Fan Mail Replies

Sometimes a listener sends the perfect message, and you want a quick way to reply privately.

Now you can.

With Fan Mail Replies, podcasters can send a quick response to a listener right from Buzzsprout. It’s a simple way to thank someone, answer a question, or ask permission to share a message, without turning Fan Mail into another messaging app.

Each Fan Mail message gets one reply, so the interaction stays simple and easy to manage.

To try it out, enable Fan Mail for your podcast and reply the next time a listener writes in.

Fan Mail now supports voicemail

One of the best things about podcasting is hearing someone’s voice.

Fan Mail made it easy for listeners to send a quick text message. Now, when they want to say more, they can send a voicemail message too.

Voice messages give podcasters a more personal way to hear questions, reactions, and stories from their audience. They also make it easier to bring listeners into an episode by sharing a question or playing a message in the listener’s own voice.

Voicemail messages appear right inside Fan Mail alongside text messages, so everything stays in one place.

To try it out, enable Fan Mail for your podcast and invite listeners to send a voicemail in your next episode.

You can now create and edit chapter markers directly inside the Buzzsprout transcript editor.

If you are already reviewing a transcript or fixing speaker labels, you can now add chapters in the same place. That makes it easier to create a clear episode page on your Buzzsprout website without bouncing between tools.

  • Edit chapters in the transcript: Add, rename, and delete markers without leaving the editor.
  • Use the chapter sidebar: Scan the episode and jump through longer transcripts faster.
  • Show chapters on your Buzzsprout website: Help listeners follow along and move through the episode more easily.

New Podcast Chapter Editor

Podcast Chapter editing UI
Podcast Chapter editing UI

We’ve launched a new Chapter Markers editor that makes it easier to hit the exact right moments in your episode. It includes a visual waveform and smooth controls for placing chapters.

You can now:
  • Use Cohost AI for suggested chapter ideas
  • Add Silent Chapters that stay hidden from listeners
  • Embed chapters and images directly in your MP3 files
The new chapter marker editor will embed your chapters in your MP3 files, so more podcast apps can display them consistently without any extra work from you.

Buzzsprout now supports all major podcast chapter formats, including chapters embedded in MP3 files, Podcasting 2.0 namespace chapters, and Podlove Simple Chapters.

Connecting with people face-to-face, and hearing how Buzzsprout has helped podcasters keep podcasting is one of the most rewarding parts of our jobs. Thank you for everybody who came out!
