You can move your show's hosting from Acast to Buzzsprout while keeping your existing episodes, listings, and listeners! We'll walk you through the process here!
Prepare Your New Buzzsprout RSS Feed
Redirect Your Acast RSS Feed
Once you've set up your Buzzsprout account, you'll need to redirect your Acast RSS feed. This allows you to keep your existing listings and followers. Here's how:
- In Acast, head to the Shows page and then the Settings tab.
- Scroll down and open the tab for Show Redirection.
- Read through Acast's information to "Prepare your show before importing and redirecting," complete any needed steps, and check the box: I have prepared my show for import and redirection.
- In Buzzsprout, copy your new Buzzsprout RSS feed (found under Directories > RSS Feed in your Buzzsprout account).
- Back in Acast, paste your Buzzsprout URL in the New feed URL field and press Redirect feed.
- Press Redirect Feed and confirm the change.
Now your redirect is in place! 🎉
We recommend keeping your Acast account active for two weeks to ensure all directories have time to see the redirect. Now, you can post new episodes and updates in Buzzsprout, and they will show on your listings!
Analytics From Acast
You'll notice that the analytics from your Acast account don't transfer over automatically to Buzzsprout. Because of this, we recommend saving your stats from your Insights page on Acast. Here's how:
- Log in to your Acast account
- Head to the Insights page
- Click on the name of your show to see Acast's analytics reports
- Press Export next to any reports that you'd like to save
