You can move your show's hosting from Spotify for Creators to Buzzsprout while keeping your existing episodes, listings, and listeners! We'll walk you through the process here!
Prepare Your New Buzzsprout RSS Feed
Redirect your Spotify for Creators RSS Feed
Once you've set up your Buzzsprout account, you'll need to redirect your Spotify RSS feed. This allows you to keep your existing listings and followers. Here's how:
- Sign in to your Spotify for Creators account.
- Go to Settings > About.
- Scroll down to More Actions, where you'll see the Redirect Your Podcast field.
- Grab your new Buzzsprout RSS feed from your Buzzsprout account. You can find it under Directories > RSS Feed.
- Paste the Buzzsprout RSS feed into Spotify's Redirect URL field.
Now your redirect is in place! We recommend keeping your Spotify for Creators account active for two weeks to ensure the redirect has time to solidify. You'll post all new episodes and updates in Buzzsprout, and they will show on your listings!
Analytics from Spotify
You'll notice that the analytics from your Spotify for Creators account don't transfer over automatically to Buzzsprout. Because of this, we recommend saving your stats from your Analytics page on Spotify.
- Log in to Spotify for Creators
- Head to the Analytics tab and find the chart you'd like to download. You can export your overall plays data, audience data, and data for all or individual episodes.
- Adjust the date range and time filter.
- Click Export to CSV or Download CSV to download the file to your device.
