Resetting microphone access

If you are unable to grant microphone access when trying to leave a voicemail, your browser permissions may need to be reset. Follow the instructions below for several common browsers.

iPhone (iOS)

  1. Open Settings on your iPhone or iPad
  2. Scroll down to the very bottom and tap Apps
  3. Scroll and tap your browser (for example Safari or Chrome)
  4. Tap Microphone
  5. Make sure microphone access is set to Ask
  6. Go back to the webpage reload the page and try again

Android 

  1. Open Settings on your Android device
  2. Scroll and tap Security and Privacy
  3. Scroll and tap Controls and Alerts
  4. Make sure Microphone Access toggle is turned on
  5. Go back to the webpage reload the page and try again

Google Chrome

  1. Open Google Chrome
  2. Go to the website where the microphone is not working
  3. Click the lock icon or settings icon to the left of the address bar
  4. Select Site settings
  5. Find Microphone
  6. Toggle the switch to be on. You can also click the Reset Permissions button
  7. Reload the page and try again

Safari

  1. Open Safari
  2. Go to the website where the microphone is not working
  3. In the top menu bar, click Safari
  4. Select Settings for This Website
  5. Find Microphone
  6. Set the option to Allow
  7. Reload the page and try again

Internet Explorer

  1. Open Internet Explorer
  2. Click the gear icon in the top right
  3. Select Internet Options
  4. Click the Privacy tab
  5. Click Sites
  6. Remove the website from the list if it appears
  7. Reload the page and try again
