Once you list your podcast on Castbox through your Buzzsprout Directories page, you can claim it directly on their platform. When you do, you will see the specific analytics they provide and can respond to any comments that your listeners leave on their platform!
Step 1: Add Your Email to Your Buzzsprout Feed
Castbox verifies ownership by checking the email address shown in your RSS feed. So first, you'll want to add your email to your Buzzsprout feed! Here's how:
- Head to your Buzzsprout account and go to Directories > Email Verification.
- Enter your email address and click Add to Feed. We'd recommend adding it to your feed for 48 hours.
Step 2: Head to Castbox
- On Castbox, sign in or create an account.
- Head to their Creator Studio and, under the Channels tab, click the Claim Ownership button.
Step 3: Enter Your RSS Feed
- In your Buzzsprout account, head to Directories > RSS Feed and copy your RSS link.
- Back in Castbox's Creator Studio, enter your Buzzsprout RSS feed in the first box labeled "Your channel link on Castbox or RSS feed."
- In the "Your Email Address displayed in Your RSS Feed" box, enter the email that you included under Directories > Email Verification.
- Press "Submit."
Step 4: Verify Your Email
Castbox will send a confirmation to the email address added to your RSS feed. This makes sure that you are the owner of the podcast. Click the link to claim your show, read and confirm their terms of service, and you'll be all set!
Now, you can navigate Castbox's platform! On the
Analytics tab, you'll find your Castbox-specific analytics, and under
Community > Comments, you'll see any comments that listeners have left you on Castbox!
Analytics Note: Castbox and Buzzsprout track different metrics, so the analytics shown on your Castbox dashboard may differ from those displayed on your Buzzsprout
Stats page.
