If you are unable to grant microphone access when trying to leave a voicemail, your browser permissions may need to be reset. Follow the instructions below for several common browsers.
iPhone (iOS)
- Open Settings on your iPhone or iPad
- Scroll down to the very bottom and tap Apps
- Scroll and tap your browser (for example Safari or Chrome)
- Tap Microphone
- Make sure microphone access is set to Ask
- Go back to the webpage reload the page and try again
Android
- Open Settings on your Android device
- Scroll and tap Security and Privacy
- Scroll and tap Controls and Alerts
- Make sure Microphone Access toggle is turned on
- Go back to the webpage reload the page and try again
Google Chrome
- Open Google Chrome
- Go to the website where the microphone is not working
- Click the lock icon or settings icon to the left of the address bar
- Select Site settings
- Find Microphone
- Toggle the switch to be on. You can also click the Reset Permissions button
- Reload the page and try again
Safari
- Open Safari
- Go to the website where the microphone is not working
- In the top menu bar, click Safari
- Select Settings for This Website
- Find Microphone
- Set the option to Allow
- Reload the page and try again
Internet Explorer
- Open Internet Explorer
- Click the gear icon in the top right
- Select Internet Options
- Click the Privacy tab
- Click Sites
- Remove the website from the list if it appears
- Reload the page and try again
