew; She has taken courses through Institute for Functional Medicine (IFM) and American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine (A4M) and is awaiting board certification in Anti- Aging Medicine. She is an active member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Medicine (AAOM), Seeds Scientific Medicine and Performance (SSRP) and North American Academy of Neural Therapy (NAANT). She holds a peptide therapy certification through SSRP. She joined Forum Health in 2021, where her current focus is on overall health optimization, longevity and anti-aging by balancing and optimizing hormones, weight loss, thyroid, gut heath, peptide therapy, and regenerative medicine techniques.

Vicki Pizzolato is a former Pro Bikini Competitor, former drummer, caring friend, wife to Joe, founder of Mama Vic's Cookies and mother to Corey.  
After the loss of her son Corey, Vicki has displayed how to embrace love and life after such a signifcant loss.  

Wendy Babcock is an International & TEDx Speaker, Author founder of WHEN Stories.

In a nutshell, Wendy inspires audiences to create more positivity, complain less and challenges us all to be a force against bullying by bringing more kindness to the world.

In her personal life, she is a happily married mom of two adult daughters, two perfectly adorable grandkids and a fur-mama of two dogs and two cats.

Wendy is passionate about storytelling and creating stages for people to tell their transformational stories. She launched her new platform, WHEN Stories in Sept 2024. This is a TEDx-style branded stage, anthology and podcast to create increased visibility for speakers.
