Since 2009, Buzzsprout has helped over 400,000 people start their podcasts, and 119,787 of them are still podcasting with Buzzsprout today.
We believe that podcasting is special because it creates a direct connection between you and your listeners. And the real magic of podcasting—your growth, the relationships you build, and the impact your show can have—happens when you continue to show up week after week, and Keep Podcasting.
That's why we've built Buzzsprout to support you beyond your initial launch with the tools, community, and support that help you keep podcasting for years.

We're a team of twenty people based in Jacksonville, Florida who love this medium and are dedicated to the creators who trust us with their shows. Here's how each of us has contributed to that mission:

Buzzsprout Meetup, 2025
All of this work is focused on making it easier for you to Keep Podcasting.
We use Buzzsprout to create shows the same way you do:
And many of our team members run their own podcasts outside of work, like Dreamful Bedtime Stories and Fandom from Afar.
We're investing in the long-term health of podcasting. Buzzsprout was a founding member of the Podcast Standards Project and proud supporters of Podcasting 2.0. Buzzsprout was the initial author of the <podcast:transcript> tag and holds patents for automatically editing audio files. We were also early contributors to the Podcast Namespace, helping standardize tags like <podcast:podroll> and <podcast:locked>.
Since 2019, we've published monthly podcast industry stats on listening apps, devices, and publishing trends. And all of our analytics are IAB v2.2 certified.
Jax Meetup, 2019
Podcast Movement, 2021

Podfest, 2025
For more than a decade, we've attended and spoken at conferences like Podcast Movement and Podfest where we've had the chance to talk with thousands of podcasters face-to-face. We stay involved with local groups, like Jax Podcasters United, and we interact with podcasters every week in our online communities.
These communities are where we hear what's working, what's confusing, and how we can improve Buzzsprout.
Podcasting is healthy and resilient when creators own their shows and connect directly to their listeners. Here's how we support open podcasting on Buzzsprout:
