iTunes is best way to get your podcast in front of new listeners.
But sometimes you want to remove an iTunes listing. This might be because you're canceling your podcast, the listing is incorrect and you can't change the RSS feed, or due to a complaint about your podcast. Whatever the reason, iTunes makes it easy to remove your listing from the iTunes store.
Warning: Removing your podcast from iTunes will cause you to lose your iTunes listing and all of your reviews. If you add it back later your podcast will not rank as highly as it use to.
iTunes added the ability to remove a podcast when they launched iTunes Connect. If you still have the Apple ID that you used to submit your podcast to iTunes, then this is the preferred way to remove a podcast from iTunes. Your podcast will be associated with your Apple ID even if you submitted it before iTunes Connect was launched.
Apple will mark your podcast to be removed from iTunes. It should be removed within 24 hours.
1: Find the iTunes listing that you'd like to remove by searching for it in the iTunes podcast store
2: On the podcast listing page, you'll be able to see all of the episodes for that podcast. Click on the Report a Concern link to file a concern with iTunes.
3: This will take you to a new page where you can report a concern with iTunes. From the dropdown select Remove a Podcast, then put in your email address (we recommend using the email address in your RSS feed if you still have access to it). Then put in a comment about why you would like the podcast taken down. We recommend using something like this:
I am the owner of the podcast and I would like this listing taken down. We lost our login to our Feedburner account and have setup a new RSS feed with a new host. To avoid confusion, we'd like to remove this listing from iTunes. Please let me know if you have any questions.
4: Click Submit and your request will be sent to iTunes. It's as easy as that.
