What is overage?

Overage Example

Each Buzzsprout plan gives you a set amount of hours that you can upload each month. Plans range between 2hrs/month on the free plan to 12hrs/month on the $24 plan.

These limits are a soft cap; you can keep uploading new episodes past your limit and you'll just be billed for the overage next month. Extra hours cost between $2 and $4 depending on which plan you're on.

Here are a few examples:

  • The $24/month plan comes with 12 hours of new content each month and overage costs $2/hr. If you were to upload 14 hours in that month on that plan your overage would cost $4. (14hrs - 12hrs = 2hrs of overage that is billed at $2/hr for a total of $4)

  • The $12/month plan comes with 3 hours of new content each month and overage costs $4/hr. If you were to upload 3.8 hours in that month on that plan your overage would cost $4. (3.8hrs - 3hrs = 1hr of overage after rounding up that is billed at $4/hr for a total of $4).
