How does it work?
Buzzsprout ads will match your ad with listeners who already have an interest in your content. We do that by pulling the categories from your RSS Feed and matching you with other podcasts in those categories. Then we will offer your ad to those podcasts to review and accept on their end.
When you set up and purchase your ad buy, we will automatically begin matching your podcast with the right audience. This process can take some time depending on your categories and filters.
Pro Tip: When purchasing your ad buy pay close attention to your details, once your ad is running it cannot be adjusted!
Tracking the Progress of an Ad
Once the ad has been matched and is running, then you can see the ad's progress within your account. Just go to your Buzzsprout Ads dashboard and click the Running
On the progress page, you can see how many podcasts you are matched with, what podcasts have accepted and are running your ad and the status of your impressions. You will also have the ability to see your matched podcasts and decide if they are a good fit for your ad. If you decide they aren't, then you will have the option of removing them from your matches.
The podcasts running your ad will show on your Live Now
tab. The Listen
link will take you directly to the episode where your ad is running so you can hear it in real-time.
Finally, if your ad is rejected by a podcaster, you will be able to see more information on why the ad was declined. This will allow you to fine-tune your next ad for any future ad buys.
How much does it cost?
Buzzsprout Ads pricing is based on impressions. You will purchase a total number of impressions for each ad buy. An impression will be counted whenever an episode containing your ad is downloaded. So if you purchase 10,000 impressions then we will allow your ad to be placed in episodes until the ad has been downloaded 10,000 times. Check out all our pricing options here: Buzzsprout Ads Pricing
