How do I move from Simplecast to Buzzsprout?

You can move your show's hosting from Simplecast to Buzzsprout while keeping your existing episodes, listings, and listeners! We'll walk you through the process here!

Prepare Your New Buzzsprout RSS Feed

Start by signing up and setting up your Buzzsprout account. This will generate your new RSS feed, which you'll use to update podcast directories. We’ve laid out the full process in our guide about moving your podcast to Buzzsprout.

Redirect Your Simplecast RSS Feed

Once you've set up your Buzzsprout account, you'll need to redirect your RSS feed. This allows you to keep your existing listings and followers. Here's how: 
  1. In your Simplecast account, click the Settings icon in the drop-down menu in the top left corner. CleanShot 2025-12-12 at 09.18.35@2x.png
  2. Click Distribution from the menu, and then Advanced Settings under your RSS Feed! CleanShot 2025-12-10 at 19.24.13@2x.png
  3. In Buzzsprout, copy your new Buzzsprout RSS feed (found under Directories > RSS Feed in your Buzzsprout account). CleanShot 2025-10-08 at 15.59.37@2x (4).png
  4. Back in Simplecast, paste your Buzzsprout URL in the RSS Feed Redirect box and press Save in the top right-hand corner. CleanShot 2025-12-10 at 19.26.17@2x.png
Now your redirect is in place! 🎉 We recommend keeping your Simplecast account active for two weeks to ensure all directories have time to see the redirect. Now, you can post new episodes and updates in Buzzsprout, and they will show on your listings!

Note: Simplecast only allows redirection for its paid subscribers!

Analytics From Simplecast 

You'll notice that the analytics from your Simplecast account don't transfer over automatically to Buzzsprout. Because of this, we recommend saving your stats from your Analytics page on Simplecast.
